It was amazing how peaceful the school playground could be when not crowded by other students. The silence was nice, and Brittany considered making this her new hide away instead of going to the park, it was large enough to keep Veemon happy at least.
As she sat under the dark, starry sky, she watched the Veemon run around the softball field, giggling as she could hear his impression of the crowd cheering for his imaginary home run. She even clapped for him as he made it to home base, dusting himself off as he bowed towards the empty stands and then towards her.
"Nice hit, though I think you should have aimed more down the center of the field..."
Sitting down next to his tamer, the Veemon chuckled as he looked at her and then nodded.
"I'll keep that in mind next time. Course, I did want to give something to the fans..."
"You are such a ham..."
Both of them laughed this time, leaning back as they laid on the grass, looking up at the stars over their heads. Closing her eyes for a moment, Brittany sighed as she breathed in slowly and then giggled.
"Hey Veemon...What are the stars like in the digital world?"
"Hmm....I'd think their just about the same as the ones here. I mean, for the most part...I rarely looked at them like I do these. I guess...I always figured they'd just be up there and I'd always get a chance to look at them..."
Veemon then turned his head slowly and grinned as he looked at the girl beside him.
"Course, I never thought I'd end up here either..."
"Have any regrets?"
"Nah...Other than the evil digimon, the human world is pretty cool. Plus, I got to meet you and help you become alittle more confident..."
Brittany smiled as she continued to look at the moon and stars. He had helped her become confident, at least alittle more than before. She was now more sure about her choices when she made them, instead of regretting them later. The dragon was truly the lift she needed, she couldn't have asked for a better friend.
"I noticed that.....Thanks Veemon...."
"Aw...don't get all mushy on me now..."
Giggling to herself, the girl then continued to relax on the grass, her uniform blowing sideways in the night breeze.

Chaos walked through the school gates with Goblimon right behind him. “Why are we here again?” the little green Digimon asked his tamer. “Lately there have been more people around the park so it’s getting more and more likely that someone out there will notice you.” Chaos explained. He figured that they could hang out at the school since most people never went there while it was night time. The doors were locked but her didn’t expect to get inside the building anyways. Besides the field was the best place to go, they could just look at the stars together.
As Chaos approached the field he could see there was someone already there laying in the grass. As he moved closer a smirk came to his face as he saw that sitting there was his girlfriend….or love intrest whatever. “So you like looking at the stars too?” he asked walking over to her. Goblimon noticed his friend Veemon was sitting next to the girl so he approached him as well. “Hey Veemon how have you been?” he asked

Looking back, the two saw the familar faces matching the voices, smiling as the looked towards one another. Brittany giggled as she nodded and then looked back towards the stars.
"Mm hmm! Its really relaxing...especially after a long day like I had..."
Turning her gaze back towards Chaos, she held a grin as she patted a space right next to her for the boy to sit.
Realizing where this was going, Veemon stood up and stretched while looking towards Goblimon. At least he wouldn't be alone in suffering through this human love fest.
"Pretty good...Hows it been on your end Goblimon?"

Chaos smiled as Brittany invited him to sit next to her. He sat down by her side and looked up at the stars with her. “They sure are beautiful to night.” Chaos said resting his head on the grass. Chaos looked over at her and gave her a soft smile trying not to say anything corny like how she was more beautiful then them, though in his eyes it was true.
Goblimon let out a sigh as the two humans began to get mushy once more around each other. “Now we’ve got to watch them get all lovey and stuff” he said. “I’m doing okay though.” Goblimon looked out over the field and then smiled. “Let’s go play over there for a while.” he said

Veemon shrugged his shoulders as he then nodded towards his fellow digimon. After all, it wasn't as if either of them would be on their tamers minds at the moment, they might as well do something to pass the time.
"Sure, as long as its not beat the dragon with a club..."
Looking towards Veemon and Goblimon as they began to walk off, Brittany then nodded towards Chaos as she smiled at him. He was right, they were beautiful. She loved nights like this, when the sky was just completely covered with stars. It was romantic, yet you could also enjoy alone...she was glad she didn't have to.
"I love nights like this...."

“No I think instead we’ll play beat up the blue lizard with a very heavy stick.” Goblimon said jokingly as the two Digimon headed off and away from the two love birds. Stuff like this rarely happened in the digital world. Every now and then you’d hear about two Digimon like that, but that was mostly their theme if so.
Chaos nodded in agreement with what Brittany said. “I know, I love to look at the stars out there every now and then.” he said. The tars glimmered in the sky like diamonds. “You know it’s only romantic to look at them when I’m with you.” he said “Whenever I look at them alone, I feel even more alone I used to think nobody out there could understand me. Then you came and now I don’t feel like that anymore.” he said

Brittany looked towards Chaos and smiled as she stared into his eyes for a moment. She didn't know why, she just felt herself drawn to them. Did he really think of her in that way, that she helped him not to feel alone? How strange would it be if she said that he did the same for her? Only one way to find out.
" Its funny....I feel the same way when Im with you...."
Closing her eyes for a moment, she continued to smile as she continued to speak.
"I used to think that no one ever listened to me, at least, not about things that really mattered. Like how I like to sing or do Kendo. But...then I meet you and...well you know..."
Opening her eyes to look at the boy's face once more, the girl could feel her own starting to blush from the heat rushing to her cheeks. She quickly averted her gaze to the side as she turned her head to looking in the opposite side of her.
"Its....really nice...to be open with someone...To not have to live a lie..."

Chaos nodded. “I know what you mean, even if you have a loving family you can still be all alone deep inside.” he said Thinking about his own family. “I’m glade you and I can so freely talk to each other. It feels so wonderful to have someone there that truly cares no matter what the problem.” He took her hand and softly kissed the back of it and then lookink into her eyes once more. “No matter what it is, I will always listen to any problem you have Brittany. I’ll always care about you.” He said.
He had Goblimon to thank for all this. If it wasn’t for him he wouldn’t have been in the park and never would have met Brittany. He was glad she was in his life and he knew she felt the same. And now, looking into her eyes under the star lit sky he knew, love was in their futures togeather.

Looking at her hand as he kissed it, Brittany slowly looked up at Chaos with a shocked expression. She knew already that he meant every word, but it was still hard for her to believe that he could actually be telling the truth. It was almost like a dream, the two of them together under the stars.
"Chaos......"
Feeling his hand still holding her, the girl face was now as red as a cherry. She was almost sure that she'd pass out from all these emotions running through her, but her eyes remained open and set upon the boy's face.
As she continued to look into his eyes, a smile crept onto her face, causing her to giggle as she couldn't figure out what to say to this.

"Ah.....Ain't love grand Gobby? Pretty soon we're gonna be baby sitting for those two over there..."
Veemon chuckle as he continued to watch the humans from the distance. Though while there was much about humans he could not understand, it was nice to know that at least love was something that digimon shared with them.

Chaos was also living a dream as well. It had been so long since anyone cared about him at all outside his family, and now he was falling more and more in love with her every time he looked into Brittany’s eyes. Part of him wanted to kiss her and tell her how he felt about her, but part of him couldn’t stand the thought of her rejecting him. He dug down deep and overcame the fear he hand and just asked her. “Brittany, will you be my girlfriend?” he asked
Goblimon sighed as Veemon made his little comment. “Yeah that’s all I need, another one of him running around and smacking me on the head.” he said but smiled. “On the plus side I’ll get to hang out with you more often.” he said to his friend with a smile
