After digivolving in his fight with a Starmon, it seemed Strikedramon was not about to de-digivolve anytime soon. This proved to be a problem since she could hardly take him around with her if he had no disguise to hide the fact he was a digimon. So Khrys found herself with a new project to keep herself busy the next few days -- making Strikedramon a new cloak.
She had taken Strikedramon's measurements, made up the templates, and had just finished buying up all the fabric, thread, zippers and belts she needed. She had now returned to the safe house to begin her work. She literally ran to the safe house, managing to get Strikedramon in her sights before she succumbed to her unfortunate phobia. "I'm back Strikedramon! You doing okay? I hope you aren't too bored."
Strikedramon responded with an unenthused grumble, shrugging his shoulders. He was spending most of his days sitting in front of the television or sleeping. The only chance he had to get out was at night, and even then he wasn't as free as he used to be. He still had to be cautious and watch out for any night going humans. Never before had he thought he'd actually miss wearing that blistering hot cloak. Why had she made it black? At least this new one was red... It was a darker red, but hopefully wouldn't suck in as much heat as his old cloak did.
Khrys headed over to the table with her supplies, and got to work cutting out templates and pinning them to the fabric. She wanted to get this done as soon as possible before Strikedramon went crazy.

Today was Larry's day to go buy groceries. Everyone else in the team kinda disliked him doing that, because, being the cheapscape that he is, he'd buy things he's able to eat, but which don't look eatable to other, normal people. Meh, they just didn't live in a dorm for a long time - there you would eat anything that can be eaten, before someone else does. They had to learn, didn't they?
- Khrys, I just got back from the sto ... HOLY MOTHER OF SAINT JESUS! - the young man exclaimed as he suddenly found a big, metal clad lizard thingy with horns, which was about size of an adult human, which was big in comparison to monodramon. - No I won't drop the goods in amazement. I paid money for them. - he said and put the bags on the table. Yeah, cheapscape to the bone. Walking around at a distance, he looked at the menacing creature. He figured what was going on rather soon though, when he saw Khrys working on some cloak of sorts. Everything went clear now.
- Khrys, report immediately. How did THAT happen? - he demanded seriously, not even bothering to say hello.

Khrys nearly slipped cutting her fabric when Larry came in, and jumped at the sight of BlackStrikedramon. BlackStrikedramon himself, looked up from the TV momentarily, but returned his gaze to it without so much as a sound. "Oh, I'm sure it'd survive. Most of that stuff probably has enough preservatives in it to make it last through a nuclear war." Khrys joked, returning back to her sewing. However, it seemed Larry was taking this... a little badly. Khrys stopped her machine again, and leaned back on her chair. "Well, the other day we were battling this Starmon, and I used my digivice card to digivolve BlackMonodramon into BlackStrikedramon, and he hasn't dedigivolved since."
Khrys once again went back to her sewing, then remembered her day with Renamon. Well, it had been a while, maybe she had calmed down by now? If anyone knew that it would be his partner. "So is Renamon still upset?"

- Alright... So he digivolved during a battle... Well they warned me that would happen eventually... - Larry said thoughtfully, making laps around the digimon looking with a pretentious glare. - That makes sense, though I'd like you to make a written report at some point with emphasis on details - the higher authorities would like to know of the event as well, and I doubt they'll be satisfied with a few words of a brief description... - he added, completely ignoring the preservative joke - now was not the time.
- And I better inform the military and scientific officers that supervise our group. The military will need to update their images to avoid friendly fire, and the scientists would like to perform some tests... - Larry said and suddenly stopped. - Second thought, I won't inform the scientists for now. Those wackos are craving for a test subject to experiment on, and I ain't sacrificing my own troops to them... - he muttered. The young man hated those science freaks as he called them. He believed they wasted most time just torturing whatever they got their hands on rather than working. It was a bit of a prejudice, but who cares?
However, she got his attention once more, mentioning Renee - Larry always had time to deal with anything considering her - she was his responsibility after all, someone who obeyed him directly. And lately she had experienced some major problems, which put Larry on edge. And he didn't know how to help, and giving the digimon back into Hypnos for check-up was not an option - there was a fat chance she wouldn't be coming out at all...
- Gone worse if you ask me. Last night she completely mutilated a digimon, and almost hit me, when I pulled her away from the carnage... It started only a few days ago, completely out of the blue, and yet I don't know why... She refuses to tell...

