Shea was once again sitting at the Nihon library enjoying the peace and quiet of the place so she could read her newest book. Since coming to Japan this place had been the one most visited for Shea. She enjoyed spending time here away from everyday worries. Her younger brother often teased her about liking fiction better than reality but when reality had so little to offer fiction seemed like a much better idea.
The only downside to it was that she hadn't really made any friends since coming to this country. She wondered if it was because of all the time she spent reading then shook her head in denial. If she was going to make friends, it would be with others that would like her for who she was and not who she pretended to be.
Her mind settled, Shea went back to reading her book. It was a book filled with Japanese Myths and Legends and Shea found it absolutely fascinating.

"Hehehe, Magical research time!"
The magical girl everybody loves finally decided to examine the darkest secrets of the public library, seeking to find a tome of arcane magic that served to deal with the evils in the world and power up just like it always happens to magical girls, and with here there was her ever faithful companion Mir the moon magician, who is totally NOT a digimon but actually a magician of childish appearance.
"Please don't talk loudly in the library"
The lunamon had it easier than other digimon when it was concealing his identity, his mentally ill partner was really into the role of a "magician" and that made it easy to act like he was a a kid cosplaying as well. Besides, there was no rule that dictated weirdly dressed people couldn't enter in the library. Nevermind, they were in the library for a reason and that was to find some interesting literature, a mundane and rather innocent thing to do compared with the endless battle for survival between digimon but it was something nice to do during their free time as being stressed only made the lunamon commit severe mistakes and taking it easy once a while was good. Besides, "Mistral" would enjoy it and lately she was a bit less delusional.
The pair due their unusual appearance received the attention of some of the people inside the library, but that never escalated to something more troublesome and quietly they inspected a bookshelf that contained many books about Japanese mythology and traditional tales. As Mistral enjoyed more simple things, the lunamon picked one containing many tales like the one of Momotaro, the peach boy.
"This one looks nice, what do you think?"
"There's nothing more epic than reading about the heroic exploits of other heroes!"
And so, they sit next to a girl wearing glasses to give a quick peek at the acquired book, the atmosphere was one of calmness in the library and it was quite a change compared with the stressful life in the busy streets of the city.

Shea was almost immediately aware of the change of things in the library when two new people entered the building. One seemed like he was trying to keep him companion at a respectable level of noise and said companion seemed to want to do whatever she wanted to. It was more than slightly irritating but thankfully the girl found a book she liked and settled down quietly. The unfortunate thing was that she sat down right near where Shea was.
Determinedly she tried to ignore the pair but finally thinking about their entrance and the put upon expression of the person with the girl plus the niggling sensation the 'boy' was familiar somehow had Shea shaking her head and chuckling and the image the oddly paired duo made.

"And they lived happily ever after. THE END!"
The girl finished reading the only story she bothered to read and due her attention span was limited, she was already looking for something else to read. Her digimon partner couldn't help but sigh and tell her to remain silent, but the "magician" already had her eyes on her next target: that other girl sitting next to them, who seemed to be deeply involved in her reading.
"Hai, what are you reading!"
The inquisitive magician wannabe looked behind the girl and peeked at her book, it was about japanese myths and legends which Mistral believed to be real events that really happened and shaped the world into what it is now. As for the lunamon, he simply kept an eye on her refraining himself from participating into this silly situation. Being a digimon attempting to pass as a disguised human, it was in the best of his interests to avoid having too much contact with humans to avoid finding one that recognized him for what he truly is

Shea looked up at the person speaking to her and blinked at her sudden question. After a moment's consideration - mostly thinking rather ignoring this person would be wise or might make her worse - she shifted and turned her book over for the other girl to see. "I'm looking at Japanese myths and legends. I think they're really interesting and right now I'm reading the legend bout the Orochi no Orochi. I think it's a good story." Finally she offered a slight smile to both the girl and her friend. "Since you decided to speak with me, my name is Shea. Might I know the name of you and your friend?"
Her very unusual friend she might add. The boy was very odd but Shea couldn't quite place why she found him so. He just seemed like he didn't fit with the world around him; almost like he was from a completely different world or something. But that was impossible, wasn't it?
