The time has come, as the overgrown robo-chicken prepared to deliver the final blow upon the strikedramon - there was no more time to lose - hesitation would have proven lethal for the defeated digimon. Fortunately for him, Renee figured how the fight will end long before they had come to such a logical conclusion - out of the two clones, she certainly was a more experienced fighter. And she knew how this would end. The renamon did not want to, but she knew she had to intervene, or else strikedramon would not survive this fight...
... Out of the darkness of the forest, a shadowy figure emerged. The outline was obscured, because it was dark itself, and blurred in the shadows. The only things that were seen were 9 crimson fires in a half-circle, and an eye glowing. One eye. The scars dealt to Renee by angemon when she was a renamon passed to her evolution - a half of her face was covered with an ugly scar, and an empty eye-hole was visible - and possibly even more frightening than the glowing eye.
- I sense in your future ... you are going to ... DIE. - she thought, but never voiced it out loud - never call your attacks before executing them, lest you wish the enemy to have a chance to evade. Renee was always faithful to that idea. The youkomon approached the battlefield, and unleashed upon the enemy the most powerful attack imaginable - her flames on the tails combined into one, roaring flux of dark fires, which sought upon the poultrymon, ... a flaming dragon which flew at great speed to strike without mercy, and burn to ashes, leaving nothing behind. This was how the attack was called, by the way - Jaenryu - Evil Flame Dragon...

Diatrymon squawked out in pain as he was knocked away from his prey by the evil flame dragon attack, his feathers burning red hot and scorching his skin. This had done heavy damage to him, and being a giant metallic bird, he wasn't quite accustomed to it. He however, wasn't down and out... not quite yet. He stood up, rage flashing in his eyes, and he began to glow. "Diatrymon digivolve too.." Diatrymon screeched, as his form changed shape. "Crowmon!" He finished, as the glow subsided, revealing a black crow like digimon with a third leg and its two Dokkosho mounted on it's wings. Looked towards his attacker, a Youkomon. "Insolent creature." He grumbled at the purple vixen. He extended his wings, and took flight. "Looks like you've already been foolish enough to tick someone off. Shame you didn't learn from your foolishness." Crowmon snickered as he noted the vixen's missing eye.Though the injury might have been scary for the weak, he inflicted those injuries his opponents. So as hideous as it was, he only viewed it as a symbol weakness. Plus it made her completely blind on one side which was quite the handicap too. "Face my wrath! Savage Emporer!" He shrieked, as he concentrated the power from his Dokkosho into his third foot, and fired the energy at the Youkomon.

Strikedramon had come to by the time the Diatrymon had raised his beak to strike him down. However, the giant bird had already pinned him down, and he could only struggle to free himself before the attack came down on him. His efforts were fruitless though. The bird was too strong, and he was at half strength. What happened to not making these mistakes? He thought bitterly as he glared into the eyes of who was likely to be his killer.
Khrys fished through her cards desperately. Teleport would work... if Diatrymon wasn't in contact and wouldn't end up teleporting along with him. Golden shield... would it work? Strikedramon was on his belly and trying to wield a shield backwards would be awkward to do at best. It was all she had though, so she went to swipe the card... only to be interrupted by the sudden appearance of a dragon shaped burst of fire, knocking the Diatrymon out of the way. Khrys blinked. What did that?
Strikedramon was surprised as well. He looked to where the attack came from, and spotted a Youkomon, a nine tailed fox digimon. What shocked him the most was the grievous injury to it's eye. As oddly familiar as the digimon was though, the Diatrymon was problem numero uno. Unfortunately it had become an even bigger problem, as the Diatrymon had digivolved to it's ultimate form, Crowmon, which had turned on the Youkomon with it's own attack. Strikedramon got himself up, not fast enough to do anything about the digimon's attack on Youkomon, but he could still put some hurt on it. He ran half way up a tree, before launching back toward the Crowmon, his fists on fire as he aimed a strike fang attack on the black bird digimon.