BlackStrikedramon fought back the urge to growl when Larry suggested handing him over to the hypnos scientists, instead, letting his feelings on the subject out as nothing more than a snort. The morons had a difficult enough time just making him. He could only imagine what they'd screw up if they tried fiddling around with him again. Fortunately the human dismissed the idea, and he was able to relax... for now. Who knew when he'd change his mind, or if the scientists would force them to submit him. His future was clouded and full of unpleasant possibilities.
Khrys wasn't too thrilled on the aspect of sending BlackStrikedramon to those creepy scientists. When Larry suggested it, she instantly ran over to Strikedramon and threw her arms around his neck. "You better not! Strikedramon doesn't need those scientists poking and prodding him!" She whined, looking like a child protesting a suggestion to take her dog to the vet. Strikedramon, had instantly thrown his arms up the moment Khrys hugged his neck, but froze before he touched her, then simply relaxing. She wasn't strong enough to actually choke him.
Khrys relaxed as well when Larry dropped the idea, releasing Strikedramon and heading back to her work. So Renamon was getting worse? Then he said Renamon hadn't told him why. "Uhhh...." She began nervously. If Renamon was refusing to tell him what was going on, she doubted Renamon would be too pleased if she told him herself. "Well she... I mean... I might... I might know..." She dragged on. Renamon probably wouldn't like it, but it was for her own good. All at once, probably too fast for Larry to even understand, she completely spilled. "I got home a few days ago and Renamon had been trying to access the computer database, saying she was trying to see if a digimon had escaped from an encounter with Hypnos soldiers so she could hunt him down and kill it if it had escaped. I wasn't sure about it, but saw no harm in looking so I looked it up for her and it turned out the digimon she was looking for was killed by another digimon but then she got all sad face. She then told me she wasn't going to hunt the digimon down and that the digimon who had been killed was a friend of hers. That's probably why she's upset."

Larry's face turned grim as he listened to the tale Khrys had to tell him. It explained a lot of things actually. Sudden changes in Renee's behavior, "night patrols" as she called them, disappearing goods from Hypnos storage of all things. Yes, that was the reason alright. It seemed Renee did make friends with the enemies, and was ... collaborating with them? He couldn't believe his ears. No wonder the fox wouldn't tell him anything - that would have undermined his trust in her. It actually did. And Larry did not know what to do next...
- That explains it I guess. Renee does have a revenge streak a mile wide... - he said somberly, taking a sit in a chair. His thoughts were heavy. According to protocol, he was supposed to hand the strained digimon over for a complete behavior reconfiguration and a memory wipe, but he ... couldn't. Renee was still a friend, despite such a ... well, it couldn't be considered betrayal, she did not compromise Hypnos safety in any case, was just helping out her kin. Her kin. Yes, that had to be it. At subconscious level or whatever maybe. She was a digimon. A clone, but still a digimon.
- Something must be done... - he sighed out heavily, but still, he wasn't sure what. He couldn't hand Renee over, no, that was not an option, but a very serious talk was unavoidable. If the higher authorities would find out about this, he would lose his job, and she - her head. - Show me that video file she requested that day. Now. - Larry ordered with a voice that did not suggest "No" as an answer. He was still the superior officer here. And he would get to the bottom of this...

Khrys didn't like the look on Larry's face, and she was beginning to regret even saying anything. Was he mad at Renee? Uh-oh, what if he sent her back to Hypnos? What had she done? Khrys pulled away from her work, her entire body shaking too much for her to be able to work on this properly. Then Larry asked to see the file, and Khrys got up, pretty much dragging herself over to the computer, and got into the database as she had done before. "You aren't going to get her in trouble are you?" She asked, voicing her fears as she started the video.

- I'm supposed to... - Larry replied grimly as he shoved the girl along with the chair away, after she activated the video. Report on a digimon encounter, casualties - 1 trooper, level of danger - high. Enemies destroyed - one fangmon, one wizardmon (presumably). The young man rose an eyebrow. The wizardmon, he heard that name before. Clicking on the play button, he activated the video, and watched through it.
- Hey wait a second... - he suddenly said, scrolling back and widening the image on a certain second... It couldn't be, could it? Yes, it was! Larry could not believe his eyes, it was the insane girl again... She was stalking him like a ghost lately - wherever he went he encountered her. And then he remember her words at the cafe - the words about a powerful wizard becoming something less powerful dues to damage. Was that wizard the friend Renee mentioned? It had to be, but if so...
And than he cracked laughing. He rarely did so all of a sudden, so it wasn't a good sign. Not at all. The laughter quickly became hysterical, as he slammed his fist against the table a few times. What was so funny? Only he knew, and he wasn't going to explain it to anybody. - Stupid, stupid, stupid Renee... She should have told me... - he said amidst laughter. Then the laughing stopped, as sudden as it began, his face serious once more. He slowly walked to the window, arms crossed behind his back. He stood like this, motionless as a statue, for a few minutes, before turning around and going for the door.
- I'm gone, for a few hours. Gonna get my thoughts straitened up. If Renee shows - tell her to wait here. When I get back, ... we'll have a talk. - he said before leaving, slamming the door behind him...

"Please don't!" She squeaked, nearly falling off the chair when Larry pushed her away. Supposed to. Wait.. Did that mean he wasn't going to? Maybe... Though maybe not. He was always the dead serious one. Would he so cold as to turn his friend in? Khrys sat quietly as Larry watched the video. When he started laughing, she quickly backed away. "Its not funny! Stop laughing, you are creeping me out!" Khrys wailed. Great. Now she was dealing with two nutcases! Bad day, bad day.
Khrys simply nodded when Larry told her he was going out. Please do, and don't come back until you are sane! She thought as Larry made his exit. "I think he's been hanging around Renee too long." Khrys remarked, heading back to the sewing machine, so she could hopefully get some work done on it. BlackStrikedramon made a quick snort of laughter. This Larry person certainly was creepy, though he had a negative view of nearly all of the Hypnos operatives. He himself had no doubt in his mind that Renee was screwed. She had revealed herself to be faulty. She was going to end up paying the price.
