At the current time, Impmon was relaxing on a low branch of a tree, pretty much just enjoying some peace and quiet for a moment. Mako and Ai were on a field trip with their classmates, and Impmon was a bit of a ways away from them, but he was there keeping an eye out for any trouble that might be lurking within the trees.
"Impmon!" "Impmon down here!"
Impmon nearly fell off his branch in surprise when his name was called from below. Looking down, of course he saw Mako and Ai down there waving at him, and their classmates and teacher was no where to be seen. "Hey!" Impmon shouted, not too happy. He jumped down, standing before them. "Where's your class? You two know better than to wander off!" He scolded.
Instant guilt washed over the two young tamers. "We just wanted to see you.." Ai pouted. They didn't want to make Impmon mad! "We're sorry..." Mako added, looking just about as sorry as anyone could ever be.
Impmon sighed in exasperation, but let himself calm down. "I understand that, but you can't just wander off from your group like that, you could have gotten lost or something!" Both Mako and Ai hung their heads low. "Come on, you both are alright. I'll just take you back to your group." He said, and began to lead them back to where their classmates were last.

Amber had been adjusting well to living with her new partner. Together they spent the time patroling the forest and surrounding areas for traitor digimon to punish, and Dorumon had also been a great help in her own normal activities, most prominently scavenging food to eat, and he even had hunted a few rabbits for her. This was turning out to be an enjoyable partnership, and for the first time in all the time she could remember, she was truly happy.
They were out patrolling again. They spotted a bunch of young children wandering around, but other than that, there was little action so far. Just more trees and trees, until finally, something. "There's a digimon nearby." Dorumon growled, stalking off to the left. Ambermon followed him steadily, both of them choosing a hiding spot in some bushes to view their target.
It was an Impmon, and it seemed to be helping a pair of human children. Ambermon recalled seeing them among the other group of children they had spotted earlier. They must have ran off, and now this Impmon seemed to be taking them back. Odd that a virus type like him would go soft. No matter. He'd face his fate like the rest. "Lets deal with him."
Ambermon made to move forward, but Dorumon blocked her way with his tail. "Becautious. The girl has a digivice. She's probably his tamer." He warned, before moving forward. Dorumon let out a snarl as he approached the Impmon. "Helping humans? What a disgrace." Dorumon snarled viciously at the Impmon.

Impmon and his tamers hadn't gotten too far when a voice spoke out behind them. The trio looked back to see a Dorumon, followed by a teenage girl wearing... cat ears? That was bizarre. As if he cared what other people wore though, unless it provided a good opportunity for a laugh, but Impmon wasn't quite in the mood for that.
Helping humans? Disgrace? What was he getting at? Wasn't that a human with him? Maybe she was a prisoner of his? No, she didn't look like she was there against her will. So what was this guy's beef? "Both of you go on ahead. I'll deal with this guy. Now." Impmon whispered to his tamers. Mako and Ai at first hesitated, before nodding and running off where they had come from.
Impmon turned back to the Dorumon, giving him one last skeptical look before finally responding. "Disgrace? What the heck are you talking about?"

The Dorumon snorted as the Impmon began whispering with the two humans, who took off shortly afterward. Of course, can't risk his precious little power sources. They weren't even going after human targets yet however, so it didn't really matter to them, it was just a plain example of the Impmon's weakness.
When the Impmon finally responded, Dorumon could only roll his eyes. "Humans attack digimon. Attack everything. They are creatures of destruction, creatures who's existence spells doom for our own! You. You and all those who support humans are traitors to your own race! " He snarled viciously, head shifting back and forth sharply as he waited for the opportunity to attack.

Impmon raised a brow. Okay, so this digimon had a messed up view of humans and he hated them and all digimon who befriended them for it. That didn't explain why he apparently had a tamer. "Okay, yeah, not all humans are good and all, but they aren't all out to destroy everything they lay eyes on. Yeesh!" Impmon remarked.
He still continued shifting his gaze back and forth between the Dorumon and human. "If you hate humans so much, why do you even have a tamer? You seem to be quite the hypocrite right now." Impmon responded, smirking while waving his finger back and forth in the condescending manner of a parent telling off their child for being bad.

Dorumon spat at the Impmon's defence of the humans. "Even those who don't attack us directly are just as bad for letting it happen! They might not attack us themselves, but they still allow those that do attack us to do so!" He growled. Amber glared with equal distaste toward the Impmon's words. This creature was ignorant and foolish. "Humans may pretend to care, but they still do nothing to show it. They still allow their kind to continue to destroy this planet and overtake it with needlessly oversized shelters and paving over lands with roads on which they slaughter helpless creatures without even noticing. They do nothing to stop it because they are too selfish to give up the comforts they'd lose for it."
Amber was even less impressed by the Impmon's second remark, and for it almost wanted to throw something at him. "I am not a tamer. I am Dorumon's partner, and Dorumon is my partner -- we stand as equals. They call themselves tamers to give themselves superiority over their digimon. Digimon are nothing but pets or fighting machines to humans, and digimon like you go along with it just for the power they offer because they are too weak to work for their own strength!" Her partner nodded in agreement. "Ambermon isn't like the others. She doesn't feign ignorance to cling to comforts that cost the destruction of her world. She stands to fight against the evil of humans. She doesn't even deserve to be associated with humans."
Both Dorumon and Amber were quickly getting tired of this discussion. This Impmon would never listen. He'd do nothing but deny, deny, deny, for the sake of justifying his support of humans. "Enough. Its time you pay for your crimes against digimon! Metal Cannon!" Dorumon barked, firing several metal spheres at the Impmon

Impmon scratched his head. He couldn't believe anyone would hold such hatred for their own species. No matter what she said, she was still a human, but it seemed both of them wanted to play her off as the one single exception. "So everyone's a horrible waste of breath but you. Yeah, wonderful. As much as I'd love to point out how wrong you are, I got better things to do."
Impmon then made to flee, having felt he gave his partners enough time to at least get some distance between them and this psycho child and her digimon. However, the Dorumon obviously wasn't about to let him walk off, and Impmon ended up getting smacked by it's metal cannon attack. "Ouch! Oh, so you wanna play? I'll show you how its done!." Impmon spun around, and launched a fireball at the Dorumon. "Ba boom!"

