★ AKIRA ★ I want to live in fire, with all the taste I desire.You lose your routine, 'cause I found my path.- - - - - - - - - - - - It was late. Very late.
Akira had no idea of the time, but the full moon high in the clear night sky told him that it was well past 2 in the morning... and obviously, that he couldn't sleep. Memories of past events kept running through his head, silently bothering him. He hid it well behind a facade, but he could feel it slowly slipping with the lack of sleep. With a visible sigh, his breath coming out in a cloud-like puff, he suddenly realized that he felt very alone - and it felt very strange to him. And with those feelings, he knew exactly where he was going to go and what he was going to do.
Tucking his hands into his pocket, he pulled out an IPod, quickly unraveling the ear buds and placing them in his ears. Starting and turning up the music, he released a sigh of relief before moving on along the sidewalk, his boots thumping on the concrete with each step he took. The lights of the city continued to distract him from unwanted thoughts as he made his way by them, stopping at the occasional crosswalk to let the cars go by. It was your average night in Tokyo, even with it being as late as it was, there was still so much activity. The main shops may have been closed, as well as your other businesses, but that didn't stop street vendors, host and night clubs.
Once or twice, he had considered going to one of these, but he found himself unable to do so, simply for the fact that it never interested him. As the sign changed to allow him to cross the street, he idly did so, his mind wandering off on other things yet again. It hadn't been too long since he had met what was his digital partner, Blackguilmon, and while he usually sneaked the creature in to live at his place, the black Dino decided he needed some fresh air. And so, in turn, that was his destination that night - but not his only goal.
Without a second thought, he pulled his black and silver coat around him tighter and slipped through the gates into the park, keeping his head low as he moved along the paths. He ran into an occasional person or two, but the majority of them seemed drunk wither with alcohol or from something else, which he could see all too clearly in their aura, which made him shiver in disgust. Pulling his hood over his head, he stopped, leaning against what would seem to be a random tree to anyone else, but to him, it was a marker - and he remained there until he was certain he was alone in the area. With a huff, he pulled his hood back down, removed the ear buds from their places, shutting off the respective technology and stuffed it into his pocket as he slid around the tree.
Carefully maneuvering his way through the trees and somewhat dense underbrush for what seemed like an hour, he came to a fairly large, well hidden, cleared area and waited - he would be here soon. Of course, he wasn't left waiting long as the black Digimon emerged from the trees on the other side of him, a faint smile on his face. "Is tonight the night, Aki?" He asked, his entire being twitching with anticipation.
Shifting his silver gaze to land on Blackguilmon, a smile formed on his face at the nickname before quickly transforming into a smirk smirk, his eyes glinting with a hint of his own anticipation, "It is."
"Well, its about damn time."

+++++ "ZZz...""ZZZZz..."Needless to say, both Guilmon and Takato were sound asleep in their bed, with the clock now well past midnight. There had been quite a few digimon out lately, and the two had been doing their best to counter these digimon the best they could. However, juggling those tasks with their ordinary tasks, was quite exhausting, and a good night's rest was what they both needed. However, good night's rest wasn't quite meant to be. Guilmon's eyes bolted open, and he lifted his head in full alert. In an instant he stumbled off the bed and bolted to the window, eyes contracted to small dots, and a low growl rumbling in his throat as he glared out the window at a distant digimon he had sensed. "Takato, digimon!"Takato's first alarm to wake up was Guilmon's simple act of stepping over him and getting off the bed. He lifted his head, eyes staring blankly at nothing in particular, before he let his head fall again as he tried to get back to sleep. Then Guilmon growled and spoke up, and Takato forced his eyes open. "Wha? Guilmon no, it's too early. Go to sleep..." Takato mumbled, then closed his eyes and attempted to sleep again. Guilmon snapped out of his fighting trance, but he was still intent on this battle. "Well no one told the digimon that, and now it could be causing trouble..." Guilmon whined, nudging his tamer insistently. Takato mumbled a bit as he finally got up, rubbing his eyes. "Okay, okay, but be quiet. If Mom and Dad catch us going out we won't be able to go." He said, pulling himself out of bed. Slowly, he got dressed, and attached his digivice and digimon card sleeve to his belt, and slipped on his goggles. The two then quietly headed into the hallway and down the stairs, pausing only once outside his parent's bedroom door to be sure they were asleep. Takato then put on his shoes and a jacket, and the two left, Guilmon running while Takato pedaled along side him on his bike. Takato followed Guilmon down the street, and they were headed towards the forest. Figures. There's always digimon popping up there. Takato thought. They both