(This thread will be used for numerous events that occur within the Orphanage between Steven, Chris, their digimon, and possibly others. Each different topic will be separated by a bolded heading.) The First Meeting People Involved: Christian Gates IIEveryone loved a rebel. But why?
What made a rebel so likable? The fact that they didn't follow the rules and retaliated, or just the fact that they were brave enough to do what other people weren't capable of. It was funny to the little boy watching TV. Everyone loved the rebel character but never wanted to side with them either. It was like watching a lioness protect the herd while the head lion wandered off with the younger cubs. But just like everything good in life, it had to end.
Watching the credits rise upon the screen, Christian stood and stretched from his crowded position upon the couch. Time had really passed by. Everyone else lay snoring and bundled upon each other in the room. Chris never really liked having so many kids in one room just to watch television but it was the living conditions. He had naturally adjusted to it even if he never enjoyed it. Tip-toeing his way across the sleeping kids, Christian retreated up stairs. Passing by Ms. Sayol's room, Chris continued to enter the computer room.
Sitting upon the chair, he turned the computer on and swirled in the seat to wait for the screen to upload. Once set, Chris began to open the internet. Despite the time, the young boy was anything but tired thus games on the computer was a must at this time. What else could tire a kid out so easily? Either way it was some form of entertainment rather than laying in bed counting sheep. Of course, the only site to go on was Digimon TCG Online.
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out some real life Digimon cards and laid them out behind the keyboard. Entering their numbers into the game, Chris toyed around with his deck. Looking up at the screen, Chris entered the lobby zone and ran off to get his other cards from his room. As he left, his cards behind the keyboard began to react surprisingly. Gathering together a light formed from the cards and the screen. In seconds, a figure slowly transformed from digitized data to an actual Digimon and behind the keyboard a digivice remained. With a sigh of relief the bear looking Digimon smiled as the transfer was successful.
Chris, with a piles of cards in his hand, entered the room not noticing anything different about the surrounding. Looking up to the computer, Chris froze to see another guest in the room. The cards fell from his hands slowly as shock took over his body. Tapirmon looked over to Chris and smiled softly towards the boy. "You must be Christian," the Digimon said to him. Christian still frozen started to generate some slow movement but was still in shock overall.
"You-You're a Digi--mon," Christian said. Tapirmon giggled a bit to herself and nodded. Chris' face lit up instantly at the sight. "Does this mean that I'm...oh my gosh. This is awesome! Are we...partners?" Chris had heard through numerous sites and people at school that the possibility of having a Digimon as a partner was possible. However, no one themselves had one or had ever seen one. Not since the D-Reaper incident at least. They appeared to have disappeared and only the trading card game was the last appearance of them. Yet, here was a Tapirmon in his room smiling at him. Chris ran over and knelt down to hug the beast to see if everything was true. Feeling her fur only made him hug her tighter.
"Chris...," Tapirmon said softly. "Chris...that's a little tight." Chris immediately broke the hug apologizing.
"I'm sorry," he said. "I just had to make sure it was true." With a wisp of a sound, Chris turned towards the keyboard to see the digivice activated and the map exposed. Upon sight of it, the map disappeared into the D-3. Chris jumped up and ran to grab the digivice. The excitement in his eyes was dazzling. "It's actually here. Oh my gosh this is sooo awesome!"
"I'm glad to know you're excited," Tapirmon stated. With a yawn, her whole appeal changed and Chris looked at her with a questionable look. "Sorry. But I've been traveling for a long time. I guess I'm just tired."
"It's alright. You can go in my room and sleep. You go by Tapirmon, right?" Chris stated quickly shutting the computer down and pocketing the digivice. Tapirmon nodded surprised at the knowledge the boy had. Levitating in the air she began to follow the boy as he headed towards his room. "Cool. I guess we can talk more tomorrow since you're tired. I'll make a bed for you." In a matter of seconds, a surrounding of blankets and a pillow were set on the floor on the opposite side of the bed to hide her. Laying on the pillow, Tapirmon slowly closed her eyes as a whisper of thanks escaped her mouth. Chris, now even more excited, entered the bed and closed his eyes ready for the next day.

