Ever since the whole amusement park incident where Tian had gotten Tsukaimon as a partner, the young man had done two things that he deemed important. One, he had gone out to buy some Digimon cards and a guidebook on what each type of card did. Two, he went to the library to see if there was any information on Digimon that would prove useful to him. It seemed like an easy task up until he had to figure out a way to get Tsukaimon into the building without anyone seeing them. He had to put him in a backpack with the zipper slightly open, so that he didn't suffocate. Neither of them liked this idea because it was very uncomfortable to both of them.
Eventually, Tian and Tsukaimon were sitting on the eleventh floor, which was strangely empty at this time of day, but Tian was not thinking about that as his mind was preoccupied with other things. "Alright Tsukaimon, you can come out now. There is no one around to bother us." With that being said, the purple Digimon popped out of the backpack gasping for air. He looked extremely frustrated about being trapped in a backpack for the entire walk over here. "I am sorry about the unpleasant ride, but carrying around in my arms or on my head would look extremely weird." The fact that a kid wear robes was carrying a backpack at all was pretty weird, so no need to add to the situation.
"You could have just said I was a present for your little sister or something. It gets really warm inside of that thing. And what are we doing here anyway?" Tsukaimon would have known the purpose of this visit if he hadn't been so busy eating all the food that Tian had brought him last night. The little Digimon was a little glutton when it came to his mother's sandwiches, which made Tian look like he liked them. He didn't mind it though as it made his mom really happy. His partner landed on his head to see what he was doing.
"We are here because I need to know more about Digimon, and I need to learn quickly. The internet is one of the fastest ways to do that, so that is why I am here. You are technically here because you didn't want to stay at home by yourself." Tian had been typing on the computer the entire time with Tsukaimon trying to keep up with the web pages that were popping up. There wasn't much to go on because a lot of the pages just detailed stuff about the game. "Well this was a waste of time."

Hui-Ying was a great student, and it wasn’t particularly hard to keep her grades up. And when she got bored, she found herself wandering to the library. Knowledge is power, and Ying wanted power. So she wanted to know just about everything she could know. She was a rather quiet person when she is tuning out the world, which is what she was doing right now as she sat in an armchair, nose deep in a book about American history. She hadn’t heard her cousin and his buddy show up when they did, because truthfully when she was reading she didn’t really hear anything else.
After a few moments as they kept talking…she rose her head from her book, closing it as she got up and put it back on the shelf. She had finished, and was curious about who had invaded her space. No one was ever here this time on this day, so why was this person? But she had to admit, at least one of the voices sounded familiar, though she couldn’t quite pin point whos it was. Ying had met her cousin naturally, but she hadn’t interacted with him much, so he was more or less a stranger. She had known his sister for years, but Tian himself Ying hadn’t really met more then a few times before he moved to town.
Curious, Ying whipped around the corner and when she saw him she recognized him. But oh? What was that next to him…what sort of creature is that? “Hello cousin.” said Ying with a questioning look as she approached him and his…creature. She wanted to know what odd creature this was. She had never seen such a thing before. “Who is your….friend?” she asked him, giving Tsukaimon a curious look.

Tian was deeply focused on the computer screen, so he hadn't noticed his cousin's approache. When he finally did, she had asked him a question about who Tsukaimon was, which he thought was going to lead him into his first lie. Apparently, Fate had other plans as Tsukaimon turned towards her with a big smile on his face. "I'm Tsukaimon, and you look like Tian's sister." His little friend's statement had done something good and bad as it kept Tian from lying, but it also revealed to his cousin, Hui-ying that he wasn't a stuff animal.
Honestly, Tian and his cousin were practically strangers with the fact that Tian had spent most of his life in China and only recently came to Japan. He definitely saw her more now, but only when she came over with his aunt. Even then, it was a brief interaction at meals if dinner was being shared. Now came the long explanation that would probably be the longest conversation that the two of them had together in their entire lives. "He is a Digital Monster, which can just be shortened to Digimon. Tsukaimon and a few others appeared to me and some of my classmates a few days ago when we were in trouble."
"They come from a world not like our own, and they have powers that you can only read about in stories." Tian was not sure how his dear cousin was taking this, but he knew that he was going to have to ask her to not say anything about this to anyone. It was vital that he have more time to figure this out before he revealed Tsukaimon to his family. [So what do you think?/

