A slim figure exited out the large doors of the Nihon Library with a new book in hand and a sense of accomplishment filling her. Shea had been waiting on a certain book to arrive for almost a month now and since it had she'd quickly come to the library to get it. On the way she'd found the most adorable white stuffed toy and she intended to bring it to her younger brother Setsu for his birthday. [because for whatever reason he liked the things even though he was a boy]
It had been a productive day too. She'd gotten all her homework finished and had even begun to pick up the language a lot better. She still missed home like crazy but things weren't that bad here in Japan. Carefully she put the stuffed animal in her backpack and pushed her glasses up her nose before continuing on her way.
Finally she came to a nice shaded spot located some ways behind the library and sat down underneath a tree to read her new book and decide from there how she was going to present Setsu with his new toy. It sort of looked like one of those creatures from that card game he was so fond of - though she couldn't think of the name just then as it really didn't interest her much.
The wind blew her gently and all seemed right with the world. Honey eyes scanned each page of her book carefully as she began to read and slowly but surely the rest of the world fell away into the world of fantasy that Shea enjoyed so very much. Nothing could ruin this day.

A digital field appears from nowhere, but it did not stay in existence for long as the creature inside of it quickly dispelled it. It was on a mission that could not be stalled by anything or anyone, so the expenditure of power was a small price to pay. It had entered the world through a Digital Gate that opened up on top of a building in the human world, which is where it saw a little girl putting something into a bag that looked like the object that was needed. As invisible as the wind, the Digimon followed the girl in order to remove the object from her possession. When the girl stopped to read a book, two plans formulated in the mind of the Digimon. One involved removing the witness and taking the object, which would not be a good thing for its master’s plans. The second one meant that a request for the item would need to be made, which already sounded unpleasant. In the end, the Digimon landed a few feet in front of the girl before letting out what would be called a warning shot of Storming Knives right above her head that impaled themselves into a tree. “Give me the false Digimon or that shall be your fate.” ********** Meanwhile, another Digital Field had formed that contained another powerful Digimon that was searching for the same object, but for a more noble reason. The being known as Wizardmon wanted to protect the power that the object held from those who would use it to rule both worlds. His first goal was to locate the seeker who had emerged from the Digital Gate before him. The only way to find the seeker was to sense the aura of it, which was not as hard as one would have thought because the Digimon who had been sent was already using its powers. As swiftly as possible, Wizardmon took to the sky in the direction that his abilities told him to go. He arrived in time to see the initial attack and hear Baromon’s statement. With an astounding show of grace, Wizardmon landed in between the two with his wand raised. “I think you will find that feat to be a difficult one to complete with me around.” ((OOC: If anything needs to be altered, just pm to let me know.))

Shea would never have noticed the other so near to her had knives not suddenly become embedded into the tree above her head. Releasing a girlish squeal of startled surprise Shea pressed flat against the tree and brought honey eyes up to the one that was attacking her. He wanted something from her....the toy! Well he wasn't going to get it! She'd searched long and hard for the thing and it was for Setsu. Besides why would this...whatever he was, want a stuffed toy anyway?
The toy was in her bag and the bag was next to her which she promptly grabbed and pulled closer to her body protectively. Normal people might have just given the toy and saved their hides but Shea felt that maybe keeping the thing might be more in her best interest. If she gave it and it wasn't what this....person...wanted then he might attack to do her harm and so she needed the bargaining too.
Stubbornly she held her head up to meet the gaze of the one attacking her. She refused to cower like some child! Instead she quickly got to her feet and held the bag even closer, her eyes lit with determination and stubborn refusal. Still, she'd answer the thing talking to her. "I don't think I'm going to give you anything, so just back off! I'm not afraid of you!" Which was only partially true - she wasn't afraid of him so much as she was afraid of what his knives could do to her.
Then suddenly there was someone else. He wasn't much shorter than she was and this one stood between Shea and her attacker. He seemed to want to help her, or at least he also thought what she had was very important. Shea didn't know rather to be relieved for his presence or unnerved. She didn't know where either stood - but at least this new one hadn't simply attacked her like the other. She didn't understand any of this, but someone in the back of her mind, all of this seemed very familiar...

The last thing that Baromon needed was an irritating child that refused to cooperate with the simple demands that were being asked of it. The object of power was in her possession, and he wasn’t going to let the simple fact that destroying a child would cause an interdimensional war between the human world and the Digital world to stop him. He was about to launch an attack on the girl when the arrogant Wizardmon showed up to save the day.
“So a baby magician thinks that he can stop the infamous Baromon? You have no idea what power you have to contend with Wizardmon.” The Digimon’s energy swirled around him as he began to ready the next wave of attack, and it really was going to be a wave. “But I think I shall show you what you have to worry about. Pyrokinesis!” The energy that it had gathered was sent into the ground and came up as a wave of lava on the warpath for Wizardmon and the girl. Baromon assumed that the object was well protected against being destroyed by the likes of him.
****’
“Do not worry young one. Baromon will not harm you as long as I still have power within me.” Wizardmon’s words were meant to be comforting, but he knew that the attack that was coming was one that was going to be very difficult for him to stop. Like his opponent, Wizardmon was gathering energy that he needed for a counterattack, which required a lot of focus. “If this is your power, then I don’t feel as bad for your enemies.”
His wand began to glow blue which was a good sign for both him and the child that he was protecting from Baromon as it meant that enough power had been gathered. “Thunder Blaster!” A wave of lighting burst from the end of his wand to match the oncoming lava. All he needed was for his attack to last longer than his opponent’s, so that he would have the edge when the time came for him to go on the offensive.

Baromon? Wizardmon? What sort of names were those? Strange and stranger was what this situation was becoming. At least now she was sure the one called Wizardmon wasn't trying to hurt her. Yet the one called Baromon was...It made no sense! And they seemed really familiar the more time she spent. At least she'd gotten to her feet even as Wizardmon stood in front of her to protect her. She had to admit it was a strange sensation to have a complete stranger being willing to protect her.
Then of course the two were talking, threatening one another, all over a stuffed animal! It made no sense! Yet Shea only clutched the bag containing her gift tighter as if to protect it. This was for Setsu, and there was little she wouldn't do for her little brother's smile. Then came the lava and it startled Shea enough to knock her off her feet with a startled yelp and a cry to Wizardmon. "Look out!"
She knew that probably she shouldn't be worried about him. After all he seemed to be holding his own against Baromon, but he was still in this situation because of her and it made her feel partly responsible. She didn't want him to get hurt because she was protecting a stuffed animal. If she didn't think this Baromon character would kill her after she gave him the doll, she'd just give him the darn thing if it meant he'd leave herself and her unexpected protector in peace.
