Trying to get home

Naka silently strode down the dark paths of Tokyo's slums. The place wasn't a very good place to grow up, but it was Naka's home. However, he still wished that he had grown up somewhere nicer, like all the other kids in his school. Naka clenched his fists into a tight ball, Screw them! I can get by fine all by myself. Naka threw his fists into his uniform's pockets, rubbed his lucky Dracomon card, and continued his walk. He was certainly annoyed by all the usual sounds of the neighborhood, the sounds of honking cars, of people rummaging through trashcans. He just shook his head and blew a few pieces of hair out of his eyes. Naka quickly became bored of his little nigh time excursion, and decided that it was about time that he headed home. He turned, and started to walk down a pitch black alley way. Before Naka had gone very far, something grabbed at Naka's leg.

"WAAH!! What the hell was that!?" Naka jumped back, knocking over a few trash cans in the process. Suddenly there was quiet laughter right in front of Naka, "Who's there!?" Naka yelled as he backed up against the wall of the building he was next to.

"You're a silly human you know that?" A small little creature said chuckling as it stepped forward so that Naka could see it clearly. The light in the alley was dim, and Naka couldn't make out much of the thing, but he knew that it definitely wasn't human.

"Wha... What in the world are you?" Naka stammered.

The little creature continued to laugh, "I'm Dracomon!"

"Dracomon!? So that means you're a digimon?!" Naka recahed down into his pocket to pull out his lucky Dracomon card, but it was no longer there. Instead a small device rested in his pocket, and as soon as Naka touched one of the blue buttons, a small scanner appeared, scanned Dracomon, and said "Initial Scan complete. Partner digimon found. Dracomon, the pure-blooded Dragon Digimon. He is an ancient Digimon as well as the "ancestor" of all the Digimon whose name ends with "dramon" Naka rubbed his forehead, and laughed to himself, So all those internet rumors where true, what a joke.

The Dracomon cocked his head, and asked, "What's with the laugh?"

Naka waved his hand, and got up, "Oh it's nothing," Naka continued to walk towards light coming from the end of the alley, and turned to the little Dracomon, "You coming or not? We're partners I guess, and I'm not about to leave you out here." The Dracomon smiled, and ran closely behind Naka.

Kaiyou trailed along the sides of a river, tainted with muddy substances, placing his hands in his pockets, the tall black haired teen paused to make sure his partner, a wolf-like creature was following. He was yellow with a blue fur coat and a horn sticking out of his head. "Ne, Kaiyou, where are we?" Gabumon asked tilting his head up at the teen. "Well...I think we're near the slums. I normally dont come this way but..." Whatever it took to keep himself away from his mother's doting eyes was enough for him. Gabumon suddenly rose his head, sniffing the air. "A digimon is near." Gabumon said taking off. Kaiyou sighed. Greeeeat. He had nearly escaped the jaws of death with a Rhinomon, he really didnt need anymore crap tonight. He followed, pulling out his digivice to find out what this digimon was.

Dracomon
Rookie Level

Dracomon smiled and giggled, as he constantly rummaged through garbage cans, occasionally picking up a banana peel and eating it in one gulp. Dracomon raised his head slowly, his nose covered in black coffee grounds, as he sniffed the air. Naka turned around slowly, "Hey little fella! What are you waiting for? Come on if I don't get home soon my Mom's going to kill me!"

Dracomon completely ignored his tamer, and growled, "There's a digimon coming."

Naka hunched his shoulders nonchalantly, "So what? Let's just get to home." Dracomon roared as loudly as a little Dracomon could, and took off toward the other digimon. Naka shook his head, Great, now I have to follow a miniature dragon who's about to take on some digimon who's probably forty times his size.

"A rookie type, huh? Probably wont be much of a threat." Kaiyou grimaced. It was unlike him to underestimate the enemy. Perhaps all this power of having a new partner was going to his head? Shaking his head, he would have to remain a bit more level-headed. Gabumon led the way. Coming to a halt, his eyes narrowed in the direction of the approaching dragon. "So it is a Dracomon." He said flicking his spiked yellow tail. Kaiyou remained quiet, arms folded, he stood behind his digimon.

Dracomon halted near the blue haired wolf, breathing heavily, as if it wanted to attack the thing. Naka finally caught up to his partner, and put his hand the nearest building, using at a place to catch his breath. Naka blew out a sigh of relief, and looked down at Dracomon, "You're finally done? Good. Man I need to work out more if you're going to be doing this often." Naka chuckled to himself, but stopped as he looked at what Dracomon was growling at. Naka's mouth gaped open, as he tried to grab Dracomon and drag him away from the thing, "Dracomon stop it! This thing isn't hurting anyone, so let's just get out of here!" But something stopped Naka, he knew that some one was behind the digimon watching him, and mostly likely laughing at the fool that Naka was making of himself. Naka let go of Dracomon, stuck his hands deep into his black pant's pockets, and looked up at he black starry night, "This yours?"

Kaiyou remained quiet whilst the scene played out. Gabumon drew up his lips in a snarl at Dracomon in return. "The creature you refer to as 'this' is called Gabumon. Hes my partner." Kaiyou said moving to stand beside him, arms folded as he watched the two. "And you two are?" He asked. He would give his name after he got Naka's. After all, first one to speak was the one who should give their name...or something like that.

Naka looked down towards the boy, "Huh? Oh you where talking to me. Well, I'm Nakajima Kureno, and this little bugger is Dracomon." Naka exclaimed as he picked up the little dragon, and gave him a nuggie. Dracomon's fierce attitude melted away, and his childish demeanor appeared, "Heyyy! Naka stop that! I won't to play some more!" Naka slapped himself in the face, and scolded Dracomon, "Dracomon that's what you call playing? It looked like you two wanted to rip each others head off!" Without even looking up at the boy, Naka shock his hand at him, and said, "Neah, sorry bout that. Little guy just likes to act up. So what did you say your name was?"

Gabumon grinned, taking off towards Dracomon, the beast tackled the small dragon. Kaiyou bent down, looking up at Naka. "Kaiyou Ryuuza. Thats Gabumon." He said motioning to the digimon who was attempting to gnaw on his horns. Gabumon was a playful infant at heart, which often surprised others when he showed his true protective nature in battle.

Dracomon was laughing and yelling, "Hey let go of my horns!" Every once in a while if Gabumon did manage to grab onto them. He was squirming every which way, trying to get Gabumon back by getting a chomp on his tail.

Naka chuckled to himself, Mental note, get Dracomon a chew toy. Mom's going to kill me if this guy eats any furniture. Again without taking his eyes off Dracomon and Gabumon's little tussle, he said, "Kaiyou huh? You live anywhere near here?" Naka said as he motioned towards the dimly lit road, which hadn't actually been driven over in over a year.

Kaiyou smiled gently. "Yes, I live out in a nearby mansion. I live with my mom and my half-sister, Kouryuu." He said watching Gabumon who would growl playfully, occassionally biting on Dracomon's horns. When the dragon would bite on his tail, he would snarl in a playful manner. The playful beast-type digimon would grin and try to paw at him.