Ying smiled at Tsukaimon, interesting. “Why yes, we do. She is my cousin you see. So we look alike.” said Ying as she turned back to Tian. “Digimon you say? That kids show and game?” since when were kids shows based off of real creatures? And why had she never heard of these things before? And how did her cousin find out about them before she did? Despite her confusion, not once did Ying show anything short of a pleasant expression.
“How interesting…” said Ying as she turned a bit to peek at what was on the computer screen. So he was researching these things was he? Well if they were meant to be a secret its unlikely he will find anything about them. Was the government trying to hide them maybe?
“Hmm…powers…” rather then acting like most would and say ‘that’s impossible and stupid they don’t have powers!’ Ying liked to think that anything is possible, in the right circumstances. She believes in what can be proved, and seeing this creature was proof enough to her. “Well I think you are very cute little guy.” she said as she patted Tsukaimon on the head. She would discuss this more with her cousin later when the little purple bat thing wasn’t around
Suddenly…there was a break in the digital field. There was a small amount of fog off in the corner between the book cases, so small that it wasn’t even visible before it disappeared. From there..smoke appeared. There was a fire burning in the back of the room. Little fires, but still…with all these books it wouldn’t’ take long for it to expand…

Tian was not as in tuned with the world as Ying seemed to be as he had not known that Digimon had been a television show until the day following getting Tsukaimon. Living up to his father's expectations had not left a lot of time for relaxing activities such as watching the TV set. Her questioning statement was not followed by the confused look that most people got at this point in the conversation, so Tian figured that his dear cousin was someone who learned to control what her emotions did or did not control about her body.
Ying's eyes glanced at his computer screen where his research was being conducted on the subject. "When Tsukaimon appeared, I was helping some friends protect this other Digimon from a guy with a fox-like Digimon. The man seemed to be with the government, so I thought I would see if I could find any person who may have made a comment on such a group existing." So far, nothing had come up that was worth mentioning to her.
Tsukaimon did not like the fact that the girl had patted him on the head, but he endured it because she was related to Tian. Otherwise, she would have gotten a faceful of Purple Haze, which would have been rather unpleasant for her. His ears perked the moment that the Digital Field had broke. "Oh great. Now we have trouble to deal with." He fluttered off of Tian's head and flew over to where he had sensed the Digimon.
Tian was not sure what was going on, but he figured that it must be really dangerous if his partner had said that it was trouble. "Cousin, I think that it may be time for you to leave the area. There is apparently something here that might prove dangerous for you." He really hoped that she would heed his words and flee as Tian was not sure what was coming for them. This was all still new to him though, and he might actually need her assistance.

“ Hmm..interesting. So…a man with a fox…digimon attacked you and your friends? He must have issues to attack a bunch of kids.” said Ying. “ But if it is a government thing, they are probably very good at keeping the discussion un seen. And I don’t know how much experience you have with computers, but you need more then a basic understanding of computers for that kind of research.” said Ying. She had been raised around computers most of her life, and she was very good at research. But she wasn’t so sure how much her cousin had. When the purple bad…Tsukaimon mentioned trouble, rather then running like a ‘normal’ girl would have, Ying wanted to see what sort of trouble he meant. Was it another creature like him? “ No thanks cuz. I would rather get a better look at these things.” said Ying as she smiled and followed after Tsukaimon. Not far off, was a little red and teal dragon digimon. Dracomon. “Yay! Yay! Fire is so awesooome!” said Dracomon as he continued to blow flames. He wasn’t PURPOSELY lighting books on fire, they just were in the way of where he happened to feel like breathing it…

"The main issue was the fact that we were interfering with his apparent job by protecting the Digimon that he was after," responded Tian. "And I have adequate skills with a computer, but you are right about them keeping most of it under-wraps. Which means that I may have to find the man again to find out more about this whole thing." His father's academic requirements meant that he needed to know how to use a computer, which also led to his father buying him one. Tian had sold it when he moved in order to remove unnecessary things from his life.
At the beginning of the day, he figured that he had made an error in judgment, but after looking on the internet Tian knew that he didn't really need it. After seeing what they were up against, Tian was not sure if Ying's decision was a wise one, but his decision a few days earlier had not been that good either so he was not one to judge. "What is the weird lizard guy doing?"
Tsukaimon landed on his head and stared at the Dracomon, when he patted Tian on the head and smiled. "I do believe the Dracomon is playing around, but check the digivice if you are unsure." His partner really liked to sound smarter than he was by pointing out the obvious, which only worked in certain situations. This one could have been considered one as Tian had not known that some Digimon liked to play around.
The young man had almost forgotten about the device that he had attached to his charm necklace. A picture of the Dragon Digimon popped up with some facts about it. It was definitely a rookie level like his Digimon, but it seemed to be doing everything by accident. "If you wouldn't mind, then could you stop burning the books. I know some people hate literature, but I do find it to be rather informative." Tian was hoping that the Dracomon would do as it was asked instead of forcing a fight out of him. He wasn't sure how to use the cards that he had bought correctly, and a test run was necessary before an actual battle.

