"It should be around here." Khrys mumbled as she walked down the path through Shinjuku Park. It was early in the evening, and the sun was just beginning to set, its rays painting the sky a bright orange hue. It was a bit nippy out, but not enough that Khrys would mind it. The cold was even less of a concern to her, because she was on her first mission, and of course she was excited to see how it went!
Supposedly there had been a digimon detected around the central area of the park, and Khrys and BlackMonodramon had been deployed to counter it. Khrys may have been excited, but the BlackMonodramon that tailed her, wearing a black cloak that concealed his non-human identity from any curious bystanders. Fortunately there weren't too many people in the park. It was too late for the daylight visitors, and too early for the nighttime goers, so there was little concern about any civilians getting in the way.
The duo soon arrived at the sight, a large unnatural looking cloud concentrated to the one little area where a wild digimon was in the process of emerging into the real world. "Alright, we're here! Time to show this wild digimon he's not welcome here!" Khrys said, throwing a fist into the air in excitement. She held that pose for a moment, before looking down at her BlackMonodramon, who was standing neutrally beside her, with no apparent reaction whatsoever to her enthusiasm. "Come on Monny! We're about to enter battle, show some excitement!"
BlackMonodramon looked up at Khrys, and just tilted his head. What... was so exciting about this? They were about to go battle a digimon. They would likely fight more just like it. It... was business wasn't it? He sighed and threw his arm into the air, and managed a halfhearted roar.
"Well, I guess it's a start." She said, looking her digimon partner over, not quite impressed. "Ooh well, lets go!" She said, slipping on a pair of black shades. Ready and set, the two headed into the digital field, BlackMonodramon stripping off his cloak as they went.

Amidst the dense fog that was provided, a figure stood at its center. Four points that seemed to protrude from it's body, the creature turned from one side to another. No clear facial expression could be seen within the darkness in where a mouth would be displayed, though two small blue eyes were visible and showed much concern. Just it's concerns were could only be known to a psychic, because from all appearances, the being was rather dangerous. Though its attention then shifted towards the sighting of two shadows moving towards its position. Rather small......But then, everything in this world is small...Crossing his arms over each other, allowing the steel bracing on his gloves to clank against his outer shell, the Starmon waited for these strangers to show themselves and to state their business. He was a fair digimon after all, and that meant hearing others out before attacking.

Khrys and BlackMonodramon ran through the misty fog of the digital field, barely anything visible for a few moments. Finally they passed through the field, and entered its core, where within stood a metallic digimon. "Hey there!" She called out to the Starmon, waving hello. "Now who are you..." She pondered, pulling out her digivice and scanning the digimon. Starmon, the Mutant Digimon. Champion Level. Special attack, Meteor Shower. "Starmon, okay! Nice to meet you, but you see, you're trespassing in our world, and unfortunately that can't be allowing wild digimon to be romping around our home, so I'm afraid we are going to have to eliminate you." She explained, matter-of-factly.
BlackMondramon stepped forward, waiting for an order as he faced the Starmon. Khrys searched through her cards, and found a good one to start things off with. "Digimodify! Digicannon activate! Now BlackMonodramon, attack!" She said, swiping the card. A second later, Gorillamon's cannon appeared on Blackmonodramon's arm. BlackMonodramon lifted his newly acquired weapon, and fired the cannon at the Starmon.
Name: DigiCannon Duration: 2 Posts Color: Gold Effect: The Digimon who is modified by this card will have an arm/tail or some other body part transformed into Gorillamon's Cannon, or will altogether grow a limb for the cannon. This will allow the Digimon to use Gorillamon's Gorilla Cannon attack and fire a Champion Level blast from the cannon.

Starmon barely had time to avoid the blast, moving toe the side as the cannon fire blazed past him, hitting one of the park benches nearby. Looking at the damage done and then back towards the human girl and her partner, the digimon groaned as this was the last thing he wanted to deal with. Trespassing in their world? They made it sound like he had a choice in the matter. All he wanted was to go home, but he just so happened to be taken here. But it didn't look like they wanted to hear him out, which wasn't fair at all.
"Great....So I'm guessing you have no intention of hearing me out then do you? Fine...But I don't plan on dying without a fight...."
Standing sideways, he allowed the long yellow scarf on his back to blow gently in the breeze as he narrowed his eyes towards the blue haired female and her companion. Letting his hands down to the side of him, the Starmon then charged in towards them before jumping into the air. With a gathering of light particles forming around his face, the digimon then spread his arms out in his descent, firing a star-shaped laser from the dark center of his face.
"Hypnotizer!"

