It was odd that everything had been so dull for the past months, it was almost as if time had suddenly stood still. Nothing in the news about random digimon attacks, nothing about people seeing strange visions, everything had been very normal. Maybe the girl was simply over thinking things, but then again, Brittany wasn't used to things being so calm. At least not like they used to be. Yet there was very good reason for her to be skeptical.
Before meeting Veemon, the young teen's live had been normal. She would go to school, return home to study and then do what she was told. Upon meeting the blue monster, her life had shifted into another routine completely, one that often involved life threatening situations. One of these events almost cost herself and her mother a home, and even made her lie about the true happenings behind the ordeal. But time had a way of healing some things, perhaps this was a time of healing for her.
With her mother lacking in trust, Brittany wasn't actually given much freedom. Other than school, she was to be over at her Grandmothers preparing for her session at the theater, session that she found rather annoying since it seemed that she was forced more into her Geisha training than usual. It bugged her, but she held her tongue. She knew her grandmother was much more strict than her mother, so talking back would end with a slap in the face. But this increase in their observation of her prevented her from spending time with her partner, who just seemed to follow her from a distance. Sometimes Brittany would manage to sneak out, but often the creature was left alone and she hated to see what trouble he'd get into without her watching.
Her fears soon became reality, as she walked out of the school to see a short person standing outside waiting for her. He was dressed in heavy clothing from head to toe, but his eyes gave him away at first glance. Brittany didn't even need to do a double take, she knew it was Veemon and that he was out in public. Rushing over to his side, the girl ushered the awkwardly dressed creature towards the near by woods behind the school, looking at him with a smirk while crossing her arms over her chest.
" Where did you get those clothes?"
Veemon snickered as he tipped the large fedora further down his face as he then began to speak.
"You'd be surprised what you can find in the slums...Especially at night..."

This place was sooooo different from where he was from. Seriously, words could not even begin to describe just how utterly strange this place was to Ishaan compared to the monastery he was oh so used to. But he liked to explore, he really enjoyed it, so explore he did.
It was just...
Yeah, he was pretty sure he had already managed to get himself completely and helplessly lost. There were plenty of trees one way and a couple different buildings another way... Hrmm... Well, at least it was better than being bored. Even getting lost had its pluses, a new adventure, not to mention he was confident that he would eventually find his way back to where he had wandered away from. It was likely the monks of the Japanese monastery he was currently residing at were worried by this point in time, but that never stopped him before now did it?
The boy’s wandering eyes soon set upon two figures that seemed to be moving closer to the woods. A grin spread across his face and he started to run toward the girl and the other form, waving his hand above his head as a way to say hello. ”Hello over there!” he kindly called over to the two, wanting little more than to have a friendly conversation with someone he had never met before. He was in a country that was very much unlike his own, after all, a friend or two could be really nice right about now.

Upon hearing the voice, both Brittany and Veemon turned around with blank expressions. The girl first looked at Veemon, who in turn stared up at her as he quickly made sure that his clothing was covering him completely. Though just as the kid drew closer, Brittany reached over and pulled the tip of the dragon's hat further down in order to make sure his face was covered in the fedora's shadow. Smiling, the young school girl then waved as she left one hand behind her back as it held her book bag within it.
"Hi....."
The stranger looked rather different, as if he had come from a place that was pretty far away. It was likely that this was so, considering that his apparel was rather unique. Slightly bald with a few strands of hair that appeared to be growing it, the kid looked longer than she was, possibly belonging to the middle school. But then what was he doing over here? Perhaps he was lost, or maybe just taking a walk? Either way, she wasn't going to take a chance with him seeing Veemon or it would really be awkward.

The boy stopped little more than a few feet away from the girl and the other figure. The second person, he couldn’t even see their face or anything, it was strange. But Ishaan didn’t think much of it regardless, if that kid was going to be silent, then he would focus most of his attention on the girl who had responded to his hello!
”You umm... You’re from around here, right?” he asked the brown-haired girl in a slightly sheepish way. He gave off a nervous smile and glanced around at the immediate area for a few seconds before returning his attention back over to her. Of course she was, she had to be didn’t she? It was a silly question. ”Because I think I ...maybe might be a little lost,” he said to her. It was the only thing he could really think of to say. It was strange to start up a conversation with who was probably the first stranger he had made contact with in this new city and country.
Peeking around the brunette, Ishaan attempted to get a look at the other ‘kid’. It was his curiosity that wanted him to just get a glimpse of the shorter figure, and also what caused him to look back over to the girl with that same curious look in his eyes. ”Is he shy or something...?”