The powerful flame attack, which was landed on the enemy by surprise, dealt enough damage to fry the annoying chicken into chicken-nuggets. With salsa, mmm... Unfortunately, said poultry didn't think about giving up and dying already, and instead evolved in a feeble attempt to save his life. Hnh, as if it were only level that mattered in a fight. For some reason every last douche who suddenly evolves thinks he's invincible, and turned the tables in his favor for good, even if a moment ago the opponent was mopping the floor with him.
Renee only smirked in contempt as she heard the angry rant from the poultrymon - she may have had a handicapped vision, but the crowmon's handicap was much more severe - she lacked an eye, he lacked a brain. Instead of attacking her immediately, he indulged in senseless blah blah blah, and, what was worse, called his own attack before launching it. If Renee would have still been in her humanoid-shaped form, she'd facepalmed - that was the stupidest thing in a fight anyone can make. The powerful energy attack was really no surprise after such a gratuitous warning - she moved out of it's trajectory before it was even launched, so the energy blast simply hit a tree.
The flyboy was in a great disadvantage in the forest - for starters, trees hindered maneuver, attacking, and if he;d rise above them - he'd lose vision of the target completely - the green covering them from sight. This was why Renee kept to the ground, despite being able to fly with the assistance of her magic powers. On the ground she kept both sight of the enemy, and maneuverability. And besides, the ultimate had to be severely weakened before the evolution, so in the long run, if preserving her powers, she would win.
Unfortunately, her views on strategy were not shared by everyone - the strikedramon, instead of waiting to replenish his strength and recuperate, while a fresh digimon could fight, decided to play hero and attack the flying digimon with a melee attack. This was rich, Renee only sighed when she saw it coming. She had a hunch she'd have to bail him out again, should he fail, however, even such an event she could pull to her advantage - that frantic attack was a perfect distraction - if he hits, or if the bird spots him first - it would be distracted for her to launch her own attack - a long-ranged one.
She waited till strikedramon would hit, or miss, it didn't matter, and when what had to happen happened - she launched her fireball attack - swiping her tail, 9 little balls of fire went on flying, and went straight for the flyer - with trees hindering movement, and strikedramon likely distracting him, it would be hard to evade balls of fire, which would explode upon contact, or worse - entrapping him in a cage of fires, flying around, forsing down to the ground . And crowmon was covered with feathers, not steel, but normal ones, which were highly inflammable...

Strikedramon's attack, had unfortunately missed the large bird digimon. "Hmph! Eat that you stupid lizard." The crowmon huffed as he watched him fall to the ground. No where was that yo-- "Ack!" He squawked, as the Youkomon's fireball attack landed on him, exploding and singing his feathers, sending him plummeting right down to the ground.
The crow hit the ground roughly, but on his feet. A beady eye fell on the Youkomon. "Don't you know you shouldn't play with fire!" He spat, firing another savage emporer attack at the digimon.
Strikedramon growled as he hit the ground, having missed his target. He was growing weak, but he had to fight. He had to eliminate this digimon! Strikedramon got up, and ran right for the crowmon that had now hit the ground, his body alight with blue flames as he leapt up and began pummelling the Crowmon.
Khrys knew Strikedramon would fight and keep fighting to bring an opponent down, but he had already been thoroughly beaten, and Khrys knew when to throw in the towel and fight another day. "Strikedramon, back off, we need to retreat!" Khrys ordered. It was too fortunate that the Youkomon had appeared. It had saved Strikedramon, and it's appearance would provide a good distraction to allow her and Strikedramon to escape.
However, it didn't seem as if Strikedramon was even listening. He instead, kept going at the Crowmon. "Strikedramon! Listen up! We have to run now!" She yelled right into her digivice. If he didn't hear that, well... The only explanation was that he just wasn't listening.
Strikedramon's mind had gone numb. The only thing he could think of was pulverizing this digimon. Punch, kick, punch kick... What ever his commander had said to him, had fallen on deaf ears. Even as the Crowmon turned on him and started striking him with flaming claws and bolts from his Dokkosho, he did not bother to dodge or even keep any amount of distance. He just kept up on a wild attack.
"Strikedramon, fall back!" Khrys ordered again, this time though, the panic in her voice was obvious. She had never seen Strikedramon fight this viciously before, and he had never disobeyed a command. "Digimodify! Golden Shield activate!" Khrys said, swiping the card, hoping to at least give Strikedramon something to defend itself with.
Strikedramon however, didn't even seem to acknowledge that the shield had appeared, instead he continued fighting viciously. It took no time at all before Strikedramon had simply taken too many hits, and with swipe from the Crowmon's foot, he was sent flying backward several feet, his body sliding across the ground before he slowed to a stop. Strikedramon's image began to blur slightly, before he dedigivolved back into BlackMonodramon, and simply lay there unconscious.
"BlackMonodramon, no..." Khrys whimpered. She then ran out towards her digimon, and quickly pulled her partner out of the way of the field. This was a huge risk, she knew full well of that, but she wasn't going to leave her partner to be destroyed.