Khrys shrugged at the Starmon's words. "Well, you could explain yourself if you want, but it won't change the fact that you are here, and therefore must be eliminated." Khrys explained, her tone still quite friendly despite discussing the Starmon's demise. Khrys then continued searching through her cards. "Wow, they don't really give you much to work with. Stupid government cuts..." She muttered as she tried to find something useful, and found her deck wasn't really too sufficient enough for her needs. "Digimodify, Back up chip 1.0 activate!" Khrys said, swiping the card. There wasn't much else to do but extend the duration of Digicannon's effect.
Meanwhile, BlackMonodramon's attack had missed the Starmon. Great, what a waste of attack. BlackMonodramon thought, annoyed. The Starmon was now rushing him and had prepared an attack of his own, but the Starmon wasn't the only one capable of dodging. BlackMonodramon threw himself to the side, just avoiding the laser attack. He then turned his cannon on the Starmon again and fired another blast at the mutant digimon.

The position the digimon was in now was very inconvenient. While he had thought there would be somewhat of an element of a surprise in his attack, he had not expected the Blk.Monodramon to react as quickly as he did. So as he continued to fall to the earth, he had little to no option in evading the incoming cannon blast. Thus, he took it head on, flying backwards in the air before landing some distance away. But upon his rough landing, the Starmon rose back up to his feet, a frown on his face as he dusted himself off.
"Not bad.....But there isn't any chance in hell that I'm gonna be done after one hit..."

The cannon blast had made direct contact with the Starmon, sending the star shaped digimon flying backward and putting some distance between the two. Monodramon simply rolled his eyes at the Starmon's remark. Who had said anything about taking him down in one hit? He wasn't daft. It would take more than one hit to finish this starry digimon, and he'd break him down until he did go down. Monodramon then rushed forward. He had one more turn with this cannon and he wasn't intending to waste it. He kept his arm up, aimed at the Starmon so when he shot wouldn't be so predictable when he finally did fire the cannon, still running at the Starmon. After he shot he quickly rolled to the right to avoid running into the blast himself.

Taking another blow from the cannon, the Starmon gasped as he reached over to it's left point, feeling the heat from the attack's impact against his armor-like plated body. Now he was starting to feel pain, and that wasn't good. Glaring towards the digimon as it moved to the side, Starmon swiftly lashed out towards it. It was foolish for him to get reckless, especially with a digimon that had a human companion, but he wasn't going to let them believe they had the upper hand over him.
Turning to the side, the star digimon attempted to kick the Blk.Monodramon as a means to get some distance.

BlackMonodramon had gotten another hit in, but with three shots spent, the digi cannon vanished, leaving BlackMonodramon with no more significant attacks to send at the Starmon. The Starmon than aimed a kick at Monodramon, and the cloned digimon was sent flying back a few meters. He however, got back up. Much like the Starmon, he wasn't about to fall in one hit. Still, his limited strength was a problem. Even if the digicannon had done a good amount of damage, it would likely still take a good number of hits to take the Starmon down. Khrys searched her deck for something useful. Well, it seemed the only thing she had left was her digivice. "Digimodify! Digivice activate!" She said, swiping the digivolution card. BlackDorumon then began glowing brightly, his power increasing, and form changing. When the light subsided, it revealed BlackStrikedramon, a much taller lizard creature with gold armor and red pants. He then ran at the Starmon, his speed much improved from his rookie form, and engulfed himself in blue flames before aiming a barrage of kicks and punches at his opponent. Name: Digivice Duration: 5 Posts Color: Red Effect: If the digimon modified by this card is a "Vaccine" they may digivolve to Champion for the duration of this card.

This battle was getting more and more interesting. While he hadn't expected this change to occur within the digimon, he figured that the fight wasn't going to be a straight brawl from the moment the girl played that card of hers. But the surprises didn't seem to stop with the evolution of the Blk.Strikedramon, as the new digimon seemed move at a speed that surpassed his own. In moments, Starmon found himself within a barrage of quick punches and kicks that seemed to come at him from every side.
Attempting to block at many as he could, the strikes still managed to get through, sending him stumbling backwards in a daze. This digimon was indeed powerful, but could he really be stronger than him now? Shaking his body as a means to jerk himself back to reality, Starmon groaned as he rose himself back to a fighting stance, narrowing his eyes as he stretched an open palm out towards the champion, pulling one of his fingers back and forth as a means to egg him on.
"Come on...Is that all you got?"
