Since Kazu's parents were having their annual anniversary vacation from the house for a weekend, Hagurumon and him were doing some much and necessary target practice so that they would get a direct hit the next time that they saw LadyDevimon again. The ugly witch was not going to escape them the next time that they met. "Alright Hagurumon. Hit the targets with your gears." By targets, Kazu meant some of his old school projects and things that his dad asked him to get rid of. Of course, there hadn't been a specific method issued by his parents on how to get rid of them, so Kazu had decided to be extremely creative when it came to doing things.
Hagurumon's gears turned sideways and began to spin as two streams of data code came blasting out of them aimed at the targets. "Command Input!" The impact made the area smokey as some of the targets contained 'hazardous' materials. "How was that Kazu? Did I do good or bad?" The self-conscious collection of gears needed Kazu's reassurance about his performance.
"You get a ten out of ten for destructive power, but you missed the fiasco that we called dinner last night. That makes your final score a B, which is about the same as my last history test." Kazu liked to keep himself on an even playing field with his partner, and too much pride was never a good thing. He had learned that lesson from a couple of losses to Takato at the card game and what not.
Hagurumon sort of had a smile on his from Kazu's compliment. Sometimes, Kazu wondered if Hagurumon understood everything that he said when they talked to one another, but he shrugged it off just so long as Hagurumon was happy. They were compliments anyway, so it was all good in the end. "Well I only got two streams to shoot at them, so that means I am going to have to take multiple attacks in order to his all attacks. Right?"

While the atmosphere had been quite calm as Kazu and Hagurumon worked on their target practice, until a cloud of fog suddenly erupted into existence outside their yard. Within that cloud of fog, a large, fuzzy tarantula like digimon emerged into the human world. Eight green eyes glistened as the Dokugumon took in her surroundings. Grass... not too many trees, and a fence? Not quite her kind of place, but she would make do. Many digimon came here to become stronger, and she too would gain great power here, and squash every puny creature that got in her way!
However, her goals were not quite in reach yet, as there was this cloud of fog in her way that she was unable to escape. "Poison thread!" She spat, firing a thin burst of energy at the fog. The shot simply fizzled out when it met the edge of the barrier. This was frustrating to say the least. She had made it all the way to the human world, and she was trapped in a barrier of fog!

Hagurumon and Kazu were having a blast by blasting the unwanted waste of his parents house, but the floating collection of gears turned toward the fence. "Looks like we have trouble Kazu. Shall we prepare for combat?" He began to float over toward the Digital Field, and Kazu followed suit as this was going to be a lot more fun the 'Spring Cleaning'.
"Alright Hagurumon. It is time to make up for losing that devious LadyDevimon, so let's make sure that this one doesn't get away in one piece at least." He had been looking forward to a scrap all week, but no Digimon ever seemed to pop up near him until now. As they entered the field, Kazu fished out his D-Arc and some cards to begin the battle that would hopefully entertain him for a while. "So let's see what we got to work with this time, shall we? Hopefully it is something week."
His partner's eyes scanned the area in search of the Digimon that had accompanied it. All that came into view was an ugly spider that looked extremely disappointed with something. "Dokugumon. Champion level. Virus Type. Poison Thread is it's special attack, but from the looks of it this bug is only good for providing sewing materials."
"Then I guess we will make easy work of this eight legged seamstress. Darkness Gear!" Hagurumon flung a gear at the spider's head as fast as he could. It would be fun to mix it up with something that was not on the same level as it, but it wasn't like level had anything to do with who was the better Digimon.

The spider digimon paced around the field, pushing against the barrier. There had to be a way out! She didn't get all the way here to be confined to a small cage like someone's pet tarantula! She kept attacking at the barrier, until the sound of intruders caught her attention. A human and a Hagurumon. So they can get in, but I can't get out? Life was just being a bit unfair to the Dokugumon!
Of course the Hagurumon decided to attack her with a thrown gear. The attack hit her straight in the head, but the dokugumon hardly even flinched. As if a rookie would ever hope to be able to do much damage to her! "There's no use for scrap metal, but at least the human will make a decent meal." She said, looking rather bored at the two. "Poison thread!" She spat, aiming a poisonous thread from her mouth at the Hagurumon.