Renee gave out a low, malicious laughter as her fire attack hit the bird, setting it ablaze, and enjoyed hearing its screeches of pain and anguish, a sadistic smile appearing on the youkomon's face. Old habits die hard, she still loved inflicting pain on those she hated. A world of hurt. Now the flyboy was down, his wings clipped, so she could deal with him close and personal now. Another attack was expectable, but she had a plan what to do. However, her plans did not include a crazy strikedramon though...
- I do not play... - the youkomon said, as the bird hurled another energy blast at her - the blue ball of spiritual power coming strait at her. She could evade it, she had foreseen the attack - the bird obviously did not have anything better, nor creativity or tactical prowess, but Renee figures she could try ... a counterattack. As the attack came at her, she swung her tail, the fires of all nine ends combining into one again, and unleashed a fully-powered Evil Flame Dragon attack straight at the energy wave. The fire attack, being more concentrated than the underpowered blast the crow launched, poked a hole through the enemy attack and went straight at the target that launched it. The wave, however, continued moving towards the youkomon, but she could take it. The energy blast sent her flying backwards, but she managed to land on her both feet, to see that her own flame dragon went towards the crowmon, and, with a roar, opened his "mouth" to devour it.
- I cook...

After having taken another hit from the Youkomon's evil flamedragon, then a reckless beating from the Strikedramon on top of that, the Crowmon certainly wasn't looking too good. At least the Strikedramon was down. Only reduced to rookie, but he was no longer a threat. Even as his tamer began to carry him off, he simply turned and ignored him. The Youkomon was still standing and he knew full well at this point he wasn't going to win. He had no intention of fleeing.
The crowmon launched himself at the Youkomon, and his talons extended forward to grip the Youkomon's fur and harness. He knew this was unlikely to kill the Youkomon, but it was more likely her next attack would kill him no matter what he did. He just planned on doing as much damage to this vixen as he could before he was deleted. Whether he had missed or landed on the Youkomon, his attack didn't change. He fired his savage emporer attack at the Youkomon.

Khrys had successfully gotten BlackMonodramon a safe distance away from the battle. She sat him behind a tree, and looked him over. "Oh Mono..." She murmured softly. "What happened back there?." She was far more worried than angry, a sad frown the main feature of her expression.
Monodramon groaned, but he could only shrug. He had no idea what had happened back there. Well, he went totally ballistic. He knew that much. But... Why? All he knew was that this feeling, this... urge, it had been there in the back of his mind since he had digivolved. He thought nothing of it, but lately it had gotten more and more difficult to ignore. Today it just... took complete control of him and after that he couldn't even stop himself.
"You were stressed out. Its my fault." Khrys said suddenly, causing BlackMonodramon to blink in surprise as his partner begun blaming herself. "You've been fighting digimon all day. I shouldn't have pushed you this hard." She said, hugging her partner.
BlackMonodramon remained quite still, simply accepting his partner's assumed explanation. It wasn't like he could tell her exactly what it was anyways. He didn't know for sure what it was, but he couldn't risk revealing any fault in him, or else he'd end up sent back to those scientists... Then who knows what would happen then. He just had to keep himself in check. He couldn't let himself lose control like that again.
Khrys took a peak from behind the tree, watching what little she could see of the battle from their position. She couldn't really see much, but she did hope for a chance to at least thank the Youkomon. Well... maybe, maybe not. Chances were, they'd have to go after her tomorrow. She didn't want to, but well... Orders were, orders, and who knows what that Youkomon's intentions were.

Nearing the end of the battle, Crowmon really was starting to look pathetic. His feathers were seared, he was beaten and bruised, and looked like a hen-pecked chicken. Ha, weak. But instead of running for his life the poultry decided to go in the offense, regardless. Considering he wasn't able to get airborne, it was quite funny, as he charged against Renee in a vain attempt to harm her.
- Going down in a blaze of glory run, huh? Alright. - the fox asked as he approached, and gathered energy at the ends of her tail, to meet the attacker with a fireball in the face, at point - blank range. She did not expect the rooster to have energy for a final shot though, and that ticked her plans off a bit - he too wanted to fire at point-blank range, and there was little to no time to evade it.
- Die. - a cold statement came as the fox launched her fireballs against the enemy energy blast, causing both to detonate in a great explosion that engulfed both digimon in flames and smoke. And then ... everything went quiet. That silence was held for a few moments, before being disrupted by youkomon's dark, sinister, sadistic laughter. There was pain in it though, she was hurt, but the blast sure as hell should have got the crowmon too...

When the Youkomon's attack collided with his own, Crowmon stood no chance, getting hurled back, his body disintegrating into data before he even hit the ground.
---------
