The Keramon may have been slightly annoying, but he was kind of cute in his innocence, and hearing it's screams of pain was making Kyle quite rageful at the harpy creature that was now flying down towards them. He would have liked to go to the fallen digimon, but he couldn't Not yet.
Lucemon didn't know if his first two javelins had hit or not, but the harpy - Harpymon - was coming down at him from up in the trees. He put his hands infront of his chest, palms facing each other as he summoned up his Grand Cross - ten small spheres of super-heated light in the shape of a cross - that he threw up at the incoming Harpymon, not caring whether he put enough power into it to obliterate the larger digimon - it deserved what was coming to it after committing so much pain so something so seemingly innocent. As soon as he sent the attack hurtling upwards he called another javelin of light to himself - ready to parry any blades that were sent his way.
Kyle cast one last glance at the prone digimon not far from him but had to lift his digivice off his belt and get his cards ready - he had a feeling Lucemon might need him in this fight.

The Keramon was out of comission for good, Harpymon figured, but it was not that useless weakling that was her target - the Lucemon was. And she knew her attack had to count, since on long range she'd probably lose to his cross attack, so she needed to get close enough. And she was more than prepared to charge head-on into that cross-shaped conglomerate of white spheres that was coming at her, willing to take some damage.
She rammed right through the center of the cross with her body, the white flames leaving burns on her body, but at least she was through the barrier, and now there was only the angel in front of her, holding the javelin. He must have summoned it to defend against her in melee, however, Harpymon was much more cunning than that. Making it seen that she was going for impact, she suddenly stopped a meter away, and launched her Wind Seeker at point-blank range. And considering Lucemon was a pretty big target, accounting his wings ... yeah, this ought to get ugly...

As soon as Kyle heard the Harpy-like digimon call for it's next attack he knew that at the reduced ranged on of the blades was likely to hit Lucemon and wreack havoc, especially if it hit his wings. "Digimodify!" The tamer said, grabbing one of the cards that he had removed from his pouch for a time such as this. "Metal attack activate!" He shouted, swiping the card, a small white glow coming from the card reader slot.
Lucemon was an angel one second, and then the next a layer of metal had seeped over and completely covered him. He still spun his javelin in front of him and crouched into a ball - using the javeling to try and parry off the wind blades. One blade of wind made it past his defences, but with his metallic skin it's effect was practically negligible. Now it was Lucemon's turn. With the distance between them he threw out another Grand Cross Attack - this one at a more close range - before he flew right at the champion level digimon - with his metal skin the harpy's physical attacks would be greatly weakened. As he got close to the bird digimon he swiped at it with his javelin, not caring whether he killed he the bird or not - though obliteration of it would be preferable.

Harpy writhed in rage as her clever idea did not work. Out of nowhere the angel suddenly got covered with metal, which rendered her wind blade useless - that only worked against "soft" opponents. The angel meanwhile summoned another cross to launch against her. The white orbs appeared one by one in order to strike her. The attack was powerful, but it still had one flaw.
It was an area attack - the cross itself was pretty large, and it couldn't possibly hit in full such a nimble digimon like she was. Few orbs scarred her side, but that was it - all others flew past her without even being close to her. She wanted to tear the arrogant angel with her claws for that, but the guy seemed to be having the same idea, charging in with his javelin like that.
He grabbed the javelin mid-way with her claw - it was made of metal, and did not feel pain. But the angel's weapon was effectively immobilized, while the harpy had other claw left to use against him. With a vicious screech, she attacked the Lucemon, aiming her claw to slash across the chest - her claws were very sharp, and even the metal coating would not be able to stop them in full...

Fortunately for Lucemon he wasn't a complete rookie - he was a warrior, and so has trained. As soon as the Harpymon grabbed the javelin and immobilised it the young angel digimon let go of it, allowing the javelin to quickly disintegrate into photonic data, and then nothing. As his hand left the javeling he spun backwards and away from the Harpymon - being in such close quarters wasn't a good idea as Harpy had some wicked claws on her.
Lucemon felt the claw graze his wing, but since he was rolling away, and his wing was metal, it just sparked and stun some, but nothing lethal. Thankfully. Now that there was a few feet between the two digimon Lucemon spun in mid-air, creating and then throwing javelin after javelin with each revolution, aiming in the direction of the Harpymon. The barrage would keep the champion on the defensive, in theory, as Lucemon stopped spinning suddenly and threw another Grand Cross at the vicious enemy digimon.
From the ground, Kyle was in awe of Lucemon - he knew of his attacks but didn't know he could be so relentless with them. Go Luce! he though as javelins rained at the Harpy's vicinity, followed by the more lethal cross shaped orbs.

