"Come Brittany! We only need one more goal!"
"Then why don't you take the shot Lilly?"
"Because...they pretty much have my route figured out"

Brittany giggled as he watched her teammates talk among themselves. It wasn't as if this was anything new, just the ordinary process that occurred during gym. Thankfully though, the day had been alot nicer than before, so they were able to have class outdoors. Yet, soccer, while the pick of the game by majority, wasn't exactly Brit's favorite.
Sure, it was fun to compete with her other classmates in seeing who was better, but it just reminded her that it was another thing she was ok at, and couldn't pursue. Chalk another win to tradition...
"Ok girls! So its offical! Brittany takes the shot"
"Why do you always do that Sakura?"
"Because you never want to actually join the team, so I test you however I can..."
"Yea, loving the attention..."
With that, the small group split apart and took their positions on the field. Brittany, resting her hands on her knees, sighed as she watched the other team prepare their pass. Then, as she saw the ball carrier head in her direction, she quickly took off after her.
Managing to get in front of her opponent, Brittany made every attempt to keep up with her. Watching her foot movement, she waited for the first moment to strike, but with this girl being so skilled,it was almost impossible to tell when they time would come. With space between her and the goal disappearing, Brittany frowned as she continued her wait, intill she saw an opening.
"Perfect..."
One miss step, that was all she needed, all that was needed for her to make an impact. Almost to the surprise of the shooter, Brittany swiftly slide herself underneath her, keeping the ball with the heel of her foot. Once from within her grasp, Lilly quickly recovered it and took off down the field.
Pushing herself from the ground, Brittany followed, managing to get up to where Lilly, Sakura, and Kayomie were located. They were almost to the goalie, and she was obviously ready for Lilly to take the shot. But then, the unexpected happened, the girl passed it to Brit, who took the shot while the guard was in a moment of confusion.
A whistle blew, calling the game in favor of Lilly's team as the victors.
"See? I knew you could do it..."
Brittany looked at Sakura with a smirk, dusting off her white t-shirt and shorts as she grabbed her bag.
"Did you, or were you just guessing like usual?"
"Nannari, the point is that you should be on our school soccer team. With your handle on the ball, we'd have a championship that could rival the boys!"
It was true, the boy's team always seemed to be very sucessful, but the girls squad always seemed to have one bad season after another.
"You already know why I can't...Im barely getting away with kendo practice..."
As Sakura walked beside her classmate, she simply shook her head with a smirk.
"Seriously, you're mom lives in the dark ages..."
"She's just firm on traditions..."
"No...she's nutty about them..."
Brittany just giggled as she waved goodbye to Sakura as she headed back inside the school. Meanwhile, Brittany frowned as she noticed something blue by the fence. While she was hoping it wasn't who she thought it was, her prediction become more accurate as she grew closer.
"Veemon! How did you get out of the house!?"
The digimon chuckled as he leaned against the back of a tree, a smirk firmly placed upon his face.
"I climbed out the window. It wasn't that hard...though the drop was alittle rough..."
It was then that he appeared to be looking the girl over. He had just noticed the uniform. Small blue shorts, white shoes and t-shirt. It wasn't exactly what he was used to seeing her in, but then, he did figure that human school was somewhat weird.
"Thats what you wear to play outside?"
"Nodoka! Its a uniform and its comfortable..."
The girl then frowned as she realized that the digimon was just trying to change the subject, which she wasn't going to allow.
"Anyway...You need to go home, I can't play right now. In fact, I should be heading inside to get changed for class..."
