A Legacy is something that is taken, not created. There was no nothing more complete than surrounding oneself within a room full of nothing but possibilities. Each completely shelved alphabetically by it's founder that was responsible for dictating it's story. There would never be a better form of communication than that of words, and the library was the perfect sanctuary to achieve this surrounding.
Therefore, sitting upon a desk, as the younger one rampaged around to calm his thrust for fun, a book was properly held in front of Steven's face. Each line was read thoroughly with a strong understand and a strict dedication to the book rather than having his thoughts wander as he read. As the final line was read, a calm smirk appeared on his face in fascination to the ending. Without much movement he closed the book and stood from the desk. Walking over to a shelf he returned the book then walked to the computer catalog to search for another work.
While typing in search, the brightness of the computer slowly began to increase. Within seconds it was illuminated so much that Steven paused and shielded his eyes. An exposed expression questioning the situation escaped his mouth but before he could complete it everything was gone. The whole situation had come and gone faster than a shooting star. It left Steven perplexed and in shock of what had occurred. Looking behind him he saw his younger brother still walking around and playing as if nothing had happened. It truly made him question if anything had occurred.
Turning back to the computer, Steven reached for the mouse to find that it wasn't there anymore. Instead the tool was replaced with some small PDA or electronically device. Picking it up from curiosity, Steven studied the device before him. With a firm grip on it, he looked at the screen. Instantly, a blue color took over the screen. A holographic image popped out. Analyzing the picture was simple because it was just an egg as the image. However, the egg was open at the top almost as if it had hatched. Once blinking for a few seconds, a map replaced the egg image. Someone, or something, appeared to want him to go to that location.
"Christian!" Steven yelled despite the Library rules. "We're leaving."
"Finally," an excitedly young boy yelled as he ran to join his older sibling. In a matter of moments, the two boys would depart back to their "home". Once coming up to that building, Steven looked to his brother as he kept an extra hand on the device that was in his pocket.
"I've got to do something that may take a while," he started. "I want you to stay here with Ms. Sayol until I get back. Then we can work on your homework."
"Why can't I come?" the young boy questioned. Steven could only crack a smile to the youngster before rubbing the boy's head and turning back forward. Allowing the boy into the building, and explaining an excuse lie to Ms. Sayol, Steven departed the building and pulled out the device. Once again, when fully in his grip the holographic image projected the hatched egg. The mere seconds that passed by felt like hours as Steven awaited for the map to appear. When it did, Steven sprinted towards the direction. If this was a trick by his father he would find out everything and end it there. He wasn't going to succeed in his fantasized dreams to ruin his and Christian's lives. The anger stored for the one man quickly built within seconds and his speed increased, as did his heart rate.
Without a second thought, Steven ran through the forest as the map commanded. Despite the time of day, he followed the pathway religiously not slowing from his speed for a second. After he entered the forest, the device began to beep at a pulse. The arrow also began to get bigger the closer he got. With the anticipation, of what he was running to, questions of what exactly he was going towards crept into his mind. Before getting too close, he drastically slowed down his pace and thought to himself. As much as he wanted to think of the possibilities he couldn't. There was no previous knowledge to think about. He was literally walking over water right now waiting to fall in.
Then the beeping stopped and the arrow disappeared. The screen returned to it's blue coloring and the cracked egg revealed itself once more. Steven stopped in his tracks and the change. Creeping forward he looked around to see where his journey had led him. Now taking notice to the surrounding he realized that he was surrounded by a light fog that appeared random since the evening light was could still be seen.
Suddenly a laugh was heard which forced Steven to look up to see the explanation for the sound. With a thud on the ground, Steven froze in shock to see a...bird with clothes? Separating himself from the creature he tried to think of what the world was before him.
"Well geez," the digimon said. "Don't you know how to say hi to your partner?"
"Part...ner?" Steven quickly questioned.
"Yeah! I'm Falcomon. You have the digivice so you must be my partner. It's great to meet you."
"I-I don't understand." Falcomon sighed and took a second to explain his story stating that he came from a "Digital World" and traveled to come to a "partner" that he had to help. He talked about about the "Digivice" that was in Steven's grip and even handed him three cards that went with them. Looking at the cards they were the exact cards that were given out for the Trading Card Game. He began to wonder if they were similar in any way. But the main question was who knew that Steven needed help with something. Was this...Digimon here to help him against his father? The possibilities were without a doubt endless.
"Well...," started Steven. "What can you do?" The question was asked harshly with a certain thirst that wasn't explainable. All he could imagine was the pain he could inflict. As the Digimon explained his story he was reminded of the D-Reaper and stories of beast fighting against it. The bird could fight and possibly become something stronger than the D-Reaper. Only time would tell...

