Vincent calmly enters the park, wearing his brown overcoat in anticipation of chills and rain. There wasn't much signs of life on this bleak day. He couldn't tell if he just happen to be in an area without birds or if they were only being silent. The only noise was the wind blowing. Will I be lucky today, or just another vain search.
It's been a couple weeks since learning of tamers and Digimon, the truth that they are real. Work has been halting his personal investigation. Perhaps if he were to tell his editor about his find, they would let him investigate at his leisure. Unfortunately, that means betraying the tamer he met and promised. Who knows how many people would be stalked and hounded for their digimon. He had enough honor not to do it. Vincent only wants the truth, not have it unnecessarily negatively impact people.
Sticking near cover, Vincent watches over the park. Their were two things to watch for. A unique device and a strange creature. His hope for coming out here was logical. Who would honestly come out here, today, unless they really need to.

This was a nasty day indeed. No sun, the sky was clouded, and promised rain any moment now. The chilling wind, which was hindering moving against it, and all the dust it kicked in the air. The reason most people were inside during such weather - nobody wanted to catch a cold, or get covered with said dust from tip to toe. Well, not everybody had a luxury of staying home - some had a job to do...
Laurence was wandering through the park for good half of an hour now. He was looking for rogue digimon, or digimon with people - those had a habit of wandering or showing up here one way or another. And considering today were few people outside - this would be the best time for them to show up, being less prone to bad weather and all that. And, upon finding any, he would do his job - eliminate the former, or add info on the latter to th database...
Suddenly, he saw a person from afar. It was not possible to tell who was it, the distance and dust obscured vision though. Who else would be here looking for trouble anyway? The strange man was waiting for someone too... Suspicious to a degree, but he probably had a reason to be out here. As Larry approached closer, the image became clearer. The person was obviously a foreigner, just like him, and was definitely waiting. Curious, the young man approached, and asked:
- Excuse me, are you lost?

Vincent was wondering if he was going to actually find anyone. It was a large park, but the wind on his face made him think the storm is going to worsen real soon. If that happens, he should find shelter or make it quickly to an exit. The wind was the only thing making noise until he heard a man asking him a question.
Upon turning around, he sees that the man was probably a foreigner. He couldn't tell right away where he might've been from, but he hated the fact he just went up and asked him. Though, he thought being civil and lying would help the situation better.
"You see... Uh, this guy at the store I browsed in, said there was an excellent sushi place. All I had to do was take the shortcut in the park, south. Don't suppose you know which exit this is." Of course, he knew he was in northern region of the park. He hopes the guy would give him directions or just lead him out. He wanted to finish his search before it rained.

Larry shrugged when he heard the question. He knew the area well enough, having patrolling it day after day after day, but he never heard of any sushi bars around. Maybe the store guy was mistaking or something. The young man never really liked sushi to pay attention to places they were served in - he looked on these as on undercooked fish, and, considering how many people got poisoned with it, never expressed interest to try any.
- I do not think there are any establishments like the one you seek around here. Perhaps your informant was mistaking... - he finally answered. - ... if any of those could be even considered "excellent". Never understood how people can eat uncooked fish anyway... You shouldn't stick around this place at times like these though, a good chance to run into some shady person and all... I know a good old-fashioned bar not too far away from here though, I can give you directions... By he way, you didn't see anything suspicious around here, did you?

There were three things he didn't like about the man. He was trying to get him to leave, purposely looking for anything 'suspicious', and had to give his opinion on sushi. It was probably a good thing he didn't find Leo or a different digimon-partnered child or this man would probably think of him as a pedophile. I hardly think this is a cop. Even one undercover wouldn't ask something as obvious as that.
"No I haven't. Then again I think half the things I see here are weird." He laughs, dying a little inside. Vincent can play 'stupid tourist' pretty well. but had felt not dignity in doing it. "Yes, if you can give me directions, I'm sure I can follow them. Just probably took a wrong turn."