Dorumon's attack landed on the Impmon, catching him by surprise while he attempted to flee. The Imp didn't try to run again, and was now throwing fireballs at Dorumon. Dorumon backed off a bit as the fire ball scorched his nose, but it didn't take long for him to recover. Ambermon went through her deck for a moment. She had to have some sort of card in here that work against this digimon... Wizardmon's spell would be useless. It would just trap Dorumon and give the Impmon a chance to flee.
There was one card though. "Digimodify! Flood activate!" Amber said, swiping the card. Instantly, a wave of water crashed through the woods, flooding the area up to Amber's knees. She placed a hand on a nearby tree to steady herself, while Dorumon stood unsteadily with just his head above water. "What, don't like the water?" the Dorumon sneered. "Metal Cannon!" He added, sending another metal orb hurtling toward impmon, which sent a spray of water up as it flew toward his opponent.
Name: Flood Duration: 3 Posts Color: Gold Effect: Causes the immediate area to be drenched by rain, not hard rain, but a shower that will wet the land and will cause all digimon with the Special Ability "Water" to increase one level equivalent for three posts. All Digimon with the Special Ability "Fire" will decrease one level in power for the three posts. After this card's duration, all traces of the card's use will disappear.

Ai and Mako had run quite aways before slowing to a stop, their short legs exhausted from the effort. The duo stood there catching their breath for a moment, before looking backward. "Where's Impmon?" Ai asked, worried. She recalled an older girl approaching them before Impmon told them to run. She had only seen her for a moment, but just in that moment, she seemed quite scary. Mako frowned, looking back too. "That weird lady is probably holding him up. Impmon's strong, I doubt she'd give him trouble." He said, a bit more confidently. Impmon battled tons of digimon before, he doubted some strange girl would give him much trouble. "Check the digivice and see what's going on." Mako suggested. Ai nodded and pulled out her digivice. She clicked a few buttons until she was looking at what Impmon was viewing. To both of the siblings' surprise, Impmon appeared neck deep in water. Both of them instinctively looked back where they came, but no water was coming towards them. The screen flashed as Impmon was struck by an attack. That girl had a digimon? "Hey, what's she doing to Impmon? Why are they attacking him?" Mako complained, upset that another tamer was attacking their partner. "Does it matter? We should help him!" She said, pulling out her cards. She looked through them, wondering which one to use. Impmon was shoulder deep in the water, so Ai figured it would do Impmon better if he was bigger. Her digivolution card would do the trick. "Digimodify, Digivice activate!" Ai said, swiping the card. Meanwhile, Impmon had been taken by surprise with the flood card, nearly getting swept off his sweet. He flailed momentarily before managing to get his feet on the ground again. Motion wasn't the greatest concern right now though -- Dorumon clearly had it even worse off than him, being a bit shorter and clearly putting effort into keeping his head above water. What was really concerning, was that the water was making him feel considerably weaker. Then the Dorumon fired another Metal Cannon attack at him, and though Impmon attempted to get out of the way, running in water wasn't an easy task and he ended up getting hit anyways. "Heh! Lucky shot... huh?" Impmon grumbled, adding the latter word when he noticed himself glowing, and was beginning to feel a lot stronger than before. "Impmon digivolve to... Devidramon!" He called out, as he grew into a large, shadowy dragon like creature. It wasn't Beelzemon, but right now he was feeling way better than he was as Impmon. "Well what do you think of this?" Devidramon sneered, looking down on the Dorumon and his tamer, who both were little more than mice to him now, and the flood that had once limited his movement harshly, was little more than a puddle. "Crimson claw!" He roared, swiping at the Dorumon with sharp red claws. Name: Digivice Duration: 5 Posts Color: Yellow Effect: If the digimon modified by this card is a "Virus" they may digivolve to Champion for the duration of this card.

[dice=6] Amber watched the Impmon be struck by Dorumon's metal cannon attack, helpless to dodge, and its power severely weakened. They definitely wouldn't be having much trouble now. At least, that was what she thought, before the Impmon suddenly digivolved. So he does have a tamer helping him... She thought. "Dorumon!" She called out, alarmed as the champion level digimon struck down her partner. Dorumon yelped as the claws struck, sending him flying into a tree. That... hurt badly. But he wasn't about to give up yet. "I'm fine. This piece of carrion's got nothing on me." Dorumon growled, glaring defiantly at the newly digivolved Devidramon. Ambermon searched her deck. She did have her randomizer card, and she didn't think her other cards would do her much good. "Digimodify! Randomizer activate!" She said, swiping the card. Then both her digivice and Dorumon began to glow, as the effect of the card Ultra Digivolve came into effect. Amber immediately swiped her Airdramon card, and they were now in business. "Dorumon digivolve to... Airdramon!" He called out as his body morphed into a large winged serpentine dragon. So now the playing field was fairly even now. Airdramon was still a bit exhausted from taking the Devidramon's attack earlier, but at least now he didn't have a strength advantage. "Wing cutter" He shouted, flapping his wings and sending two sharp blades of wind hurtling toward the Devidramon. Randomizer card became...Name: Ultra Digivolve Duration: 6 Posts Color: Gold Effect: This modification card digivolves a digimon to the next level, regardless of Digivolution Requirements.
