- Current situation could be considered rather stable. Casualties at first were motivated by the element of surprise the creatures had - nobody saw that menace coming back again. Now casualties are kept to a minimum, and tamers have shown increased activity in deleting spawns, though, according to reports, these are motivated by the fact that they just came around looking for trouble, and were attacked by said spawns... - Larry explained what happened now, albeit shortly - the information given to him by Hypnos was ... scarce at best, and this was understandable - they were not supposed to know everything, they were just agents.
- For now we go about our ordinary lives. To the rest of the world we're just a bunch of foreign students, who rent a flat here. That is the legend, our cover. We must not blow it, or God forbid get filmed during mission. But whenever TACCOM detects a spawn, we are supposed to go out there and destroy it. Those bastards have a habit of appearing at night though... - Larry closed the mouth with his palm as he yawned - yesterday was a busy day. - These usually happen 1 - 2 times per night. - he added, passing the file and photos to Renee. Blue fires appeared on her hands, effectively destroying the papers, not leaving ash or even smoke.
- Night raids are fun... There is little more satisfying than putting a bullet through real digimon's cranium at point-blank range... - the silver vixen said with a bit of malice in her voice. She couldn't help it - killing things was probably the only thing she knew how to do, the only thing she was talented at. her other skills, including social, were kept to a minimum. Larry shuttered.
Nice… nice… nice… nice… Should we next find some insects to pull the legs off? Sounds fun doesn't it? - he replied sarcastically, making it obvious he didn't quite like the intent. Renee figured that out, turning her head away, being a bit ashamed. Larry wanted to say something else, but was interrupted by a calling sound of a commlink.
- Go ahead, TACCOM. - he said , switching the sound on, so that it would be loud enough for everyone to hear.
- Stalker 1, did Stalker 2 made it to the rendezvous point? - the voice asked in the same intonation as always. Larry had a hunch that is was a machine, not a person at all, but it didn't matter anyway.
- Yes, she's here. - he replied shortly.
- Good. We have a mission for you two. There were some reports of various wild ones spotted near an abandoned hotel "Welcome", in the southern district of the city. You know where that is? - the voice asked.
- The slums? Err... yeah, I know where that place is. - Larry said a bit reluctantly. The southern district was a place good people don't show up at all, and it was the worse place to be in at night. Good thing it was broad daylight currently. Not even constant police raids rid that place clean of scum and villainy.
- For some reason these wild ones do not show on our scanners, perhaps we have a blind point there. The sightings were made by several of our agents, and all reports differ as to what kind of wild one it actually was, so the conclusion would be there were several. Your job would be to determine thread level of that ... hideout. If you two will be able to clean it yourselves - do it, if not - determine what force will be able to. Everything clear? - the voice asked a bit curiously.
- Crystal. Ending transmission... - Larry replied and switched the radio off, turning around to face the others. Renee kept grinning in her corner, obviously pleased with what she just heard.
- Well if it isn't a wish coming true...