So another pairing had been crafted before his eyes. It never got old did it? The tamer finding the digimon and then the duo walking off together in an attempt to make their mark in this human world as a team. It was sickening, but only because he was still without a human to call his own. Just what did the bird have that he didn't? His intelligence was much higher, and he found himself to much more capable of the job. I can do it.....and I will have a human companion. Even if I have to take one for my own...From out the trees a ruffling of feathers could be heard, yet then followed by a light thump as two talon landed upon the ground near to them. Its red and white appearance, followed by the one feather that stood upon the top of its head made the digimon's presence all the more noticeable. If this was not enough, then prehaps his statement towards the pair would get their attention. After all, the creature had not made himself known for nothing. "Bravo..Bravo....I must say that I didn't expect to see another bird within these parts. But sadly old boy, I going to have to ask you to step away from the human...."Hawkmon crossed his wings over his chest, holding a stern expression as he waited for a response.

A Legacy is something that is taken, not created. "Well...," Falcomon said while folding his dark colored feathers across his chest. "It depends on your definition of 'do'. There's plenty of things I can 'do', talking being one of the obvious ones." With that the bird digimon cracked into a small laughter that Steven could only stare at. He was still envisioning. Everything the digimon said didn't matter. With bold eyes he starred down at the digivice in his hand and wondered if this was real. Why was he given this opportunity? Anyone in the heavens would know that Steven with a digimon could spell destruction, yet...here Falcomon was. It was mystifying and confusing.
Pushing himself up off the ground, he brushed the debris that gathered on his clothing. Looking down at the digimon, he gave the bird a cold stare. Falcomon only returned the glare with a devious smirk. The digimon was apparently trained in playing this little game of dominance. This fascination was rewarded with a half-smile from Steven.
"So this isn't a joke," Steven said. "You're really one of those...Digimon that was here when that D-Reaper thing was here?" Falcomon appeared to feel a boost of energy being compared to such a threat. Seeing this, Steven questioned what exactly was going on but decided to play along. Apparently the bird enjoyed games.
"Yes I am a Digimon," Falcomon simply replied. His owl-like face finally took form as he hid any preference of emotion with the statement. The only thing that could be read were his eyes, but they were stained with a coloring that mad his stare blank rather than informative. It was as if he were book; an introduction from the first chapter. Typically there was a partnership or and awkward alliance that proved to be fruitful. Gripping the digivice, Steven laughed to himself, still in disbelief for what was happening. It all had to be a joke. His luck was not this great. Before him was the beginning of the end. A portal to an alternative future he could create. What was to stop him from simply destroying his father's plans? Why not everyone else that lived in this world with no feeling of pain or fear? Falcomon looked upon Steven as he went through his mindset and appeared to sense what the boy was thinking. Was this connection meant to be?
Then, suddenly a rustle in the leaves could be heard but only Falcomon turned to see the cause. The situation came to Steven's attention as he noticed the bird digimon was looking at something else. His eye's twitched a bit as he looked to see that another digimon was present also. This one was more...friendlier in it's look. As it talked, Steven turned towards Falcomon to wait for a response. There was a confidence about him that Steven couldn't deny he liked.
"Please Hawkmon," Falcomon replied. "Don't let your jealousy have you make a wrong choice. The human is obviously my partner. Now step aside before we show you our power." With that Falcomon broke his wings apart releasing a small wave of wind towards the enemy. Feeling a pulse come from the digivice, Steven pulled up the device to see. A hologram vision had exposed itself again however this detailed information about the digimon in front of him.
Species: Hawkmon Level: Rookie Type: Bird Digimon/Data
Looking at the sight of things, Steven knew what was coming. A new confidence came over him, almost to a cocky level. "If Hawkmon wants to confront us let him. I need some practice." Cracking his knuckles, Steven stood proud of his new partner."In fact...let's go first. Falcomon Go!" Instantly, the bird digimon blitzed towards Hawkmon with his wings exposed. Once close enough to digimon he would attempt to use his Scratch Smash attack to slash the opponent. Steven would observe Falcomon's fighting style and see if he was worth being a tamer to.