spotted the digital field along the edge of the forest, but as they approached it, the field dispersed, with nothing to show for it but the silhouette of two figures who left before Takato and Guilmon even got there. "Oh great, that was a waste of time." Takato remarked, looking around for whoever had dealt with the digimon, but they were long gone. Well, they had been beat to the digimon, and all they had left to do was go home and get what sleep they could for the remainder of the night. "We missed it Guilmon. Lets go." He said, moving to turn his bike around. Before he could though, Guilmon started growling again. Takato blinked at him. "What? Another one?" He asked in disbelief. Of course, Guilmon's best response in this state was to take off on him. Takato sighed and pedaled hard to catch up with his partner. Guilmon lead him along the edge of the forest. After a while, he veered right into it. With all the dense undergrowth, Takato couldn't get his bike through, so he abandoned it and ran for Guilmon. "Guilmon! Come back!" He called out, as he chased his partner. Guilmon however, was intent on finding the owner of this scent though, and he didn't stop until he burst into a clearing, facing it. At this point, the shock was so much it snapped him back to his normal docile persona. He couldn't quite understand what he saw. It was him! Black, but it was him! He simply stood there and stared. He never saw another guilmon before, and he didn't really know what to do at this point. Takato soon arrived on the scene as well, and his reaction in general, was quite the same. That was a guilmon? But that was impossible. He made Guilmon himself! His guilmon was the only one! What the heck? "Hey! What's up with-- How do you have a guilmon?" He couldn't help but ask the boy that was with the black guilmon, whom he assumed was his tamer.[/blockquote]

"Never was One For Listening" The duo walked through the woods with ice cream cones of the same flavor, the moon providing the only light for them as everything else was covered in a blanket of darkness. Not that it mattered, Brittany was more than confident in their abilities to take on anything within these woods, though she would rather avoid conflict if possible. This was the only time she really got to spend with her partner, considering how things were at home and how she was still without one of her own. In any case, she hadn't yet told the digimon the good news of how their apartment was finally repaired. This meant that within the week, Veemon would once again be living her her rather large closet and not in the forest. Meh...I'll tell him later....The teen was in no hurry to ruin the surprise, since she knew the digimon was likely to tackle her onto the ground with one of his hugs. Not only getting her dirty, but also ruining the ice cream she had brought. Though from listening to the dragon as he rambled on about his ventures within the woods, and how he was still taking care of a certain other digimon, she wondered if it would be best just to let him remain here? It was safer, providing much more room to hide and a lot more space than a closet. Yet, she would still be somewhat restricted in her time spent with him. Already she was pushing her chances by being out so late. So perhaps, maybe keeping her in her room was just what was best for her. "Hey Veemon....I have a question..."The blue digimon looked up towards the girl, the ice cream bar stick hanging out from his mouth as he blinked at her. He had just finished devouring the remainder of his treat, feeling rather cold in the head. But then again, it wasn't the first time he ate the frozen treat so the pain was minor than usual. Still, the serious tone of his tamer caught his attention, even making him worry that something was up. Either way, the girl had his ears and he would listen to what she had to say. "Whats up?""How exactly do you like the forest?""Its ok...Lots of trees, room, miss the manga stash you had though?"Brittany smirked as she heard his last comment, knowing full well that she had a digimon that enjoyed his anime. It was possibly that he knew more about the digimon series than she ever did when she was into the shows and comics. But that wasn't what she was trying to hear from him. Because it seemed in all accounts that the digimon was very comfortable in the woods, which meant there was no reason to take him home. Yet, she didn't want to just leave him without the option. But just as she was about to tell him, something red moved through the bushes at rapid speed, causing her to cut herself off in mid-sentence. "What in the..."Before long something else came running through, this time calling out the name,"Guilmon", before disappearing further into the forest. Though it didn't take long for both Brittany and Veemon to run after the two figures, pushing past bushes and branches before finding a place nearby to see two tamers and two digimon facing one another. It was defiantly a sight to see. Both teens seemed to have digimon of the same type, only different colors. They also seemed one was more vicious looking than the other, which really gave off the feel of a good twin/evil twin theme. Either way, Brittany remained behind a tree, while Veemon just peeked from over the top of a bush. "What the heck are they doing?""Maybe a family reunion? They do look like two lost brothers of some kind?""Which ones? The tamers of the digimon?""I don't know...both?"

