"Strange words coming from somebody who once was a shamamon, I heard they are spiritual digimon, but you are quite the exception."
Hashim talked about the devils being weird, but he was an even weirder digimon. As the devimon said, shamamons were spiritual shamans who believed in the spirits and in fate and it was highly unlikely to find one who threw away the beliefs of his species and replaced them with cold and pragmatical thinking far away of his spiritual roots.
"Nevermind about that. And if you want to practice your fighting skill, you choose the right devimon. Unlike others who prefer to scheme from behind I like to charge into the frontlines and I can teach you the basics of sword and dagger fighting while you are here"
Indeed, as much he could tech the basics to Hashim. He might be a swordsman, but that didn't mean that he was good at teaching how to fight. There is something called "pedagogy", the ability and science of teaching, and the devimon's teaching ability were not so good, and with so little time left before the action started Hashim wasn't going to be able to learn much anyway.
"Eh, the punishment? This time he went easy on me because I'm one of his best soldiers and only left me half-dead as that wound shows"
He pointed at his chest, where skull satamon hit him really hard with his staff. Other digimon would've ended with broken bones and severe internal damage in their organs, but not this devimon, he was very tough and was respected for not dying despite skull satamon pretty much almost punched a hole through him
"When he really wants to punish somebody badly, he ties them to five devidramons that pulls the victim's limbs and head and if after getting dismembered is somehow is still alive and survived the decapitation, he leaves the victim drying on a desert-like area and letting the devidramon eat its organs and bones slowly"