Colliding Concepts People Involved: Steven Gates, Falcomon, Christian Gates II, Tapirmon?Despite everything that occurred, Christian was oblivious to it all. How did cards enhance Digimon and what did it do to them? Was everything just naturally in place or was there something more? This all couldn't have come up in simple minutes. There had to be a system already in place. After the battle between Falcomon and Hawkmon, Steven noticed similarities between what was being done on the battlefield and a certain card game his brother had caught a fancy to. There had to a similarity, right?
So literally out of curiosity, Steven pondered in his room on if his thoughts were true. Falcomon leaned on the bed relaxing, while the table and laptop were Steven's choice of location. With the three cards Falcomon had given him in hand, Steven searched the cards to see where they had come from. In fact, the cards were easy to find and were "support cards" for the collectible card game Christian played. The kid nearly begged for a booster pack each time they passed the store. Maybe those trips would be fruitful about now.
Standing up abruptly stunned Falcomon, and the digimon leaned up in response. In a sort of dazed look, Falcomon rubbed his eyes and looked drearily at his Tamer.
"Well," Falcomon started. "Did you find what you were looking for?"
"Not sure," Steven stated. He then started to walk towards the door. With his hand firmly on the handle he paused. Releasing the handle he turned to Falcomon. Jumping off the bed, Falcomon awaited a command for them to head out, but was upset to find the reason to be something more. "Tell me...why are you here? Why did I get chosen to be a Tamer?"
"I was wondering when you would start asking the 'good' questions," Falcomon said jumping back on the bed to return to his previous position. "The Digital World has for years been the product of a true utopia. However, from peace must come war, right? Well there has been a dispute against the power humans bring to digimon and the destruction they bring also. Thus a new tyrant has appeared to go out and prove this right or wrong. However, humans have been deleting them upon entrance. Safety for digimon in the human world was shown to be a danger zone. Thus, other digimon were sent out with humans to show how the connection would react. Your data was found through a network and I was created to be your partner. So basically, I'm here to protect the other Digimon and do it with your help."
"So you're telling me that there are other Tamers like me that are literally just attacking other Digimon...for fun?" Steven stated recalling the attack on Hawkmon.
"Everyday." Falcomon stated bluntly. Steven paused looking down on the ground. This was literally a massacre. Digimon coming through to the Digital World and then Tamers taking them out. Clinching his fist, Steven abruptly opened the door. "Stay here and don't let anyone see you. I'll be back." With that the door slammed behind him, as he left.
Walking just two doors down, Steven looked upon his brother's door and paused for a second before knocking. He had to learn about this game and strategies for it. There was no way he could allow other Tamers to abuse such a privilege. To be just like his father and use Digimon and treat them like trash. Raising a fist up, he knocked softly on the door.
"Christian," he said. "Are you in there? Can we talk for a minute?"

(lol "Tapirmon?". Yes I'm going to have my Digimon present. xD) "So I'm a Tamer," Christian repeated as he looked down at the digivice. Both he and Tapirmon starred at each other upon his bed. With Tapirmon not having any legs, she was moreorless floating but the young boy didn't even care. He was caught in a daze of imagination as Tapirmon talked with him about everything she had been through. For the mind of a kid, the simplicity of her travel appeared to be the journey of a lifetime. Especially to come from another world once dreamed to be nothing more than a game.
"Yes," Tapirmon said softly. "If that's what you would like to be called. Honestly I like Christian." They both laughed softly to each other. Looking at the cards spread between him and Tapirmon, Chris picked one up. The cards were literally the same to the game he had been playing for a good few years now, or at least it felt that long. "And with those cards you can enhance my abilities to help in battles."
"That's what I thought," Christian said. "But wait...." Christian looked up quickly while Tapirmon tilted her head in confusion. "What exactly are we battling?"
