Reijiro scratched his head, being puzzled as to how to react to the creature's plea. This all sounded too much like some weird dream of some sort. He was at places he knew, talking with an alien creature... two of them, and one was asking for his help. The raptor thing, Dorumon was it?, sounded sincere enough about it though, despite the "weird cardboard-costume girl" was suggesting otherwise. And both looked much like children to him, even sounded like ones.
Plus the story... A girl who was maltreated by her parents and now lived all alone in the woods, sulking in her hatred towards humanity... it was more than enough for the boy to feel sympathetic towards her... even if he never met the girl before, and had no idea what it will be like. Well, the latter was only partially true - he had experience dealing with ... difficult children. Plus, he was quite a gullible, if kind soul. He believed the raptor's story, despite it would sound implausible to just about any other human.
- Ok... I guess she really needs help... - he said after a moment of thinking.
- Are you serious?! - the pawnchessmon exclaimed in amazement and disbelief. She was not able to comprehend this - the guy was actually gonna believe that weaksause story?! Impossible! He did not look THAT stupid. And yet, he was talking with two aliens and helped her a while back, didn't he? Despite anyone in sane mind would have ran away. - What if miss Crazypants attacks you?
- Hey if she'll try anything I'll run away and get back when she's cooled off.
- NO WAI! Who'll bring me stuff then? I'll go with you! And if that girl tries anything I'm gonna... - Joan's prattle ceased when Rei put a hand on her head, shaking it a bit.
- You're not gonna do anything. It will only make things worse. So you won't do anything that will cause harm, ok?
The dorumon, however, seemed to become irritated by their bickering, and decided he'd be better off trying his luck with someone else. That was an obvious lie of course, chances of finding a person who won't run away were ... close to zero, but Rei got agitated anyhow. How was he gonna find the girl if he didn't known where exactly to look? The forest was huge!
- Hey! Wait! Don't go! Um... Where can I find her? What does she need? Maybe I can bring some stuff to her too... Living in the forest all alone surely would make her needy on some things...

Indeed, Dorumon was growing tired of them arguing over whether he was trustworthy or not, and having lost what confidence he had that this was ever going to get anywhere, he just wanted to get out of this mess before it got any worse. It apparently didn't go that way though, as Reijiro called him back. "W-wha? You'll do it?" His tail swished eagerly, though he clung to his dignity, not allowing it to progress further into full out tail wagging.
"Well, I can take you close to where she lives, and if you can get her some food at least, that would be great. Clothes are necessary too, though she's good at maintaining what clothes she has, and stitching them up. Patches and thread would do well." Dorumon said, though his awkwardness towards asking for help stopped him from going too crazy with requesting much more from him.
"It's this way. She lives in a gap beneath a large tree in the woods. It isn't too difficult to notice." He said as he began to lead the two along. "Now, there is a couple other things you should know about. First, you want to keep your distance. She has metal claws. Not in the best condition, but they could still do a number on you. Just keep your distance and don't push her too hard and she shouldn't chase you."
"Second," He went on, his tone became somber. "I've pretty much lost all trust she ever had in me. Long story short, she wanted me to kill a digimon that had ran it's mouth with it's righteous lectures. I kill those who threaten my pack. That Lunamon was just an annoying pest. I refused, and she pretty much took it as betrayal. She's been chasing me away from the den since. She'd likely do the same to you if she found out you were doing this on my request, so it would be a better idea if you not mention I have anything to do with you coming to her."
Dorumon then suddenly stopped, though his feet itched to continue, he couldn't risk getting closer. "This is as close as I can take you. Go straight and you'll find a clearing, and Amber's tree will be on the opposite side, you can't miss it."

Reijiro scratched his head when he heard what kind of things the girl needs. It was no biggie, they had plenty of that stuff back at home, mother had a hobby of tailoring, and she won't mind even making something for that girl, should he ask her. But first things first - he needed to bring her something. Usually one would consider it a great strain to supply TWO people here - the not so cardboard-wearing girl, and the nutcase the ... digimon described. But the boy had a big heart - he'd give the last to a complete stranger, should need be.
Metal claws certainly was not helping calming his companion down though, adding more strain to the wary attitude of the small pawn already. So ... the nutty girl was not only nutty, but also armed! There was no way she'd allow this silly tall harmless human out there alone! Not without her. Should the crazy lady attack, she'd show her 'ye old swash and buckle. But that would have to wait, for the human did not look like he was going out there immediately. He looked like he was just memorizing the way here.
And indeed, that was exactly what Rei was doing. No point in going there this instant, he was bare-handed, he had nothing to bring the girl. That certainly won't win any approval. Why he was doing this again? Two aliens, a nutty girl in the forest... He pinched himself to make sure it was not some kind of a weird dream... No, it wasn't. Hnh, guess he was stuck with those two after all.
- I will bring the supplies here... Right now I have nothing. She will still be around here by tomorrow, right? I'll gather the items for her... And will try to help.
- You sure it is a good idea? I mean ... claws and all.
- Sure I'm sure. I am a fast runner, just in case. And ... I help you, don't I? Why shouldn't I help someone else who needs it too? - this light-hearted answer was imbued with patience and serene kindness of a monk, the effect left the small pawn without anything to say to talk him out of this. She never saw anybody who would help out a complete stranger, just like that. It was ... something to be respected... Turning around, Rei looked at the dorumon again.
- I dunno if I will succeed, but I will try helping out. You have my word.

"Yes-- Er, I mean... She should be. I don't see why she would leave..." Dorumon responded to Reijiro, unable to suppress a bit of alarm at the possibility that she might not even be there. It was possible she might have found a new den to prevent him from finding her. If that was the case, things would be more complicated than he had initially considered. It wasn't like he had been attempting to return to her, so she didn't really have much reason.
Dorumon sniffed the air carefully. Amber's scent was just barely beginning to go stale. She probably was just out... 'shopping' or something. "As far as I can tell, she hasn't abandoned the place." He said, somewhat assured. Well, hopefully she wouldn't decide to leave here before help could come. "Thank you. I'll be keeping a distant eye on your progress, but it'd likely do you no good if Amber found out you are doing this for me, so we should avoid further contact with each other."
"I should probably leave you to... whatever you were doing." The Dorumon said finally, then began to take a few steps away, only to pause a moment. "Thank you." He said. Those words were passing through his lips a bit more often than he liked as of recent. Renee, Lillymon, now this... Well, for Dorumon it took the cake, he was a human! Uncertainty still pecked away at his head, but what choice did he have? Amber's problems wouldn't fix themselves, and he no longer had the power to do it himself.

- You're welcome. - Rei only added as he watched the little guy disappear into the woods. This was officially his weirdest day ever ... yet. Would give him something to contemplate for the day, for this sertainly doesn't happen with people often. Or is it? He didn't yet know how many people got involved with digimon...
- Good job! You got rid of the annoying twerp. So ... you're not gonna hold to that promise, would you? - the pawnchessmon asked hopefully, wishing all this just to be a clever lie to make the purple dino go away. Because otherwise the dude, whom she knew for so little time, but for whom she was starting to care about, would get into a lot of trouble. And then she felt his palm on her helmet.
- Course I will. I gave my word, didn't I? - Reijiro only said, before turning around and setting on a way out of the forest. He had his faults, but he could never be accused in not holding to his word... The chess piece had yet to understand that, but for now the tiny girl just strolled after him... They had much to do...