★ AKIRA ★ I want to live in fire, with all the taste I desire.You lose your routine, 'cause I found my path.- - - - - - - - - - - - The words that his partner spoke sent both chills down his spine and a smile crawling across his lips, transforming from its previous smirk. It had indeed been awhile, a few weeks at least that this was in the making, and both tamer and Digimon were anxious for it to happen. Of course, they didn't have the highest hopes of winning, not this time at least... but that wasn't the point of the mission, now was it? Besides, if he lost, he could plant false hope into the heart of the fourteen year old he was supposed to meet. That thought alone sent a dark shiver through him as his smile turned wicked. Indeed, what better way of beating someone down later. At this, part of him was tempted to lose on purpose.
Drawn into his thoughts, he missed the fact that Blackguilmon before him had started to behave oddly, his maw raised to the wind, sniffing, his entire being rigged and alert. It wasn't until the voice, dark and serious, drifted past his ears, drawing him back. "Akira... I smell something... and someone. They're heading this way." His ears, or if you could call them that, twitched, his eyes focused on the bushes behind the white haired man as they began to move, something coming fourth from them. That something, being exactly what they were hoping for.
Turning to face the newcomer, not surprised to find a digimon, Akira nearly purred. The being before him was an exact mirror image of his own partner, albeit the reversed colors - it was exactly what he was hoping for. Although, he had to admit, them finding him and his partner was the last thing he expected, but he wasn't about to complain. After all, it saved him so much trouble. An almost sadistic twist crawled through his being at that moment, opening his mouth to speak, but was cut off, not by words, but by the presence of another - the tamer of the Digimon that stood before them in obvious awe. He didn't need to look at their expressions to see such a feeling, no, it practically screamed at him, flaring through their aura, and it made him laugh lightly. "Now what way is that to greet someone, hm?" He asked almost coldly, a hint of amusement in his tone as he ignored the other boy's question for the moment.
Now, he had two options here. One, he could jump straight to business or two, he could play with him a little. Option two seemed like so much more fun. With his mind made up, he then addressed the question, yet, as he was sure, not how the boy wanted it to be, "Now now, that's something for me to know, and you to, perhaps. find out later on. It should be no worry to you, now should it? Besides, as we can both see, they are quite different. So no worries, young one, your friend is quite safe... for now." Ok, maybe that was a little too sadistic and dark, and even a little out of Akira's normal behavior, but hell was he having fun with this.
Though, much to his displeasure, not only with being interrupted, but with being joined by another, two more appeared in the clearing - Digimon and Human. This fact alone made Akira groan outwardly. What the hell was this place, a freaken' magnet for Digimon? How often would three tamers bump into each other, on the same night... in the same area. DESOLATED area, no less. I suppose that's just my horrible luck, now isn't it? His mind hissed as he sighed. "These two are far from siblings." Blackguilmon offered, easily hearing the conversation between the two. "Though, the Dino over and myself may be something a bit closer." He offered, dropping some sort of clue to Takato and Guilmon. "Now there's no reason to hide, right?"
Although this annoyed Akira a little, after mulling it over a bit, he found it to be more beneficial to his game. It left them with no real answer, and would make their minds reel even more than they already were, if anything. Perfect... With that thought come and gone, he finally cleared his throat, speaking with a gesture of 'I don't know' to the others, "Now, enlighten me a little, if you will. What brings two, lovely faces out here so late at night?" He hummed, all but amused.
[By the way, Brittany lD Akira is 21, he's not a teen.]