"Oh well...," Tapirmon sighed as the question arised. "There are a group of Digimon in the Digital World that have been releasing other Digimon into this world to harm them. I was sent here to stop them from destroying the human world. It's believed that a human and Digimon connection can help Digimon become strongere from their bond. I believe that with your help we can stop whoever is doing all this." Christian jaw dropped at the answer. This was some serious business. It was possible that things could get rough, or even worse. Suddenly a smile appeared on his face as he exclaimed....
"This is AWESOME!" With that a knock came out the door and Christian's excitement disappeared in a flash. His heart raced as he looked towards Tapirmon. Then a voice spoke.
Christian looked around trying to think of something. His brother would flip out on him if he ever knew that he had an actual Digimon in his room. He might even separate them. That couldn't happen, no matter the case.
"Uh one sec," Christian yelled. Instantly he jumped out of the bed and lifted the cover that hid what was under the bend. Looking down under that spot, Christian paniked even more. There was no way Tapirmon would fit under there. Standing pack up he looked around again.
"Is everything ok?" Tapirmon said. Christian shoved his index finger to his lips signaling Tapirmon to not talk. Running over to the closet he opened the door and waved for Tapirmon to get in. Quickly she moved to the opened space without another word. Closing the closet, Christian brushed himself off and walked towards the door. Just before he touched the handle he ran back to the bed and put the D-3 in his pocket. Checking to make sure everything was clear for one last time he continued.
"Yeah you can come in now." Turning to his brother, he hoped on his bed with a cheerful, yet nervous, smile. "What's up?"

(Yeah...didn't want to assume. Also this isn't one of my best post. Sorry) Steven waited patiently at the door, but was a little annoyed to find that he had to wait. But kids would be kids, right? He was positive that Christian was hiding his collection of cards as to not allow other eyes to catch a glimpse of them. Folding his arms, he paused when he could of swore he heard another voice. Was Christian talking to someone else? This didn't help his suspicions of what exactly the boy was doing. He was just a kid, but then again he was...just a kid. Then Christian called out allowing him to enter.
Slowly Steven opened the door, and took note to look around the room as he entered. To his dismay nothing was out of order. Watching his brother jump on the bed, a rare smile appeared on the older sibling's face. Closing the door behind him, Steven walked over to the bed and sat on it. Seeing the cards on his bed, Steven picked them up and scattered them in his hands. Reading each effect with more care than before he was sure his brother would know something was up.
"You know," Steven started. "I just realized that we really haven't bonded with something in a while. So I was wondering...could you teach me how to play this Digimon game?" Looking towards his younger sibling he was sure to see a face full of surprise. Unfortunately, that was the only way he could think to get the information without getting the questions he didn't want to answer. Falcomon had to be kept a secret. Not only that but he couldn't worry Christian with what was happening with Digimon entering the real world.
"Well...you think you can teach me?"

(lol if your muse was low you didn't have to post) With a fake smile on his face, and his heart racing beneath his chest, Christian watched as his brother entered the room looking around in suspicion. Quickly looking over Christian assured that the door was in fact closed that led to Tapirmon. Hopefully, she could keep quiet. Since she was a soft natured Digimon he had no reason to believe she would burst out and ruin everything. Looking back towards Steven, he watched his brother come and sit on the bed. Crossing his legs under him Chris layed up to see what was on his brother's mind. He had gotten use to "kissing up" situations. Each time Steven sat on the bed it was one of those moments. Either that or a sign of bad news. Typically it was the latter though.
He then picked up Chris' cards that were scattered across the bed. While Steven read the card the silence between them was painful to go through. Why was messing around with him? Thoughts of what bad news could be coming raced through his head. Would they have to move? Did the protection program find something tragic in reference to them? Even worse, he wondered if Steven had overheard the small commotion that Chris had with Tapirmon. He wanted to shoot himself in the foot but couldn't. He could only wait in anticipation.
"Is everything ok?" Chris asked. His face was fully unaware of a response that could possibly be said.
Christian would through a multitude of feelings as his brother spoke. First it was relief. It was nothing horrible or to worry about. His head dropped from that relief. Second was happiness. His brother was actually trying to bond with him again. They really had not done anything "sibling-like" in a while. Everything just seemed to out of reach to do for their situation. He was a kid and yet he understood that you couldn't get everything you wanted. The final feeling was shock. Digimon! Steven! In the same sentence. Realizing what was said, Christion lifted in his head and his eyes nearly popped out of his face. Did Steven really want to learn how to play Digimon? There had to be a catch.