Larry's eyes narrowed a bit, as he observed the stranger's face. It seemed vaguely familiar somehow, but he couldn't really recall where he had seen it. Maybe he was just imagining things, maybe not. It didn't really matter. So far the stranger wasn't suspicious at all, and most likely was just a wandering tourist, or, at least, gave the impression of one.
The young man shivered a bit when another cold strike of wind went across the parkway, thrashing the sides of his old coat around. Maybe it was really time to find some place nice and warm, he had wasted enough time around here for nothing. It was time to declare that the sector is clear, and go on a well-deserved day-out. Maybe this tourist guy will even agree to accompany him.
- Meh, I think I will be going that way too, everything seems to be quiet here, so no point in freezing my arse here. Will lead you there by the way. They make very good stew, among other things... - Larry said, making a few steps in the right direction, before turning around for a second, saying:
- Name's Jerry, by the way. And ... I think I saw you here somewhere before. Are you a public figure by any chance? - he said a fake name without blinking. For safety reasons

In the digital world, a fierce battle was going on. One was a veemon brimming with fighting spirit while the other was a patamon defending itself as hard as it could
"Veemon Headbutt!"
The ferocious veemon headbutted a harmless patamon and continued punching it until it was half-dead ... forget that, he continued punching it until it outright died and become data that the veemon found tasty after absorbing.
"Tasty, now who's next? I'm the champ ... oooh crap, what's going on!?"
This veemon was a powerhungry digimon with a lust for battle, and this poor patamon was his third victim this week. He was having a winning streak and nothing would stop him from bullying and absorbing the data of digimon weaker than himself for his goal was to become the ultimate digimon. Alas, his goal was truncated as fate decided that he was going straight to the human world just like it happened to many other digimon, thus becoming into yet another random digimon spirited away by the strange phenomena that caused this kind of incidents
Back in the real world, a thick fog materialized out of nowhere in the shinjuku park, preventing curious eyes outside the park from witnessing the events that were going to happen inside.
"What the heck happened? I bet those punks pulled a trick on ME, the ultimate warrior!"
The veemon appeared at only a few meters from two humanoid figures. They clearly were new challengers that pulled a cheap trick on him knowing that alone they were no match for the self proclaimed ultimate warrior.
"You punks think you can outsmart me? I'm so gonna enjoy eating your data. Veemon headbutt!"
The veemon threw himself towards the humanoid figure that wore some sort of transparent contraption on his eyes and had a gray trench-coat equipped as armor. The fool, that kind of thing hardly was of any use as armor the veemon thought, having fought and beaten humanoid digimon that wore actual metal armor or were made of metal.

The man was getting on his nerves. He'll think of a way to 'get lost' later. "That sounds ni- Oh crap..." He sees the same fog that he did before a giant killer chicken came out.
Serious, Storms getting worse, let's get going now.
But before they get going, the veemon gave his war speech and charged right at Vincent. He nearly dodged the blood-thirsty monster. He's afraid that he has to play a violent game of tag, hoping a tamer will come by and take it out.

Larry noticed the suspicious fog appearing in their way, it was thicker than most, and formed far too rapidly to be a mere coincidence. And the young man already managed to figure which signs promise trouble. And this one promised enough of that. The beeping of his digivice hidden under the coat confirmed his suspicions. The man took out a gun from his pocket, looking around warily.
- Remember what I said about trouble? I think it just found us... - he managed to say, before the digimon dashed at the two, consumed by pure bloodlust. Larry didn't manage to get a good glimpse on it, or try shooting it whatsoever. Just when the veemon was about to strike him, the young man just felt ... teleported away at the last moment. (( that was a kohenquo made by you-know-who ))
- No, honey, you will dance with me tonight... - the words were directed towards the veemon as the human was suddenly replaced with a malicious-looking silvery demon-fox, who met the head-butt with a nasty counter-kick, wishing to send the digimon flying, if hit, with the sheer strength of the blow...

Using another of their cheap tricks, the target of his attack somehow teleported away and instead was replaced by a digimon the veemon clearly recognized as one, some silver renamon. Nevermind, a third victim made this even better
"Veeemon Power!!!"
The veemon, even after realizing how he was set up to receive a brutal kick in the head, continued his furious headbutt lunge, it's not like he could change his direction in midair anyways and crashed directly with the kick the renamon tried to use to stop him. Little she knew that veemons were known for having rock-hard skulls and this one was no different so even if he got hurt with the counter-kick, the renamon was going to get even more hurt for kicking something that could shatter rocks.