Hawkmon raised its eye brow for a moment, almost as if he were confused by the comment. So what if it was true, his jealousy was justified. Why did this digimon deserve a tamer when he had been here longer than most? There just seemed to be no explaination for it, and he would take this opportunity. What more did he have to lose at this point? The bird had no method of going back to the digital world, so being with a human seemed his only option.
Flying backwards, the red feathered bird barely avoided the swirling blast of wind that was as sharp as a dagger. Then, while moving back, he could see the digimon charging in with another attack at the ready. It seemed that a fight was indeed where this was headed, so why try and avoid it? Smiling as he reeled one wing back, Hawkmon countered the attack with his own talon, bringing it forwards to collided into that of Falcomon.
"You are indeed fast....But don't think that you will get the drop on me..."

"We havent been here in a long time, havent we, Lala?" Hanako would proceed to ask her digimon, Lalamon. The small pink and green digimon would nod her head. "The last time we came here was when..." Hanako felt a wave of emotion cloud over her as she let one hand move to a scar on her head. "Hana-chan..." Lala said laying a comforting 'hand' on her tamer's head. Her sensors began to go off, spinning like a helicopter. "Two digimon sensed approximatly -insertnumberandmeasurementhere-!" Lala began moving forward with Hanako right on her tail even though she didn't have one. Hanako stopped behind some trees with Lala behind another. Pulling out her digivice the information began to detail for each one;
Falcomon Rookie VaccineHawkmon Rookie Data
Hanako watched as the data went off and put her digivice away. She would help, but she wanted to see if this teen even had what it took to be a tamer. While she wasn't one of the first tamers, she was one of the first that had been made a tamer after the D-Reaper incident. Blue eyes would continue to watch this battle with a curiousity of not only a child, but of a tamer. [/color]

Blitzing towards the Digimon, Falcomon say the Bird Digimon raise his foot as a response. Quickly he swung his wing to collide with the Hawkmon's raised Talon. Pushing back on the Digimon's pressure, Falcomon tried to knock the Digimon off balance but had no such luck doing so. Instead, he stretched out his wings jumping back and moving to the skies. Steven on the other hand only watched. Falcomon appeared to be weaker than the other digimon, and thus he was unimpressed so far. Everything he envisioned couldn't be complete if Falcomon's power wasn't up to par. Looking at his Digivice and cards in his hand, he tried to summarize a battle plan within his head to help out his partner. They must have been partners for a reason.
"Falcomon!" Steven called out. "Memorize the surrounding quickly." With a small nod, Falcomon's owl-like eyes scanned the field, taking note of each tree's position, wind direction, and of course his opponent's location. Holding the digivice before him, Steven whipped out one of the Gold cards and slashed the card through the scanner. The screen instantly turned white and the field began to fog around the zone. "Activate! Dense Fog!" Within seconds everything would be difficult to see, even more so that the light fog that was present before. Soaring through the skies, Falcomon consistently moved around the field taking advantage of the area change.
"Ninja Blade!" the bird Digimon called out instantly as he caught quick sight of his opponent. Waving his wings out, digital shurikens appeared and flew towards Hawkmon. Unsure if they would do damage, Birdmon continued to move around in a circular pattern and threw even more shurikens towards the opponent. Finishing off, he jumped to the skies and swung his body down to flip his body. He legs came over and down on top of the shadow he hoped to be Hawkmon.
Steven continued to just watch. His vision also had severely been ruined by his card's activation, but he listened for every motion. He had read books about blind heroes that utilized motion and hearing to get their way through. So far, Falcomon seemed to be inheriting that trait very well, but then again he couldn't see what was precisely taking place. He wouldn't lie and say he had faith in his Digimon. In fact, he wouldn't agree to such a degree of trust between them for a while. But he did have some hope for the Digimon to be successful. However, his reasons were more selfish than most would anticipate.
"Don't toy around!" Steven yelled out bluntly. Remembering the time and that he left Christian at the Orphanage he couldn't waste too much time here. The Hawkmon didn't look too difficult of a fight, but then again he was an amateur to this game. Dense Fog: 4 post (Added: Card Durations)