"You?" Before he could even think of a real response the word just escaped his mouth. Digimon was typically a game for kids or geeky teenagers. Someone of Steven's calibur would accept beieng caught playing the card game. It was more reasonable to play online but just knowing that Steven wanted to learn just threw Christian off-guard.
"Well...of course I...can," Christian spoke uneasily when he was fully confident in his answer. This was an odd way to bond with a sibling was it not? His face decretely showed how he felt, mostly because he wasn't adapt to hiding facial expressions. Shaking it out of his head, he put a smile on his face. He was probably thinking too much into it. Stupid critical thinking. It wasn't like he was good at it anyway. Jumping off the bed, Christian ran over to the closet where majority of his cards were and paused. He couldn't go in there or face a Steven and Tapirmon confrontation. Quickly turning around, Christ thought quickly to himself about how to go about this.
"Uh...," he started stumbling upon his thoughts for a way out. He had to get him out of the room. Once that happened he could be more at ease. The closet was too much of a pinpoint spot to bring attention to. "Let's mooovve...downstairs!" Perfect! "It has more space than this room and I can explain things better. You go ahead I'll gather some cards together." Running up towards Steven he forcibly grabbed his hand and pulled his off the bed to start pushing him towards the door. The quicker they were out the better.

Steven looked at the expression on his brother's face and smiled, on the inside, at how precisely he knew his brother. He could imagine the questions racing through his mind about why he would be interested in the card game. Lies at this point were simply necessary. He couldn't afford for Christian to get in the way of things. If other people like those tamers were attacking other Digimon just because this turnout could turn sour in a second. There was no way he could live with himself if anything were to happen to Christian. That burden wasn't something he was up for.
With his uneasy answer, Steven stood up with a faulty smile on his face. Now that he thought about it it was funny for his brother to actually be teaching him something. Ever since he started school Steven helped his younger brother with anything he was having trouble with, which was surprisingly a lot. But he couldn't allow his brother to go through that same feeling of resentment that he experienced. He was better off being the happy playful kid that he was. No one needed two 'Steven's' in the world. One was enough.
Watching Christian run over to his closet, Steven watched in anticipation for what was to come next. He wasn't jumping up and down about to wet himself over some cards, but he was ready to learn how to improve his game for the next battle he and Falcomon did. This time his attack plan could be more strategic than before. His face frowned when Christian immediately stopped out of nowhere and turned back to him. Once again he had that...fearful face as if he was keeping a secret. Even as he thought of an alternative he revealed that something was going on. He never really stuttered when he spoke until he was nervous. Then again he was just a kid. He motioned for them to go outside and he was not really interested in questioning him about it. It was probably another dog he was trying to keep but Ms. Sayol would handle that after finding it's droppings everywhere. When would the kid learn?
"Fine," Steven said while his brother was pulling him out the room. "I'll meet you downstairs. Just don't take too long with your...'cards'." With a small chuckle he opened the door and walked out. Going down the hallway he truly wandered what was in the closest. Did he think it was a secret after giving away all the signs? That was also why he probably took so long opening the door. Kids would be kids, right? The concern he had was that his little brother didn't trust him enough to share it. Then again, he couldn't be too angry as he wasn't trusting enough to inform Christian of Falcomon. But he couldn't, right? It was a life and death situation that he couldn't involve his brother in. People and Digimon could get hurt. He was likely trying to stop the very group of people that created the D-Reaper. Christian would understand.
Coming upon the living open area, he looked at the kids crowded around the television and frowned at the sight of them. He had no particular reason why he didn't like them, but he certainly knew that wasn't going to take the time to be acquainted with them. Sitting at the round table he waited for his brother to come. Pulling at the digivice that he was within his pocket he wondered again if this was fate or just some means of defense from the Digimon World. Putting back in his pocket he sighed. Only time would tell. (again sorry for taking so long)