The Harpy was getting annoyed. The enemy, despite being a mere rookie, managed to hold her back without as much as a scratch, while dealing damage to her continuously. She was a champion and yet it still was wearing her down. But the angel underestimated her as well - she was experienced too, and would not take these hits forever. As the javelins went at her one by one, she made distance quickly, and parried, the projectiles with her claws.
Then, when another cross came around - the harpy did not evade or take the hit - she launched her wind cutter attack at the center of the cross, the white orbs being hit and ending up in great explosion, in which the flyer had disappeared from sight, as the blast wave rose up a lot of dust out of nowhere. She was gone ... Or was she?

Lucemon knew that the Grand Cross had been intercepted only half way - he knew that the bird lady was still out there. He backpeddled away from the explosion, putting distance between himself and the smoke that was obscuring his vision - the further away he was the quicker he could see Harpymon. Like always he conjured another javelin, ready to parry.
Kyle, meanwhile, from the ground, was watching the battle with keen eyes, his eyes scanning the skies for the malicious winged beast digimon. He knew that the metal armour around Lucemon would start to dissolve away soon, and prepared his two other cards - again, just incase. Speed could come in handy - twice the barrage of javelins and better dodge ability. Teleport would be a 1 UP of sorts, a get out of death attach range free card. The tamer couldn't see anything - the cover of darkness around the park was working for Harpymon's favour - the javelin of light in Lucemon's hands making him stand out very distinctly...but being a winged beast Harpymon could probably see well in dull light or something, so the javelin didn't make much of a difference.
Lucemon was quickly rotating back and forth, looking all around himself quickly - in the event that Harpymon went for a back attack. Though still being covered in metal would help if she did manage to surprise him, but it would be wearing off very very soon...

A mistake. They had made a mistake, in assuming that Harpymon would be on to attacking Lucemon again. This was too obvious of a move to make. No, the flyer was much more cunning than that. She figured that iron armor appeared for a reason. And that reason was the human that did not leave the battlefield when the fighting started...
Using the fact that both were expecting her to come at Lucemon, the flyer made her way around, staying out of sight, gaining another makeshift element of surprise, and when getting a good sight of the boy, suddenly, and soundlessly, flied at him from behind, her claws extended to dig into his warm flesh. This would have been a sure-fire kill if not for the...
- The mean lady is behind you! - Keramon managed to spout out, rising himself on his remaining unharmed hand, in an attempt to warn the boy...

Both Kyle and Lucemon spun towards where the voice was directing them - not six feet behind Kyle. The human literally spun and leapt back as hard as he could, landing hard on the ground - but right now that was inconsequential since there was a big clawed beast almost within slashing range of him! And he really didn't feel like getting clawed at again.! "Digimodify! Teleport activate!"
Lucemon had just begun to move towards his tamer when he disappeared and reappeared a couple of feet behind Harpymon. He quickly conjured up his Grand Cross attack and hurled it at the back of the harpymon - at this range it should do significant, possibly fatal, damage. If the malicious digimon survived Lucemon would have to be quick - his skin had reverted back to normal, the metal receding into nothingness. Not giving the Harpymon time to adjust (or recover) he flew at the bird, aiming his javelin so as to impale the creature and destroy it.
Kyle didn't see any of this - after he swiped his card he saw a fizzle in the air behind the Harpymon, but the bulk of the bird digimon blocked out the view - all he knew was that Luce could get the jump on the thing, if he made it quick.

Damn it! That little shrimp of a Keramon ruined her perfect plan! And at the worst moment too - it gave enough time for the human to dodge her violent attack - her claws went only an inch away from him. Still, this wasn't over yet - she would get her revenge... or would she? Wait ... what is that light behind her? And where did the angel suddenly disappear? Oh no, he couldn't have ...
The question did not need a verbal answer, since the orbs of light hit her in the back directly, and the Harpymon went down in flames, with a terrible screech, hitting the ground with all the speed and leaving a nasty mark on it as she crashed forward... But she was still alive, for now.
- Why you ... gah! - a gasp came out of her throat as she felt something hot went right through her digicore, and looked down, seeing a shiny spike coming out of her chest. She was stabbed, in the back. And killed. So fast she couldn't even react. With a moan the harpymon slid down to the ground from the blade, and slowly started disappearing into a cloud of data...
