It would be pretty funny to try and describe Larry, mostly because he seems ... completely average. Sure, he has some traits one might find interesting, but nothing that stands out of place, no weird psychic disorder or anything like that. Just an everyman you might meet in class, at a mart, anywhere, but non the less...
Lets point out from the beginning that Larry is no genius of any kind. Sure, he got good grades at school and decent ones in the university, but not because of natural affinity to studies. He had to work, and work hard to achieve same results someone get for granted, being blessed with smarts and talent. He gets envious when people do something better than him, despite all the work he does, simply because they have talent, but believes determination will make up for it. When it happens that said person is beyond any reach, and Larry realizes he'll never be as good in something as that person, he gets angry, cusses, and wants to bite things.
The young man got used to rely only on himself, and is rather independent, because without these qualities it is hard to survive in a foreign country, living off meager allowances his parents send to support him. Because of this Larry learned to be modest in living, not allowing himself anything that costs way too much - like new clothes, or tasty food. Because of this, he usually wears worn second-hand, and is always hungry.
As it was just mentioned, Larry needs to work to get results. It is an important issue, because many, who encounter difficulties in doing something, quit after first failure, but not this one. His perseverance could be considered noteworthy, because he is ready to try something again and again a hundred of times, until he gets it right. This quality is rather appreciated by teachers, and gets respect of those who know him well.
Larry comfortable enough around people - he will not act like an aloner, straying away from any kind of group he's in, and won't like put on a cold and dismissing mask on his face every time someone simply wishes to talk to him - he saw many people walking around like stone statues, and believes such behavior to be simply rude. Masks are to be used appropriately, and the young man knows where and when emotions are allowed to be shown, and when - not.
So how did this perfectly normal, average guy end up working in such a mysterious and devious organization, such as Hypnos? The answer is actually pretty simple: money. Larry knew what poverty is like, and, unlike children, has to worry about how to pay bills and get something on the table to eat. Children don't worry about that - parents provide them with everything, so they often see little value in money. But Larry would take any chance, any job to escape the misery of a slummed dorm he lives in, even for a short while. And Hypnos offered him money. Good money, enough to live decently and even send some to his parents and sick sister back in England.
Needless to say that, despite being away from home, Larry misses his family very much. He could be found homesick quite often, and daydreams about days of the past, when they were together. He always tried to be a dutiful son to his parents and a good, caring brother to his sister. He wishes to return home, when he earned enough money, but that won't be too soon.
There are really few things that could make Larry upset, for he is a type that would rather ignore insults and just go with the flow when things are at their worst, but there's one thing he can't stand - rich people. And people who point out his financial state. Calling them "rich bitches", Larry views everything they say through prism of prejudice, even if they are not as bad as the young man thinks, and, if not careful, this can end up in a fight.
Speaking of fights, Larry actually hates fighting. Fair fighting that is. Not that he's a pro in fighting dirty, he prefers "hit and run" tactic, being fast on his two feet, because parkour was his hobby for quite a long while. Many call Larry a coward for that, but he usually replies to such words with a "He, who fights and runs away..." quote.
Larry's relation with his digimon are ... strange. He understood that the digimon was programmed to be loyal to him, and kinda accepted it, returning the favor, and being a reasonable and somewhat nice tamer, however, he gets a bit crept out from the disproportional amount of fondness his digimon explains towards him. Sure, he knows that his digimon expresses frustration at being only a clone, and often offers encouragement, but can it really spawn such loyalty? Unwitting, he has no idea...
Appearance:
Larry is a rather tall man, when compared to children that is, towering above the ground at height of 6' 2". He is usually clad in his old gray trench-coat, which he bought two years ago, a pair of black jeans and sneakers of the same color - they are good for running around, and are relatively cheap.
He looks a bit older than he really is, the face could be considered rather pale and skinny, though others might find it attractive. Larry sports a pair of glasses all the time, because of poor sight, and knows how to do a lens flare with them to look intimidating. This is usually played for laughs though. The eyes are of light-blue color, and hair is dark-blond, close to gray. The skin has a few wrinkles, and you could find a white-gray hair or two if you look close enough - stress tends to make people age sooner.
It needs to be noted that he always has a headphone plugged into his ear - TACCOM gives him objectives and receives reports on the situation through it. Makes him look a bit weird with that white wire coming out of his ear. So ... thats everything I can think of.
History:
Larry was not born in an exactly wealthy family. His father was a teacher, and his mother - a nurse in an ambulatory. These are not exactly most well-payed jobs, but the family managed to go through all hardships without losing the family spirit. They managed to provide for the child, he grew up in a decent environment.
Things went downhill when the second child was born - Susan. And no, it was not because something changed in parents - both remained just as caring and gentle towards their children as ever, there was another reason. The girl was born ill, and it required a lot of medicaments to keep her condition stable over time. And, as we all know, these cost quite a bit of money. Money the family didn't have.
Fortunately, Larry was old enough by that time to understand that the child was not to blame for such an unfortunate turn of events, so he did not hate the girl for that, quite the contrary - proved to be a good and responsible brother, and helped the parents take care of her, ignoring the fact that he often had to go to bed without dinner.