The palmon didn't know how much time passed since she raw away from the Hitoehi sister's home, maybe just hours, maybe several days, but for her it's been like an eternity. Life in the forest wasn't really hard, but the feeling of loneliness was terrible and even the most bright day was nothing if she had nobody to share the joys of life with.
She continued wandering aimlessly through the forest looking for flowers to help with the pollination process and that way distract her a little when she felt in the air a familiar scent, a soft and sweet one that brought fond memories of a special somebody she met in the past, it was clear that it was Lalamon's scent. Not many digimon knows it, but all the floral digimon have their own unique and characteristic smell that helped them to distinguish one from the other, the palmon's scent was one sweet that eased the body and mind while the lalamon's one was squally sweet and induced a slight feeling of joy.
"Lalamon, she must've come to visit me!"
The joy brought from the possibility of seeing her friend again blinded her senses and she didn't bother to pay attention neither to the fog that was created in the area nor the noise of battle, she even ignored some human that happened to be near and whom she passed by dangerously close as she ran at a speed unusual in palmons that would make everybody think she under the influence of a speed card.
"Lala-chan, Hana-chan, I've missed you sooo much!"
And it finally happened, guided only by her sense of smell and lalamon's characteristic scent she traversed through the thick fog and the battlefield only to see her dear friends. She spoke so loudly and passed so close to the other human that if her friends were trying to be stealthy, the palmon completely ruined their efforts as she simply couldn't hide her happiness for seeing again those precious friends that she hardly knew but that she felt like they were long time friends bounded by their love for flowers

It had been quite a good day for the imp. Mako and Ai's parents had taken them to Yosuba Land earlier, and he had tagged along. Sure, he missed out on the rides, but both his tamers didn't hesitate to share their cotton candy and other snacks whenever they got the chance. Who knew a giant blue cotton ball tasted so good? The imp was in a great mood today. Now he was out in the forest as he often was. He thought he'd finish off this day by tackling whatever digimon he could find emerging here.
It didn't take long before he detected a digimon nearby. A couple actually. Multiple opponents at a time might be a bit much for him all on his lonesome, but he saw no harm in at least checking things out. He jumped through the trees until two digimon and a human came into sight. A Falcomon, a Hawkmon, and a tamer that seemed to be partnered with one of the fighting digimon. He didn't have much of a chance to watch though, as the tamer used a dense fog modify card, and what might have been an amusing show, was now beyond his vision. "Well that is just wonderful." He remarked, quite annoyed that he couldn't at least watch the battle.
He nearly turned and left, but then noticed that there were more than just the two battling digimon and the human. Impmon looked down to see a young girl and her Lalamon. He hopped down to a lower branch and looked at the two. "Hey, down there. What have I missed here?" He asked, shifting his gaze to look into the fog. Unfortunately he could see nothing of what was happening.

((I so greatly apologize!))
The quick change in surrounding had indeed tripped the digimon up. He had not believed that the boy would actually play something such as this, not to mention have enough trust to think that his new friend would be able to adjust so quickly to it. But that indeed seemed to be the case, as the ninja like strike managed to surprise him. Covering himself with his wings, he attempted to bat off the assault as best he could. But as the Falcomon flew down towards him, the red feathered bird jumped out of the way, attempting to move through the fog as a means to find cover.
I...I had not suspected something like this....Its...impossible...
Moving slowly as he could feel his body starting to fail, his image seemed to blur in and out of focus, almost like a television on the fritz. Was his time in this world almost over?
