"Tee hee, we are very close!"
The girl who would be mistaken for a magician cosplayer by normal people dashed through the streets of the city followed by her lunamon companion towards the shinjuku park. She was frolicking freely around the city spreading her message of love to everybody when her digivice reacted to the arrival of a recently emerged digimon. Funny enough she and lunamon took so long to arrive to the park because she separated from her partner and they wasted some time trying to reunite each other and by the time they arrived, the digital field was already dissipating and only traces of a battle remained.
"Ohh ... we are too late. Miiir, what can we do?"
Mir, as she called her lunamon companion, was not amused by the situation. In the best case the digimon was still around still battling against .. somebody. In the worst case they were too late and it was destroyed and reverted into data most likely absorbed by whoever defeated it.
"Hope is the last thing to die, I believe the digimon might still be alive and if not .. at least I want to be sure"
The odd team searched around the shinjuku park area for signals of digimon activity and despite being a mentally ill human whose perception of what is real and what is fantasy is distorted and twisted, the girl who called herself Mistral found something interesting. Maybe it was her ability to easily find bizarre out of normal things at work or a mere coincidence, but she almost immediately found a young man and two digimon
"Hehehe, found you! Mir, I found some of those magical creatures like you!"
Well, actually they weren't only a young man and two digimon, next to them lied the corpse of a harpymon in state of decomposition, slowly dissipating into random floating bits of data. By the time the lunamon reunited with his tamer, the harpymon's data was already spiraling towards the sky, there it vanished, hopefully returning to the digital world to be reborn there.
"Excuse me for meddling in your affairs, but I would like to know what happened here before jumping to conclusions."
He spoke directly towards the human male. He didn't seem to be a bad human and looked like he was puzzled about what to do with the keramon near him. And the other digimon along him was a lucemon who apparently was his digimon partner given that they acted like they knew each other.

With Harpymon taken care of Kyle turned his attention towards the prone Keramon. The injured creature didn't look fatally wounded, but it wasn't responding much - can digimon become unconscious? They could sleep...so most likely yes. That was probably for the best if it was unconscious, it wouldn't feel much of the pain it was most definitely in.
He heard...craziness behind himself and twisted around...and saw something more psychologically scary than the Harpymon. Cosplayers, fine. But this wasn't a convention...and 'magical creatures'...this was going to be an experience. A digimon arrived beside the girl and Kyle subtly turned his digivice toward it to get it's name, at least.
After he got the scan he responded to the digimon as he clipped his digivice back onto his belt. "IT would appear that this Keramon and a Harpymon fell through into our world. the Harpymon...was taken care of." That much was obvious from the data that they probably saw spiralling off into the air. "This Keramon needs help though, badly." It had slash marks over it's body from Harpymon's blades of wind.

"It is really unfortunate only one of them could be saved, but understand sometimes it is impossible to reason with some digimons. I wish for the harpymon to reincarnate into a better digimon the next time ..."
It was one of the hardest part about being somebody who tried to save everybody: Not all digimon wanted his help and some actually attacked the ones trying to bring only good to them. This situation was awfully similar to the one he lived with fangmon and biyomon, he lost his life as wizardmon facing the cunning and vicious feral beast to save the life of the poor bird digimon who had the bad luck of emerging in the real world along such foul bloodthirsty creature.
"Ohh ... I don't have enough magic power to use a healing spell, but if I had I would happily use one of him!"
If magic were real, it would be more than useful in this situation. The lunamon checked his vitals and found his life was not in immediate danger, but if left untreated, the wounds would get infected and he could end up ill until the sickness consumed his life. A healing spell ... such thing didn't exist in this world and the closest thing was the effect of a digivice on a digimon ... something that only worked on the digimon who was linked to the digivice. Their only solution was to give him some improvised first aid and to take him to certain place the lunamon knew well.
"We can offer him first aid here, but without a human partner he would be permanently in danger. I can take him to a place where we can find the safety and help he needs, but no humans are allowed there, at least not those who have not earned the trust of the inhabitants yet."
He looked at the lucemon and wondered if it would really be a good idea to let him go with him to the place known as "numemon bar" along the keramon. The last human partnered digimon to visit that place was one silver renamon who lied to them about her origins and identity and he wasn't sure if he could trust in this human partnered digimon ... his heart told him to let him come with him, but his common sense told him that would be a dangerous stunt, so he finally decided.
"First we should find a quiet place to treat his wounds and let him rest a little. Once he is better I can take him to a place that become a shelter for digimon lost in the digital world. I excuse myself in advance for showing mistrust to you, but I can't let neither you nor your lucemon companion to know about its location for safety reasons, I hope both of you can understand why"

The digimon, Lunamon, seemed to have quite an objective head on it's shoulders. It's tamer(?) however...didn't seem to have a brain anywhere near her. Healing spells...wait...he wanted to say that that notion was preposterous but...given digimon and stuff...there was a slight possibility, at least, that she could be right, at least partially...and Kyle backtracked away from that thought before he had a mental breakdown.
"I understand why you're cautions" And the teenage tamer did - he had seen first hand how not all digimon, or humans for that matter, where friendly - his mind flashing back to Devimon, Harpymon, and 'The Old Man'. "But I want to say that you can trust me, even if you don't believe me" The Lunamon had no reason to believe him, but at least saying the words showed he had put the effort into at least verbalising it. "We can go to my place - the rents are away for most of the night - I have some basic first aid supplies there, but nothing heavy duty."

