Jeri looked at her Digi-vice, blinking as she realized that Impmon was right. But just as she was about to give chase, Salamon pulled her towards the exact direction that the rookie imp had fled. Screaming somewhat at the strength of her partner, she managed to somewhat grin at both Mako and Ai as they dashed passed them in their attempt to keep up.
"Salamon! Slow down!!Stop!!!"
When the creature finally obeyed, she stopped so suddenly that it sent the young girl falling onto her knees behind Impmon. While her gaze was somewhat split between her partner and the imp, it soon refocused when it saw what exactly their target was.
At first, she didn't want to believe it.Shaking her head slowly as her eyes remained wide with terror. But when she saw that the image of the Leomon wasn't fading away, she knew that it was real. It was a Leomon...She could never mistake a digimon like that. Not on her life...not ever. The look on Impmon's face showed that he was having the same trouble that she was, yet she wasn't sure if they were thinking along the same lines on how to deal with it.
"It...It can't be....Maybe its just another digimon that looks like him...."
Looking down at her D-Arc, the description came up as she feared. It was a Leomon.
No...No...why?
While the two seemed to be dealing with some mental struggle, Salamon simple growled as she remained at the ready. It didn't matter to her if this digimon resembled some old friend. The way she saw it, it was all the the past. She was Jeri's partner now, and the Leomon they knew was dead.
"Come on....Why are you two just staring at him? If he goes out into public, it will be a nightmare!"
Jeri looked down towards her partner and then back at Impmon. Maybe she was wrong? After all, Leomon were usually noble digimon. They wouldn't attack without being attacked first. Meaning, maybe they could just let him be and hope that he just did the right thing.
"Maybe...maybe he won't do anything bad...."
"Are you crazy!? This guy could kill an army!"

"I smell... Humons."
Leomon sniffed, smelling the new foreign scent in the air. Even in this new environment, he could differentiate between the scent of the humans and the Digimon. Nonetheless, he knew that it was likely an attack would be coming soon. If anything, he would be ready. He had to deal with these pursuers. He had his own purpose, and his own plan. As for now, however, he needed to wait for this Digital Field to vanish so that he could roam free in the human world and begin searching for the catalyst.
"Come out humons, I can smell you..." Leomon said as he took a few steps forward before turning back and looking where the humans were currently hiding. He couldn't see them, but it was easy for him to know their position.

Its just a different Leomon. That's all it is. Impmon thought. Salamon was right this guy might not be as kind as the Leomon he and Jeri knew. For now though, the Leomon was just standing there, but of course he was waiting for the field to lift. Who knew what he would do once he was free. "Hmph! Fog too thick for you or something? What are you even doing here in the digital world?" Impmon barked, at the Leomon. He wasn't going to assume anything, and he couldn't let memories hold him back. This guy really could be a threat, and he definitely was not the same Leomon. Impmon just needed to keep telling himself that.

Jeri was having a hard time keeping herself in place. While she knew that it was dangerous to just a approach a wild digimon, her heart keep compelling her to run towards it and hold herself close to the creature. She closed her eyes in attempt not to look on the Leomon anymore, but then its voice called out towards their direction. It was then that her body froze, opening her eyes again slowly.
I can't.....I can't let myself think that this is Leomon....Hes....hes dead! Remember that hes dead!
Jeri continued to repeat this in her head, forcing herself to try and believe it. It was easy to do so when something exactly like it wasn't staring you directly in the face. Not when all feelings from years passed returning to your mind so rapidly.
"Yea! Why don't you come out and find us!? Scaredy cat!"
It was strange that with all this emotional events occurring around her, Salamon had no problem with attacking the Leomon. In fact, she was hoping that it would give her a reason to attack.

