"Thank you, Ms. Ita." The second grader takes deep breath, as he exits the classroom. He needed to calm his nerves after the first day of class. He just got done going over what has been going on in the classes. Hiko goes to his locker to retrieve his helmet.
Ms. Ita told me that if I didn't have to worry about getting a ride home, the gym is open and there are study groups. Grandma told me to stay a while anyways.
Being here made him introverted. He really didn't talk to anyone, unless they've talked to him first. Hiko feels afraid that he was going to get bullied again.
Wait. They're not here. They won't come after me now. I want to meet people anyways. Claming down considering, he turns around and starts walking down the halls. Not everyone is a jerk, but if they are, I know how to deal with them.

Right now, the last place Takuya wanted to be was at home. Most children hated school, they hated learning and taking tests and only wanted to have fun with their friends and go home, but to him, the school building was more of a sanctuary. Here he didn’t have to worry about... things, namely the stress of home despite the fact that he was so young.
But these hallways... why did they have to be so confusing? The boy was lost, plain and simple, wandering the halls almost in a panic from the anxiety he was feeling. Sure, he didn’t want to go home just yet, but that wasn’t to say that he wanted to be trapped in this school forever!
At the sudden sound of a locker being slammed shut, Takuya nearly jumped right out of his skin. In his fright, he made a mad dash down the nearest hallway, his feet carrying him forward while his head was twisted to the side in an attempt to get a look at what was behind him. Someone could be chasing him, he didn’t know.
“Oof!” the boy slammed into something, hard, and before he knew it he was toppling down to the floor. So much for escaping... “S... Sorry,” he quickly apologized with his eyes staring down only at the floor. If it was a bigger kid... they were probably really mad right about now.

As he finished making his self-proclamation, Hiko hears someone running towards him. He turns to see who it was. I can't dodge him, he quickly thinks as he sees that he's in the boy's path. Instinctively, his raise to cover his face. He was able to tell that the golden-haired head would hit him in the mouth otherwise.
"Gauh!" Though braced, the impact still took him by surprise. The headgear absorbed the fall, for his head. It wasn't the worse hit in the world to take. Getting up, heard the other person speak. He takes one quick look of where he was standing, before going to the other kid, and offers his head, "I'm fine. Need help?"
Hidehiko was bigger all right, by a whole 5 pounds and 3 inches; yet he wasn't angry. He knew the boy must have wanted to escape from something to run that fast. It was so fast and forceful, he was pushed 3 feet. Concerned, "Someone chasing you?"

The boy took Hiko’s hand as it was offered to him, using the hold that he had on his hand in order to pull himself up. The first thing he noticed was that the slightly bigger kid didn’t appear to be mad at him or anything, definitely a good thing that was. “Thanks,” Takuya smiled rather shyly as he displayed that he was thankful for the other boy’s help.
Dusting himself off, despite the fact that the floors were actually quite clean, the blonde-haired child directed his attention up toward the slightly taller boy. He supposed it made sense that he was being asked such a question, considering the way he had been running earlier. So carelessly that he’d run into another person he didn’t even know. “Uh—uhh...” Takuya took a second to glance down into the hallway that he had his back turned to, just to make sure there really wasn’t anyone behind him. “Nah... I heard somethin’ and I thought someone was after me for a second, guess I was wrong though,” he answered with a nervous smile.
“Oh, and my name’s Takuya... Sorry again for bumping into you,” the boy brought his hand up to his spiky hair and rubbed the back of his head for no apparent reason while he spoke. A nervous habit, most likely.

Hidehiko listens, starting to forget he was ran into the first place. Just because it was unimportant and the kid just explains he was ran because he was nervous. He just took the account of the shyness as embarrassment and nerves. "The only thing I heard was me slamming the locker. Sorry if it was me."
Hiko was relaxed, as Takuya introduced himself. "It's fine... Mm..." He clears his throat, feeling a little shy. "My name is Hidehiko. This is my first day here. I come from Edogawa." Edogawa is part of Tokyo also, east of the current district.
Though he felt silly, he thought Takuya seems like the perfect person to ask. As if asking about something personal and embarrassing, "If you're not busy or needing to go anywhere... May you please show me around? I still don't know the place good enough." His eyes look toward the ground, as if he should've known by now.
