Shinjuku park, 8:34 HS. At that time of the day most of the population was either in school, university or working, so hardly any soul was there. However, A duo of odd characters found in the quietness of the morning the right time to do ... some serious wacky things!
" Miiiiir.... why aren't you using your thunderbolt magic? We need to train to beat the demon lords!"
One of them, a magician-themed pink haired girl well known in the area for being a harmless mentally ill person, was insisting her companion, a well mannered lunamon wise beyond his years, to show off the amazing magical powers he once had back when he was a powerful wizardmon. Alas, brutal battle damage caused a de-evolution and currently was unable to replay for her the most wonderful skills of a sagacious wizardmon.
"Pardon me, but in my current state it is impossible. I'm thankful to you for saving my life, but I cannot do everything you wish for."
The digimon owed his life to the insane tamer, without the well timed usage of her digivice to restore his glitched and damaged data, he could've died during a fight involving him and a fangmon. Most of the digimon would either be joyful for having a tamer to increase their power or angry for having lost their freedom, but he could feel neither of those emotions for the only reason he tagged along with her was due he was honor-bound to repay her for saving his life ... and because she reminded him a little about a friend of the past.
It was actually a bit funny, but despite no people should be at that time of the day in the park, there was a small but decent number of them in the park, most of them children not in school-age along their mothers and other kids who simply skipped classes. One would think that the first thing they would do after seeing a lunamon in the middle of the park would be to get suspicious and think about the monsters that appeared two years ago, but due the crazy antics of the "Magician of love" Mistral, pretty much everybody assumed the digimon was a kid or a midget in cosplay tagging along a fellow cosplayer, after all digimon was indeed a popular franchise and people cosplaying as them wouldn't look out of place.
"Ohh ... fine, but show me more of your magic tricks later"
The teenager swung her "magical wand" and acted as if she were truly invoking magic while her digimon companion simply followed her movements, he was smart enough to know that only this facade would divert curious eyes from him as he was "in-character" AKA a human child/midget cosplaying as digimon sidekick to a magician.