"Oh him?....Yes! Very! To the point that he hides himself under great layers of clothing...."
Brittany nodded with a calm expression as she said it in a very sad tone of voice. Moving closer to Veemon, made sure to try and block the stranger's view of his face so that he wouldn't get a good view to see anything. But she wasn't sure how long she'd be able to play interference? Hopefully, she'd be able to help this kid before he really started to get suspicious.
"But your lost huh? I'm guessing your not from around here huh? Where exactly are you trying to go?"
Veemon looked towards the boy, doing his best to look as though he wasn't staring as he wondered just what he was supposed to do now? He could simply remain quiet? It seemed as though that was the point in which Brittany was trying to make by agreeing with the assessment that he was shy. Yet, he then wondered what he would have to do in case this didn't work? Could he play the costume gag again?

”Oh... I see... I think,” he scratched his baldhead in a state of confusion. No... now wait a second here... That... didn’t make any sense at all... Huh...
Ishaan blinked a few times; likely making it very clear just how very confused he felt right now. “Uh... Yeah, right, anyway!” each word spilling out of his mouth with little actual meaning to any of them. What was he saying anyway? Hrm... he wasn’t sure. It was just that things wouldn’t have been so awkward if that weird kid had not been there to distract him in the first place.
Moving on... “Nope. I’ve never even seen a place like this before!” the boy told her, becoming more relaxed now. It was the truth, considering that up until now the only place he had ever known was the monastery he grew up at... This place wasn’t like it at all, though the monks probably wouldn’t like it if they knew he was wandering around the way he was. At least, that’s what he figured. “I... can’t say that there’s really a place I’m trying to go to, since I don’t know much about what you guys do for fun around here. And I’d rather not return to the monastery just yet... that place might be hard to find again,” the boy finished with a brief laugh.
“Oh, and my name’s Ishaan, by the way.”

"Brittany Andrea...."
Smiling back as she laughed slightly as well, she was at least relieved that he had left the topic of the strange figure beside her. That might mean that he either didn't wish to push the issue or he was convinced by her explanation. The teen didn't believe it was the last one, since his confused glance seemed to make it clear that he wasn't sure if anything she had said made sense. But that didn't matter, he dropped it, so she would as well. Keeping her hands at her back, she thought for a moment and then shrugged her shoulders as she wasn't sure where to start. With all the things within Tokyo, it would be a little difficult to give him a good place to start.
"Well...We have an arcade! That's where most people go to have fun. The mall, the park, there's also some places within the Slums, but its better to go with someone than by yourself. It all depends on what peaks your interests really?"
Looking him over once more as she thought about his previous comment, she blinked as a blank expression washed over her face while she tilted her head to the side.
"Did you say you were from the monastery?"

School normally brought the best out of people. Did it? Well it most certainly didn’t in the case of Zariel Kentra, with his combination of inabilities; paying attention, turning up on time, doing homework, and mostly learning anything. Of course he was capable of picking up the odd snippet of information which was then stored away, but with the exception to that there was nothing else. Just a constant stream of crazy ideas, ranging from “I could quite easily climb the outside of this building” to “homework fight”. So far he didn’t have the guts to even attempt any of them – not through fear of any of the events, but through fear of the consequences afterwards. Even he did learn a little bit though this fear process.
However, this was all meaningless now, when you considered the fact that he had managed to escape from class and was now making his way out before a site managed to stop him. It was some girl, a clothed midget and some other guy near the woods. Well this made things a little more interesting – maybe. Regardless of the level of interest, a clothed up midget was quite funny. Funny enough for Zariel to need to sneak up on it. And who knew, maybe he might end up doing something far better. Sneaking up (badly given the lack of cover), Zariel just needed a half decent moment now, to do something. Yeah, something, never mind what it was going to be.

Each one of the places she mentioned sounded as though they could be interesting. Interesting and fun to venture to and explore. Ishaan decided that he would very much like to find out what those places were all about, and what made them fun. Maybe this Brittany person would show him around? That would make her his first new friend over here too! “Well what places are fun to you? We could go to those, you could show me!” the boy grinned, hoping she would want to show him around to these places.
“Yeah, I am. A monastery in Tibet, actually, but I’m visiting the one that’s... somewhere around here... for a while,” he nodded toward her confused look, giving her a full answer to that question of hers. Had she ever seen a monk before? Maybe, maybe not. Nor did the monk notice the other male who was sneaking up on one of them at this very moment.

"Well...I enjoy the mall and the arcade....So I guess we could start there..."
Brittany figured that taking him away from the situation was better than just lingering in the woods. It would not only give Veemon a chance to get back to the forest, but it would keep the younger boy from asking anymore questions. Though just when the teen was about to tell the disguised digimon about her plan, she blinked as she saw a boy attempting to sneak up behind him. Frowning as she shouted towards him, she held a glare as she just stared towards the stranger.
"HEY! What do you think your doing!?"
Caught off guard by the shout, Veemon stumbled forwards some what, displaying some of his blue skin as he quickly covered himself up again to hide it.