+:: TAKATO :: +
+++++ Takato was vaguely confused by the the man's initial statement. He'd just asked a question. Sure he had been surprised by his digimon and he could have said hi, but he didn't see what was so harsh about it that he had to call him out like that. What disturbed Takato more though, was just his tone. It was cold. Creepy cold. Digimon Emporer-esque cold. Just who was this guy? It only took an instant for Takato to find he really didn't like this guy. Then the guy finally responded to his question, only to Takato's disappointment and further disturbance by his demeanor and use of clichés, deny him an answer. As if the guy hadn't disturbed him enough, he tacked on a threat to his response. Well, if it wasn't clear this guy was trouble earlier, it most certainly was now. "Okay, it was just question. Sorry for being curious, you don't need to bite my head off." Takato remarked defensively. Takato shifted his attention over to a new comer. A girl around his age. He himself didn't think it was much of a surprise. A new digimon popping up did seem to attract a lot of attention from other digimon, and didn't seem to have much of a problem detecting one another. The BlackGuilmon denied the Veemon's suggestion that he and the opposing male were siblings, but seemed to suggest that there was at least some relation between himself and Guilmon. Guilmon merely looked at the BlackGuilmon with a quizzical expression, unsure of what was to happen here, or what the BlackGuilmon was suggesting. "Ooh, are we brothers?" Guilmon asked curiously, taking a step forward, and sniffing at his black counterpart. "Guilmon, back off." Takato ordered when he noticed his partner approaching the duo. He then turned on the man again, who has asked him and the girl why they were here. Well, that was annoying. Doesn't answer his question, but seems to expect him to answer his question. "How about that's for me to know and you to find out." Takato mocked, though much less amused than this strange man. "And since you aren't interested in answering my questions and vice-versa, I think we're done here. Come on Guilmon." He said, backing off. If this guy wanted to act all creepy, he was welcome to it, but Takato had better things to do than listen to this creep's psychotic rambling.[/blockquote]

"Never was One For Listening" There was certainly a feeling of tension in the air, though either tamer seemed to want to answer each other clearly. What she found strange was the fact that the one with the Blk.Guilmon, seemed much older. If she was making a wager, it would have to be at least near the age of someone in college. Though she didn't have to guess for too long, as one of the digimon was quick to respond to their quiet diagnostic of the situation, giving little to no reason to remain in hiding. "Oh...Well...Um...""Yea...We..were...just...um..."Both Veemon and Brittany looked at one another, than back towards the other two teams as they rubbed the back of their heads at the same time. So much for just trying to observe and get some information on what was going on. It appeared that they were somewhat apart of this encounter now. Though it seemed rather short lived as the boy that looked to be around her age didn't seem interested in playing whatever game the other guy was into. Though she couldn't blame him. If it had been her in his place, she'd have started to walk off by now. Yet, she was somewhat confused on what the big deal was? ((My mistake XD))

★ AKIRA ★ I want to live in fire, with all the taste I desire.You lose your routine, 'cause I found my path.- - - - - - - - - - - -
Ok, now this was definitely something that Akira wasn't in the mood to deal with, especially on a business run. He was going to run? How... boring. With a huff as the younger boy turned around, Akira's mind raced for an idea that could pull the boy back into the situation, as he really didn't want to chase the boy. Though, of course, Blackguilmon was a step ahead of Akira, and slowly took the male's side, looking up at him with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I could torch them, you know."
At the suggestion, Akira seemed to think about it momentarily before shaking his head, "That's not a good idea, I want to hold off on a fight as long as we can. But, there is something else you can do. Distract the Digimon, and the partner will follow. Do your best." With the command given, Blackguilmon sighed and nodded, turning to face Takato and his other half. Parting his maw, the digimon began to walk forward, head tilted as if he were curious - but Akira knew better.
"Are you going to turn your back on family, Guilmon?" He asked, his tone almost taunting. "We are close enough to be brothers, don't you want to bond with me?" Eugh, the words he spoke were enough to make Blackguilmon gag, but he did his best to hold it in to mock his counterparts innocence. Seeing his partners actions made Akira smile, perfect. Now that the digimon was taken care of, there was the matter of drawing Takato's attention back fully as well.
He had one idea. "So, Takato... It's answers you want? Hm?" He spoke while looking off to the side idly, completing the 'innocent' look between tamer and Digimon as Blackguilmon stood before his tamer, his forced look that of an curious kitten. "How about I start with the big one I can practically see buzzing through your mind. I am Akira, and, much the opposite to your current thoughts of the situation - I'm really quite harmless." Alright, that may have been a bit of a lie, but for the time being, he simply wanted to prevent the boy from running and dragging the possible situation out to somewhere more open, which would only spell danger.