Leomon turned his head and frowned momentarily before looking back to the group of kids. It appeared that they really weren't going to make this easy for him. That was rather unfortunate. He wasn't a fighter. He was a warrior. Leomon upheld his version of justice, and he would do whatever it took to maintain his honor. That was the way of the Leomon. That was the way of the Lion. Because of that, he had no strong desire to fight, but if that's what it came down to, he would be willing to sacrifice his honor. After all, this was for the safety of the Digital World.
Leomon took a few steps toward the small group, stopping a few feet before them. He was quite a bit taller than they were. They appeared to be so small and fragile. Could he really destroy creatures like that? He did not know. Perhaps he would have to. Hopefully they would be able to comply with him.
"Listen, I don't have time to play around with you kids," he said sternly. "Give me the catalyst and no one will get hurt!"

At the mention of 'the Catalyst' Impmon had yet another reason to believe this Leomon was not the same one. After the catalyst? The over grown cat was with that Raremon and the digimon that attacked Jeri the other day. "Hate to break it to you but you are wasting your time. That pipsqueak isn't here." Impmon growled. "But I'll do you a favor and blast you back to the digital world! Infernal Funnel!" He shouted, summoning a large fire ball and hurling it at the Leomon.

At the sound of this threat, Jeri was able to snap herself out of it. It would appear that Salamon was right after all, this digimon wasn't anything like the Leomon she knew. In fact, with it asking about the catalyst, it meant that it was one of the many digimon that had been come here to look for him.
But, why keep coming if he wasn't here? Could it be that he was hidden somewhere and that they had yet to locate him at all? This was becoming more and more crazy as things went on. Yet, this wasn't the time to think upon it,especially since Impmon had already engaged the lion in battle.
Before she could say anything, the large fireball had already been launched, causing the girl to look away as she prepared for the worst. That being, the Leomon now charging towards their location.

Leomon kept his eyes focused on the small purple Digimon. He wasn't very fond of fighting Digimon smaller than he was, but the Digimon was trying not to give him much of a choice. Leomon stood still, placing his hand on the hilt of his sword. With a speed only the most advanced warriors were capable of, Leomon quickly withdrew his blade and held it in front of him to block the fire attack. The attack itself really did not seem to do much damage to Leomon as the blade prevented the attack from even hitting him. On the other hand, it was likely that the attack wouldn't do much damage anyway because of their difference in level.
Leomon then placed his sword back into its holster as he looked to the rest of the group. They would really be quite an annoyance, but he had a goal to accomplish. He had to do his job, and no matter what, he could not let these children get in his way. There was simply too much at stake. There were too many lives which he had to protect.
"Is that it? I really have things to do. If you cannot tell me where the catalyst is, then leave me be. I have to capture him myself for the sake of the Digital World."

Impmon snorted, as the attack was blocked. Well, it wasn't like it was the only thing up his sleeve. Then Leomon said something about capturing Calumon for the sake of the digital world and he simply rolled his eyes. "Oh really? Sake of the digital world? What danger is the digital world even in and how is a cream puff supposed to help?" He shot back.

Jeri watched as the small imp stood tall against the monster that was twice his size. But then, she remembered that Impmon was always like that. But aleast it had some reason behind his courage. He was trying to insure that this digimon didn't get anywhere near his tamers, or the people within the amusement park. Seeing this reminded the young girl that she had promised to try and be brave. It was something that she had to do in order to keep that promise to her friend...
So, building up as much strength as possible, Jeri quickly pushed herself out from the cover of the ride, standing behind Impmon with a calm expression. Though as she looked towards the Leomon, she slowly felt her bravery sinking towards her feet. But, despite her desire to run, she made sure to keep her feet firm to where she was. Yet, as she listened, she began to once more believe that this Leomon, while misguided, was still attempting to try and fight for a noble cause.
Just like Leomon would....
But, her thoughts were interuptted when Salamon was next to appear, standing beside Impmon as she lowered herself close to the ground. One paw stretched out infront of the other. She appeared ready to pounce at anytime, her gleaming eyes staring the lion down.
"Yea! Like is there a shortage in digi-volution again or something?"
Perhaps maybe she should leave the talking to Impmon, but being as confident as she was, her pride wouldn't allow some other digimon to speak on her behalf. Besides, this had just as much to due with her now as it did the other two...right?