There were two things odd about the situation that Kazu and Hagurumon didn't like. One was the fact that no damage was done to the grotesque looking spider. Two, there was poisonous thread coming at them. It was definitely not the time for stupid moves or comments, but was that going to stop Kazu from making them? "Was that decent meal comment supposed to mean that you think I am fat?"
"I really don't think this is the most appropriate time for asking that type of question. Now move, Kazu." With that being said, Hagurumon shoved his partner out of the way of the attack and took the brunt of the attack. He was trapped under the deadly thread, which was probably draining the energy from the floating pack of gears. Definitely not the finest hour for the mechanized pair, but they were out of practice.
Kazu slapped himself in the head after recovering from the impact with the ground. How could he have thought that he was fat? Exercise was all he did with the amount of practice card battles that he did and how many times he had gotten up to go get food or answer the phone. The young tamer flipped a card out that would help his partner out of the situation. "I still think that this arachnid was making fun of my weight, but I think a good old fashion beat down will suffice. Digimodify! Teleport Activate."
The thread really was a pain for the mass of gears. It hurt him physically, and he was sure that it made him look like a screwed up puppet. Fortunately, one of these things was changed by his awesome partner. Hagurumon felt himself disappear and then reappear a foot outside of the threaded area. His gears began to spin in agitation at being that slow to react. "I think it is just angry that it is overweight. I propose removing a few of the legs to make it feel better. Command Input!!" Two streams of data shot out of the spinning gears at the arachnid's legs.
Name: Teleport Duration: 1 Post Color: Gold Effect: The Digimon who is modified by this card will teleport to a nearby location. This can be used to effectively avoid an attack.

Somehow her remark about the metal digimon not being much of a meal somehow translated to them as insulting their excessive weight. "Not exactly the brightest of insects, are you?" The spider digimon snorted, rolling her many eyes. If she was commenting on food, then, even if the metal one was edible, excessive weight would be the GOOD thing. A scrawny peace of prey was what made you go hungry.
Fortunately, her attack had landed a direct hit on the rookie digimon, the threads binding tightly around it's metal form, and given time, it would drain it's energy away. However, her satisfaction was turn to indignity when the Hagurumon teleported out of it's bonds. That was... very odd. She never knew any machine type digimon that was capable of teleporting like that. Such tricks were things magic oriented digimon used. No matter though. It still was only a rookie type. Dokugumon took the command input, with no significant damage done for the digimon's efforts.
"That all you got?" The spider sneered. She then suddenly jumped into the air, hurtling herself at the Hagurumon. They may have previously seen weight as a fault, but they would learn to think differently once she crushed the metal digimon under it. "Poison thread!" She shouted, spraying poison thread down as she fell towards Hagurumon.

Kazu was glad to see the attack hit, but was disappointed by the fact that it had done nothing to slow their opponent down. It was going to be a bit difficult to take down an opponent that could walk through a hit like it was a cloud of smoke. He needed a plan that would not waste all his good cards right away. Even with his partner being the best rookie for him, Kazu knew that he needed to do something to aid his little buddy in the fight they were in, which really meant that they needed to take it up a notch by employing his favorite card. "Get ready for some high stakes battling Hagurumon. Digimodify! Digivolution activate!!"
While Kazu was swiping the card, the spider was making its move on the batch of gears. "You have no idea just what we have got, but you are about to find out. Hagurumon digivolve to......" Hagurumon began emitting light as the change occurred, which sounded like his gears breaking up into millions of pieces to reform a much larger form. A sleek new body with actual arms and legs was left in his place. The most primitive version of what a human would call a battle suit was what an outsider would call the newly formed Digimon.
".....Guardromon!!!! Prepare to meet your programmer, you eight-legged buffoon. Warning Lasers." Guardromon's eyes glowed red before unleashing to meet the spray of thread that was coming his way while he flied straight toward the center of it. Both Kazu and his partner preferred this form as it allowed for Kazu to ride as well as made his partner seem more buff, which was the only thing that mattered in the world of Kazu.
Name: Digivice Duration: 5 Posts Color: Yellow Effect: If the digimon modified by this card is a "Virus" they may digivolve to Champion for the duration of this card.

Everything had been looking so good for her. Even though the floating gear was a bit dodgy and his abilities unpredictable, she still stood the strongest digimon in battle, shrugging off the gears attempts to harm her. She thought she was about to finish the piece of scrap metal off, when suddenly it began to glow and... digivolve? "Hey-what?" She spat, her eyes all widening in surprise. "Digivolving won't sav--"
The Dokugumon's words were cut off when she was suddenly hit by the Guardomon's warning lasers. She backed up a bit, but couldn't brace herself against the attack and ended up being flung onto her back, where she ended up on her back, her legs flailing as she attempted to right herself. "Arrgh! Screw this, spider thread!" She snapped, spitting a several lines of spider web at the Guardomon.

Kazu liked the way the battle was going now that his partner was in champion form, which meant that he didn’t need to use as many cards as he would have if it was rookie versus champion. The first attack went off without a problem, but the spider was back on its eight legs and attacking once again. He needed to take advantage of the arms that his partner had now, which could mean only one thing. “Digimodify! Gorillamon’s Energy Cannon Activate!”
Guardromon’s arm was transformed into cannon which he aimed at the incoming spray of thread, which would hopefully cut through it to hit his enemy. “With this blast, I shall seal that ugly mouth of yours. Energy Cannon!” The cannon lit up right before unleashing a stream of energy at the attack and the insect Digimon that was his enemy.