"I believe in your goodwill and would gladly let you come with me, but that is not something concerns only me and many lives would be in danger if my faith were to be misplaced"
The lunamon wanted to believe everybody had some goodness in them and it was his greatest wish to see Gatomon's dreams of a world where everybody got along and conflict was long gone become reality. However, he never dragged other people into following his overly idealistic path and knew well that even if he wanted to trust in others, that didn't make of them good people and choosing to believe in the wrong people might bring danger to those he cares for. Even if he worked along the numemon bar inhabitants before, he was always alone because his path was one he wanted to walk alone unless somebody willingly went along him.
"Thanks for offering your residence as shelter for the keramon, the one of my companion is ill fitted for digimon and I can only go in and out because they consider me a human child who tags along with her in some sort of costume."
Yes, that was the only reason why nobody suspected lunamon was a digimon, it was one of the perks of having a cosplaying mentally insane partner that everybody else believed he was in cosplay as well, and he was a competent enough actor to play the role of a cosplayer midget.

Okay...guess that...explained nothing. Though they were lucky - Lunamon could, sort of, interact with people, and the world. Lucemon had to keep his wings hidden when he was in public - the best they had was getting the small angel a trench coat that could cover all his angelic-ness. Which was quite hard considering the digimon had six wings.
"I guess you could get away with that..." The human said, flicking a glance at the cosplayer 'magician'. "I should be able to carry the weight of Keramon, but...he's a little tall. I may need some help. We'll need something to cover him so noone sees" He felt bad about having to wrap Keramon up in a blanket or something, but it was all they could do. Things wouldn't go down too well if the public saw him. It was the lesser of two evils...

"I can get away with it, but only because my partner is known for dressing with exotic clothings. I think your companion could be mistaken for a costume wearing human child even easier than me, he indeed looks surprisingly similar to a human and that would improve his chances of concealing his identity even if somebody asked about his wings"
There were some digimon whose resemblance to humans was astonishing, and Lucemon was one of them. Take out his wings and he would look pretty much like a normal human boy, and even with them all he had to say was that he was cosplaying to deceive curious people.
"I have what you need!"
The energetic "magical" girl pulled a blanket from a shoulder bag she was carrying as herr digimon told her to do. Originally the shoulder bag was to carry maps of the city, some flashlights and a first aid kit the female human forgot to bring today. Instead, for some reason she had inside a blanket that would easily wrap the keramon.
It is a magical invisibility tunic, it can make things invisible! ... but for some reason it isn't working today ...
"I can see you made something by yourself when I said any digimon we found had to remain undetected by other humans. Good work"
Sometimes the wacky logic of the girl worked in favor of the team, and that was the case this time. The lunamon decided that from now on they would always bring with them a blanket in case they had to deal with an unconscious digimon and secretly wondered if his partner actually had any special power given that until now the few times she acted alone she lead them to good fortune
"That takes care of the keramon's height issues, now for the sake of playing safe we must find a proper excuse to give humans regarding about we are carrying in the case we were interrogated. "
Mankind was a curious race by nature, and with no doubt somebody might stop them to ask regarding what they were carrying covered with a blanket. The Lunamon wondered if telling it was a fake weapon of the kind cosplayers carried sometimes with them would work, but first it would be better to hear that young man's ideas, he lived for longer in this world and most likely could offer a better alternative than his.

...Invisibility Cloak...? This girl was most definitely a little unhinged..but she seemed like a nice enough, and genuine, girl. So that was good enough for him, for now. "Yeah, that blanket would work" He said, taking the blanket and wrapping it around the Keramon, trying to compact the digimon as much as possible to make him easier to carry. It was actually quite tough, since the digimon was unconscious, as so, heavy!
Now...the excuse. What would be a plausible reason for carrying such a...bulk? Cosplaying weaponry or equipment would be a good reason...unless someone asks to see... "We'll go with the weaponry one, that way noone should bat an eye - staffs and swords and stuff. If they do ask..we'll brush it off...?" He didn't relish taking charge like this, but between him, the cosplayer, and the digimon...he was one of the most qualified. "Now..." Kyle said, getting to his feet beside the prone digimon "...to carry him...." He would give it a shot but...he may need help in carrying the creature.
Using his knees he wrapped his arms around the digimon and hefted him over his shoulder, swaying a bit under the weight until he adjusted. "Okay...let's go" He grunted, finding it hard to talk while concentrating on holding the weight - guy was heavy!

"Thanks for your cooperation, it is reassuming to know there are more good hearted humans who wouldn't let digimon suffer alone here"
It was no surprise that digimon were not welcomed in the human world, after all those wild digimon attacks they suffered in a daily basis it was a wonder that some humans still bothered to believe that friendship with digimon was possible.
Both girl and digimon watched as the young man decided to what excuse to use in case somebody asked and how he carried on his lonesomeness the heavy keramon using only as support one of his shoulders. Not only he was honest and good, he was also strong and reliable for what little they saw of him ... thought it was a bit strange that his digimon partner talked so little during all the time they spent there, the lucemon was part of a two-man team and had the right to express his opinion regarding this situation, but it was now pointless to ask him his opinion given that a decision was reached and they were ready to depart towards the young man's house.
"Tee hee, now we have new allies, Mir. One of those days we can create a strong enough party to defeat the evil demon lords and save the universe!"
Aand she said that while they walked through the streets. One of the passerby commented how much they were involved in their little cosplay group and wondered as walked away if the young boy was cosplaying as something else as well. No matter how much the young female human lost contact with reality, she was still a human being who would otherwise fit in a otaku convention and with her around, everybody would think they were nothing but cosplayers and that made her certainly useful, no one can get "in-character" like her after all.