After finishing school, at age of 18, Larry entered a university in Cornwall to study computers and IT technologies. Not that he was gifted for it, but, as usual, compensated lack of natural affinity with hard work and study. It worked out well, so well, in fact, that he was offered as an exchange student to come to Japan - world's capital of cybernetics, robots and stuff like that.
Larry felt very reluctant to leave, but his parents made him accept, saying that this is a chance of a lifetime, and that they won't hinder his road to a better future. They young man finally agreed, but promised to return as soon as possible...
... Life in a foreign country, with no one to turn to, was very hard. Lack of funds, odd jobs, meager salaries, snobby residents - all that Larry felt on his own skin. He hated this place, knowing it was not made for him, but still, managed. Over time, he got used to local laws and customs, weird food and outfits etcetera. Everything started going relatively well, until one day...
... The city was attacked by strange creatures. Larry was there, when the whole thing happened. The authorities tried to suppress any leaks of information on the incident, but he SAW them. No amount of propaganda from TV couldn't rid him of images burnt into his brain - giant monsters, mutants, aliens, whatever, they were not a mirage, they were REAL. Knowing this, Larry got paranoid on conspiracy theories, especially since some people he knew, who also saw them, gone missing...
One night, when Larry was minding his business in his own room ... there was a knock at the door. It appeared to be that someone was looking for him. A tall man, in a suit, wearing black sunglasses despite the fact it was dark outside. In his hands there was a briefcase. When Larry saw him, he figured that perhaps his digging on the mysterious creatures were something he'd regret right about now. In a manner of speaking, he was right.
The shady type indeed came for Larry, but not to make him disappear, like the others. He came to offer ... a job. The only condition was not to ask too many questions. Although the young man didn't wish to associate himself with a shady paramilitary scientific government organization, the amount of money offered made him reconsider. It was enough to live here like upper-class citizen. When the mysterious man mentioned that his family in England will also receive help from "anonymous benefactors", Larry only asked: "What do you want me to do?"
The job was indeed ... strange. To supervise a strange, humanoid - like creature, which had some resemblance to a fox. An artificial being, they said, and explained that such also spawn in the city, like they did two years ago, sewing chaos and destruction. Larry almost instantly remembered those days - he knew what they were talking about. He was ordered to run some field tests, undertaking missions involving destruction of "wild ones", as they were called, and keeping tabs on any other tamers he would encounter, possibly acting as one of their own. "Digidestined" was the name for them.
Technically, Larry was one of them too. Albeit a fake, artificial one, with a cloned digimon and a replica of a digivice. But who's to say a replica can't be better than the original?
Info:
Knows parkour.
Plays chess.
Has a gun shooting rubber bullets, although the aim is rather poor, but it can be used for intimidation.
Works for Hypnos. Beware.
Digivice Appearance: Gray body with orange-red buttons.

Digimon: SilverRenamon
Nickname: Larry calls her Renee
Gender: Female
Personality:
Renee has a rather ... unusual personality, mostly because she was very much influenced by the fact that she is a cloned digimon, created by scanning a real renamon, copying her data, and replacing or modifying parts that have to do with such qualities as loyalty, aggression, independence, and discipline. This resulted in that she was more obedient, more resilient, and more reliable than unaltered one would have been.
Renee is aware of the fact that she's just a copy, though tries no think on the subject too much, mostly because prolonged realization of that fact leads her to extreme length of frustration. Even mentioning that she might be somehow faulty or worse than the original will trigger an unstoppable rage, and you will be praying for quick death once she gets her hands on you.
Renee absolutely loves fighting, and killing wild digimon. It is a way for her to show everybody that she is better, despite being "just a copy". This goal, even though it sounds strange and obscure, empowers her will to live, to prove she is not faulty. It's a way for her to fight her inferiority complex. But somewhere deep inside there is a worm of doubt, which corrodes her will every time she finds herself alone, when she starts questioning if she will ever be better than the original, or if she will always remain just an inferior copy. She wants to believe she will be able to surpass the original, but doesn't really believe it. One part of her gave up, while the other fails to acknowledge defeat, keeping on struggling. Renee keeps her doubts inside in a vain attempt to suffocate them, not sharing her burden with anyone, aside from her tamer, maybe.
Her relation with Larry is complicated. Code for loyalty predetermined how she would act around him, but there was more to it than simple programming. Her tamer is the only one who knows of her condition, and, perhaps, the only one who believes in her. The only person out there to trust. This is something Renee is really thankful for, making the bond between the two even stronger, even though it is artificially made.
When in combat, Renee doesn't approve the usual head-on tactic, which relied much on skills in martial arts. While she's an excellent fighter, she puts her bet on stealth, agility, and element of surprise, using hit-and-run tactics, which her tamer so highly approves. She would not come close enough for a strong opponent to hit her, instead, she would attack from behind, from above, wearing the enemy out before putting him out of misery with a final blow. Renee usually follows a battle pattern Larry gives, and it usually works, but is able to improvise and act on her own, if things go not according to plan.