Now, there weren't just two beings here, but three. And with that thought, Aki turned to face the female once more with a light smile. "No matter why you're here, the more the merrier, hm?" He corrected himself from earlier feelings. It was no matter, these two wouldn't be any trouble to his plans. If he had to fight them too, he would fight - but what reason would she have to fight with Takato? From the looks of it, they didn't know each other. That would be a question for later times when occurrences would arise.
[Forced post is forced. Would someone be so kind to move Akira's profile back? Thank you.]

+:: TAKATO :: +
+++++ Guilmon slowed in his step when the BlackGuilmon spoke again. He may have been before, but the stranger was underestimating his loyalty to Takato, and tendency to follow his tamer's mind set, and he was beginning to pick up on his tamer's disturbance with the tamer and his partner. "Takato's family is my family, and Takato wants to go, so I have to go with him." Guilmon responded, still slowly stepping in the direction Takato was going. Takato stopped when Guilmon wasn't keeping up, about to tell him to go again, when the man started talking to him again, despite him clearly stating that he wasn't interested in this conversation. Okay, guy's name was Akira. He didn't quite care about him saying he was harmless, because he didn't believe a word of it. His cryptic and condescending disposition hardly made him appear of benign intent and him dragging on the discussion even after he attempted to leave only made him appear worse. Takato sighed and stopped, staring at the man. "I wouldn't say it was buzzing through my mind, but okay. I better be going now though. Way past curfew you know, heh." He responded, scratching his head. His name was of no use and it was pretty clear Akira wasn't going to give him any useful information, so he still had no reason to stay, and every reason to go before things got bad. However, how to get rid of him... Or at least provoke him to hurry this up? Takato locked eyes with the girl, and an idea formed in his mind. Akira seemed to like to talk, and the best way to cure that was by simply ignoring him, and hopefully he'd go away. Though he still kept his attention on Akira and BlackGuilmon, he approached Brittany, and shielded his lips from Akira's view as he whispered to her. "What do you make of this guy? Any idea's on how to ditch him?"Meanwhile, Guilmon had kept at his trainers side as he moved across the area, and once they reached they reached other girl and her partner, Guilmon sniffed curiously at Veemon. "Hi, I'm Guilmon. Who are you?" He asked curiously. His gaze however, kept shifting back and forth from Akira and his partner. Guilmon knew this was far from over yet, and he'd be ready to help Takato if they turned out to be bad. [/blockquote]

"Never was One For Listening" When Aki turned his attention towards her, Brittany gulped quickly before nodding her head in response. She wasn't sure what it was, but she didn't get a good vibe off this guy. There was just something about him that screamed possible danger. But then, she wasn't too sure about the other guy either, but at least he looked less intimidating than the man standing before them with the black lizard. But with all those thoughts to the side, she wished that they had just stayed near the park. As Takato appeared to be leaving, he approached their position and whispered to her about what her thoughts were on this guy and how to lose him? Honestly, she hadn't slightest clue on what to do here. There wasn't any way they could leave without making some kind of insult, at least not for Takato anyway. Akira seemed to want to talk to him, about what was really anyone guess. But since her opinion was answered, she simply shielded her lips with her hand as she placed her gaze towards the Takato and then back at Akira. "You mean other than the sinister vibe? I can't really say...looks like he just wants to talk to you. But if you really intent on losing him, you could make a dash for the woods. There's a old shrine not too far from here..."It wasn't the best plan, but it was better than anything else that came to mind. After all, she wasn't sure what was really on this guy's mind. While the tamers talked, Veemon eyed Guilmon with a blank expression, unsure of how to react to the unknown digimon. Truthfully, he had never seen it's kind before. Unique was truly the word for this creature. Though when it stated its name, it caught him completely off guard. Guilmon, as in the same one that was rumored all through out the digital world? Stories of a digimon of a special breed that roamed the world were all over before he had landed here. But he never thought he'd actually see him. This night was just full of surprises. Smiling, he extended his hand with a cheesy grin. "Names Veemon...How ya doing?"
