"... A Renamon?"
Rika hadn't seen another Renamon in the Real World ever before. And this one appeared to look very different from her own Renamon. It was rather odd and peculiar. She didn't want to say anything, but for some reason, she already felt mistrustful, simply because this Renamon seemed incredibly peculiar.
"Where did you get a Renamon!" Rika asked rather shortly with him. She was obviously appearing somewhat upset about this. Her own Renamon sensed this and appeared in front of Rika, standing just a bit to her left. Her mistrust was also apparent.
"You're too old to get a Digimon! Digimon are for children! Where'd you get one?!"

Well this was to be expected after Renee had shown herself, and it was why they were so reluctant in the first place. He knew such questions were about to come after the "reveal". Fortunately, coming up with a convenient lie to answer questions like that. Not that he expected her to believe it of course, she would unlikely do even if he told the truth. And they were not ready to know the truth about the clones... Not yet, it was too early. But, as it was more easily, he could tell ... a half-truth.
- Nobody told me there was an age limit... And honestly, I don't see why a digimon should choose some kid over a responsible adult to aid in his or her quest. I think it was some sort of accident though... - he said and made a pause, as the yellow vixen appeared right in front of the girl, looking menacing enough. He didn't flinch though, because the next moment Renee, who already managed to push the scared and confused girl and her digimon away out the park, reappeared in typical to a Renamon fashion, in front of her tamer, mirroring her yellow counterpart.
- Step aside Renee, this is not a combat situation. I have nothing to fear. - and she complied, taking a step back after he told her to do so. - I'm studying for a programmer, and as my annual work I chose to make a 3-d sentient simulator program. When I was thinking about what it would look like, I chose a Renamon, for the artwork obviously. The program was supposed to perform basic combat moves, and have a degree of sentience, you know, like a bot in a videogame. I was half-finished with my project, when ... well, it came jumping at my face through the screen of the monitor. - he stopped to take a breath. Renee nodded in support of the story - she knew he was lying through his teeth, and figured lending more credibility would be a good idea.
- I got really scared though, my hand reached for something heavy and I sort of ... bashed her in the head. And called the cops afterwards. But instead of cops came around a couple of nice young men in their clean black coats, and ... I don't think you're interested in knowing what happened next. The thing I bashed her with soon happened to turn into this thingamajig... - he said, showing his white and black digivice - - ... and after that we were sort of hired by Hypnos to take out dangerous spawns and whatnot. So ... does that answer your question? - Larry finally finished. Gee, that sure was a pretty detailed story ... for a lie.

Rika was already inclined not to trust him. No matter what he said, she was against him. There was something about a BlackRenamon and an adult who didn't even seem that imaginative having a Digimon that Rika couldn't believe. It was too fishy. And at that, it was a Renamon. Rika frowned. She had quite the urge to fight him, and just a moment ago, she was about to.
"Renamon, lets go," Rika said, now turning her back to the Hypnos member. It didn't seem that she'd be able to fight about it now, but she would most definitely keep this Renamon within her radar to the best of her abilty, and if she sensed anything strange, she'd destroy him and this new Renamon.
"I'm not dealing with you until I can find Yamaki," she finally said as she walked away with Renamon following right behind her.
"If you step so much as a toe out of line, I will not hesitate to destroy you."

- Tch. I'll pretend I didn't hear that... - Larry shrugged upon hearing a threat. Foolish girl. She seemed to forget who she was dealing with. - Because by posing a threat to me, you threaten Hypnos as a whole. And that could have far-reaching consequences ... for you, your family, and your friends. Think, before saying something that stupid again... - he retorted, and turned around. There was nothing else to do here. But Larry was convinced one more time idiotic, self-centered and arrogant children were not supposed to have digimon.
- Let's go as well, Renee. They refused to listen. That one did a huge disservice ... to the whole WH group. - he said to his digimon, and the next moment they both left the circle of light of the lamp-pole, and disappeared into the night. One more threat like that - and it would be war...