Dracomon turned to face Tsukaimon and the humans. They wanted him to stop? “Why? Its fun! Why should I stop? Literature, what’s that?” he didn’t read books, why would a digimon read books? He didn’t even know that the place he was in was called a library. He flapped his wings a few times before landing and giving the purple bat pig digimon a curious look, before looking at the humans. Ooh lucky day! He found humans so quickly! Ying on the other hand, was very interested in the dragon digimon. A dragon! Amazing! Though her expression still remained the same. Thinking for a moment, she approached the dragon digimon. “ Hey, you are…dracomon right?” she asked him. She had heard Tsukaimon call him that, so she was going with that. “ What are you here for?” she asked him as he grinned. “To get stronger of course. Partner digimon grow at an amazing rate compared to normal digimon. I want strength, I want to be powerful. So I seek a powerful partner who will bring out my potential.” he said honestly with a grin. “ Really now. What sort of strength exactly.” most would find this odd, having a conversation with a dragon. And while Ying did find it odd, she was intrigued by the little dragon digimon. She wanted to know more about them. To have her own. Her cousin had one, so why couldn’t she? “We digimon fight and absorb the data of other digimon. And for some reason, doing it with a partner makes us grow faster. I don’t know why, just that we do. So I want one. I want to be the best.” he said, staring at the human girl standing before him. “ Very well then. How about you be my partner then? I will make you stronger.” said Ying as she grinned at the dragon digimon. “ Hmm..you can make me strong? ….fine! I will give you a chance! But if you cant do it I will find someone else, a better human to partner with.” said Dracomon. Suddenly a flash of light appeared, and an item appeared in Ying’s hand. A digivice. “ This…what is this…” Ying questioned as she stared at the strange item. “We are partners now! Don’t let me down!” said Dracomon as he walked up to Ying, turning to grin at Tsukaimon. He obviously felt he had the superior partner to that bat digimon.

"You should stop because it is a crime and could lead to someone getting seriously hurt." Tian was not sure of how mature this particular Digimon was as it seemed to be ignorant of what most people call common sense. Then again, most Digimon probably thought that they were common knowledge, so he figured it could be argued that using fire randomly was considered to be a safe activity in the Digital World.
Another peculiar thing that Tian noticed was that his cousin was eying the new Digimon very curiously. She was asking him a lot of questions that Tian had asked Tsukaimon after meeting him, which had cleared up a lot of things that needed to be answered. So most Digimon that come here are trying to get more powerful by gaining a human tamer, but why? What do humans have that make a Digimon grow at such a rate much greater than they normally do? I find out answers only to have more questions arise. The subject of Digimon truly was a complex one that could drive any one into a paradox if they were dwell on it for too long.
His cousin did another strange thing by asking the Dracomon to be her partner, and it accepted her right away. This little decision was followed by a digivice appearing in his cousin's hand. Now this was really unexpected. I did not think that Ying would also receive a Digimon partner. Tian rather hoped that his younger sister wouldn't get one as it seemed far too dangerous for her to have a Digimon after what that guy had done to that monkey Digimon from a few days ago.
Instead of feeling jealousy over the fact that his cousin had received a Digimon, Tian was thrilled that he had someone else to talk to about this whole situation. "Congratulations cousin. You have just received what the show has referred to as a digivice. It has multiple uses that I have not completely figured out yet, but it does let you aid your Digimon in combat." Tian had only figured this out because some of his research had come up with the video game where there was a card swipe that allowed for cards to be used. The digivice had a similar component, so Tian put two and two together.
Tsukaimon was staring at the Dracomon with this look that meant that his partner was definitely better than the girl. He felt that Tian would be able to bring out his true potential at a much faster rate than his cousin had, so Dracomon could go back to playing with the Digi-gnomes.

“Eh, so what?” he really didn’t care what they considered a ‘crime’ here. He was just doing what came naturally, burnin’ stuff. Though this sort of stuff shouldn’t be burned. Now that she was his tamer, Ying looked at the flames. They had to stop them before they got out of control, then they should leave before they get caught. “Now, Dracomon put out the fires you started.” after some whining, Dracomon complied. He began to suck back in the flames he caused, stopping the fires and leaving the charred remains of books behind.
Turning back to her cousin, as Dracomon stood at her feet Ying spoke. “We should get out of here before we get caught. Let’s fine another place we can discuss this…’digimon’ business.” she said as she moved to leave. She didn’t really want to deal with explaining this to the librarian.
As Tian suddenly began getting all excited over the digimon thing, Ying just rolled her eyes a bit and smiled. “My my, you remind me of your sister when she gets a new toy. You do remember you are suppose to be the older one right?” said Ying with a wink. This was probably the most she had ever really talked to her cousin. They never interacted much before. Could they really still be considered cousins when they were more or less strangers? Well genetically yes, but other then that…how were they that much different from two people who met on the street?
Dracomon felt a sense of superiority over Tsukaimon, and he couldn’t wait for a chance to show that purple bat just how awesome he was! He will get strong soon, and digivolve, and then no one can stand in his way!
